Come in, state your team, grab a cold one, help yourself to the peanuts and Crackerjacks. Grab a chili-dog or hamburger & chat with us. Looking to be an interesting October. (Even if your team has been eliminated for the season, still come join us. There is more than enough food & drinks to go around.)

Magic number for the sox to get into the Wild card is 2!!!! looking forward to another postseason at the Fens!! will be sitting in the bleachers once again for the first game at fenway

Yankees fan here!! Grew up in NY, watched many great seasons. Love to see them on top again. Can't wait for October! :cheer2:

Reds fan here. We were just hoping to finish over .500, but that's not looking good. We do not have our expectations set very high.:lmao:

Haven't decided who I'm rooting for in the post-season yet.

YANKEE FANS HERE!:banana: We are loving this season. And nothing better than SWEEPING the sox to win the AL East!

We are die hard fans - have been for years! Love the rivalry all in good fun! I will rag on any sox fan I see- and I expect the same in return:rotfl2::cheer2:

Not so much good fun up here in Sox country! We get dirty looks all the time - and I mean ALL THE TIME - when we're out and about in Yankee hats. Rude comments too. Sure makes it easier to deal with when the Yanks are on TOP!!!

Long time Yankee Fan, and fan of any team that beats the Sox. :teeth:

Second best team is Tampa Bay because of moving to Florida. ::yes::

Looking forward to next weekend when Yankees are in town playing Tampa Bay. :teeth:

Most likely it will be the second string, but hey, it's baseball!

Looking forward to a great Series.

It won't be this year but I'd LOVE to see the Dodgers and the Yankees go to the Series. Joe vs Joe. Whew. Couldn't get much better than that!

Marlins fan, playoff hopes slipping away. Atleast we will have the NL batting champ and ROTY.

Lifelong baseball fan who loves the Braves! I've been ridiculed already for continuing to watch games even though the Braves may not be playoff bound.....:confused3 So what? I love baseball and enjoy a great game...even the meaningless ones!

Pass the Crackerjack!

popcorn::

Always glad to see fellow a Braves faithful. :cool2: We made it close this year. It'll be interesting to see how they do next season with it being Bobby Cox's final year. Might be the fuel the rocket needs, and get us to another pennant title.

*Passes around the box of Crackerjacks. popcorn:: Throws some hamburgers & hot dogs on the grill.

eh....bring on hockey season! With the A's AND the Giants out of it, I've got the "hookairs" attitide!

My beloved Brewers fell apart. And now, I will mourn another baseball season gone and anxiously await next season.

By the way, do none of you eat brats??

I love German brats. I'll throw some on the grill along with the hot dogs & burgers.

Haven't heard much from our defending champions yet. Where is our Philly nation?

Updated the OP (9/29) to include the LA Angels. As of last night, newest members to the "not playing golf or watching NetFlix this October" list.

Tonight could be a good night for Boston with a win or Texas loss.

Go Yankees!!! I have tickets for this weekend when they come to Tampa Bay...I can't wait :cool1:

Update:
Sox down to Blue Jays 7-2 in the 6th. Looking like Boston will have to count on Texas losing if they want to seal the Wild Card spot tonight.

Yet another update. As of just one minute ago, the Texas Rangers lost to the LA Angels. Meaning the Boston Red Sox clinch '09 American League Wild Card spot.

Where's our Red Sox nation?

Go Cardinals! :banana::banana::banana:

We were in WDW during the 2006 NL playoffs and the World Series ... quite possibly the best trip ever. :goodvibes

No Red Sox fans? A day after taking the Wild Card title? Maybe we're running low on champagne.

So far, it's looking like Yankees & Cardinals win for having most enthusiastic fans this year. That would actually be a great WS matchup. :cool2: My first pick would be like one of the pp's mentioned. A "Joe vs Joe" WS having the Yankes and Dodgers meet. Joe Torre coaching *against the NY Yankees would be ironic.

I updated the OP recently to include a favorite team head-count, so we can see which team is liked the most this year by the CB. :)
