2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

Yep, we had to change um. Check out my PTR and you can see why.

All-Star Movies Feb 3rd to 10th.

How did you pick your week? With the free dining promotion, I could plan my dining and add the free dining later ? Should iI book how?

I really don't know how we picked our week (Sept. 12-22). We are hoping for free dining. We were there in 2006 during that time and it was great.

Mrs Grumpy, We were also there in Sept 2006, ( Sept 9 thur Sept 17) It was our first family trip. Daughter #2 got proposed to at Dinner At Cinderalla's Royal Table On Sept 10. May be we saw each other. : :mickeyjum :mickeyjum

You were gone by the time we arrived. That year we went Sept. 22-29th.

Where are you planning on staying for next year? We are going back to POP.

We not sure, Thinking about Pop Or the family suites at music. Not sure if everyone in one set of rooms will work. Hubby and I are early rizers. You said you attend the Halloween party Twice, if any night the best.

We only went one time to MNSSHP in 2006 but if they schedule is like it is this year in 2009 and it is on Tuesday and Friday night we plan on going to both. I know it is a lot of money but we really enjoyed it. It is just my husband and I.

We are also the type that are up bright and early and waiting for the parks to open.

I am really starting to worry about the oil prices though and airline tickets. I have a high budget set for them but I am afraid it might exceed that the way it is going.

Mrs Grumpy I did not no that the halloween party was on a Tuesday night I thought they where only on weekends. How early in Sept do they start? How much do they cost. Should I be booking my resort now? How do I do the quote? Sorry for so many /??? just trying to learn. Hope you having a nice weekend , its Hot here in Ohio, going to be in the 90 today. I'.m watching my Grandson today, we just finished watchin Mickey clubhouse.::MickeyMo

I'm really looking forward to MNSSHP for our 2009 trip. SIL says it is great!
I have started researching restaurants for the trip. Last trip we used the DDP and were able to eat at so many great places. I will have to be cut back this time, as we are staying off site.
Also, we didn't use photopass last trip. I have seen so many cool pictures on a photopass thread that I am going through and making list of the photopass locations I want to use next trip.
We are soooo busy right now with summer baseball and I am getting ready for my annual yard sale. After things slow down a bit, I am going to start to put my WDW binder togethr. I can't wait!

Here is the info:

MNSSHP 2008

I think this is the first year that there are Tuesday dates in September. If they do that next year then we will go twice. The price though has gone up also so I need to start saving more.

I have a Deluxe Passporter that I use as my binder. I love it.

What dates are you going? We are going Sept. 12-22 and staying at POP.

I loved Photopass. It is just DH and I so we were able to get pictures of both of us. I think I ended up with around 100 pictures and I bought the CD when I got home so that I would have them forever. I also got the photopass movie which is also great.

I've heard that you can pre-purchase the Photopass CD online, prior to going to Disney. Has anyone else heard about this and have a link?

Thanks!

YAY! I'm making my new ticker today! We're now going in September, not October (going to try to take advantage of the free you know what... if it's offered (crossing fingers!). We'll be staying at POP (never stayed there before) and taking DME for the first time! (we've only stayed offsite or at the Swan) YAY new experiences. I'm ready to go home!!! :cool1: ... in a year and a few months... :worried:

Here is the link to the Photopass page here on the DIS - you can read all about it here - you can also click the link at the bottom of the page and it will take you to the main Photopass page where you order.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/digital-photos.htm

If you pre-order it is $99.95 and $124.95 if you buy there or after you get back.

There is also a photo shoot that you can do at several different resorts - if you pre-order the CD, then the photo shoot is only $24.95 extra.

You can also share the photopass with others going around the same time that you are (they have alot of photopass shares here on the DIS) - my sister & I plan to share one (makes it $50 each), and our family also plans to do the photo shoot. Has anyone here done the Grand Floridian photo shoot before?

OK! We picked our dates! Sept 16-22, 2009! We've decided to try POP- so excited! Hopefully there's free 'you know what'... :thumbsup2. We've never had the DDP before either, so this would be a trip of many firsts! Sad considering I've been there how many times now?! ;)

Congrats!!! Looks like we may be at POP at the same time. What are your exact dates?

This may be a silly question, but keep in mind this will be our very first trip to Disney, so there is alot that I am still learning. When you check into the resort, do they give all members of your family a key card with their park tickets & dining on it? Children get their own card right? Or do adults just have cards (with the children on their cards)?

Since there are 11 of us going, my oldest daughter will be in a room with my sister (the smaller kids have to be with us, and at POP only 4 to a room). So just wondering if we split up and go seperate ways at times, then our oldest will have her own key card, right??? Just want to make sure how that works.

Thanks!

That is right everyone gets a key card. It must have all the dining info on the cards (we didn't do dining plan so I am not sure). If you leave a cc at the front desk you can also charge things to the cards (i didn't do that WAY to easy for me to over spend) Last year my youngest loved to get his card from me at the end of the day to open the room.
What better place to ask questions than here? Last year was my first trip and I have a million questions and spent hours searching this site, reading three guide books (passporter is my fave).
Now for next year I am still searching this site and reading guide books and learning all kinds of things. We have duped this trip "Once in lifetime trip part II":dance3: :dance3:

On a side note I broke down and just bought our plane tickets for our trip. $800 more than what I had originally planned for (big OUCH!!) and it is taking us 16 1/2 hours to get home, but only 11 to get to disneyworld. I have cut a day out of vacation (but right now that is from visiting relatives, sorry Aunt Pam).
After getting through this shock I am starting to realize that I AM GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
