2009 Discussion-We'll make time fly by!

Thanks for the info! Guess we'll have to be careful not to scrub our hands too thoroughly then -- or go swimming ?? :confused3

We'll be in your area in July -- South Shore/Marshfield. DH has family in that area. (He grew up around Lowell/Chelmsford) and I went to school in Western Mass for a short time. It will be great to be at the beach in July!

Haha... I work in Chelmsford. Small world

I teach 2nd. One of my students went to WDW in October, and another is going in May. One of the dads who was in for our Halloween party sat down and just talked about their summer trip with me. It was great!!!! I love to hear about other people's trips :thumbsup2 !

I teach elementary music, and my students know that I love WDW. After winter break, some of the kids told me about their Disney trips. I was so jealous!! Of course I was happy for their magical experiences, but a bit green with envy. :crazy2: June 2009 will be here soon enough, and I'll have fun planning until then.

Yippie! I have finally got the second job that I was wanting - so Disney 2009 is a go! :cool1: Yeah, that is how obsessed I am... I must get a second job to go to WDW...and I am doing it!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone.

Good morning,

I am sitting here thinking of breakfast and dreaming about my Tonga Toast, lol. Ahhhh! Here's to '09.:yay:

I will probably work on my scrapbook from our 2006 trip today and dream of 2009.

Have any of you tried out www.disfriends.com? I just found it the other day. I joined and use the same name over there . . . Mrs Grumpy

This should be current and somewhat accurate. If I'm wrong about your name/dates/resort or if you want to change something or if you just want to say hi, either post or PM me!

Post your info, and I'll update the list!

It's 11 below here this morning, way to cold for me wishing for warm Disney weather. It's a good day to start to plan a trip (and to avoid my math homework that is waiting for me). Here is a begining draft of our time at Disneyworld (subject to change at least a million times from now and when we leave).
arrival day - just hang out at the resort we will probably get in late in the afternoon
rest day - with the time change we will not be able to get up early to go to the park- this was a hard lesson to learn last year when we slept till 10:30 and then went to epcot - we waited in line for over 2 hours for test track :scared1: :scared1: - so we may head over to DTD in the afternoon.
mk1- Crystal Palace for breakfast
epcot1- Garden Grill for lunch - would like to do an EMH AM
mgm - Hollywood and Vine for breakfast
typhoon lagoon
animal kingdom - tusker house breakfast emh pm
rest day or half day at a park - Chef Mickey's dinner
epcot2- Norway Princess lunch EMH PM
animal kingdom or mgm
mk2- EMH PM
departure day - Ohana's breakfast :sad1: :sad1:

Wow I have planned 7 character meals, do you think that is to much?
I can't wait until I can make ADR's and start having dates and times.

I thought I'd join this thread because my husband just suggested that we could possibly go back to Disney December 2009.

We are trying for a baby so we can't really plan too far in advance, but I'm geeked that we will either have a baby or be heading to Disney by the end of 2009 :goodvibes

either way, sounds like '09 will be a big year for you!

I have 6 character meals planned and it is just DH and I. We really enjoy them and it makes us feel like a kid again.

Lots of character meals are great. I figure they save you all that pointless wait time in the parks standing in line to meet characters. With the character meals, you're guarnateed a visit or two from each one there. As long as you don't linger and burn too much daylight there! And they're even better before park hours--you've burned NO parktime!

--I like that rest day up front. Time to explore the resort, get a swim in, myabe check out DownTown Disney. It's always a let down to stroll into a park mid-day and expect to hop on a ride quickly.
--I like the CP for breakfast--especially if it's before park opening hours!
--I like emh morning at Epcot-go to Soarin' right away!
--I love emh evening at the MK on your last day! :goodvibes
--the rest looks good. You can solidify the order of your parks when Tour Guide Mike releases the best/worst park days for your dates (if you're using him)
