I am booked for the August 15-day repositioning cruise from LA to Port Canaveral.
I am booked as a single and in a guaranteed category 6 (with veranda) room. (Presently, they are not allowing us with points to book specific rooms. They are just guaranteeing the specific category that we tentatively booked in.)
The points for this cruise for a category 6 w/veranda are 969. (In cash equivalent, that comes out to just a little over $4,700.) If I were to purchase it with cash, if memory serves me correctly, it would have been around $6,900.
To do a little comparison, I went on the Magic (on low season) this January for a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise and a category 7 w/Navigator's Veranda was 339 points for the week.
Considering that this is a 15 day cruise in the high time of the cruise season, I think the 969 is probably relatively comparable to the point system from this present year. If I calculate a single cruise (14 day transatlantic in August) in a category 6 (513 pts) at 175% the cost (the typical charge for a single on Disney's cruises) the cost would be 898 pts. So 969 is relatively comparable.
So, until they print the chart on our
DVC site, just go to the present one for this year's transatlantic and you can figure out from there what your point cost might be.
As to booking now, unless you have an initial hold on it (I booked mine January 31st!) the repositioning cruises are sold out.
