me too. Living in snow land, I really need it to be warm on vacation to be happy. John wanted to take an Alaskan cruise and I told him I would be thrilled to go as long as it was balanced with a caribbean cruise afterward.

We did Alaska years ago (before kids) since my husband likes the cold weather and I always made him do warm weather trips. It was beautiful and a great trip but I must say I missed the pools, warmth and sun!!!!! Your idea of compromise sounds perfect!

Hi Suzanne, Just the thought of an Alaskan Cruise sounds far too cold, I assume there would be some nice weather a certain times of the year - I just want to see sun, sand and Bahama Mamas ;)

Not much happening here today. I have to take Bryan to school and Tae Kwon Do and I have to go exercise today (I skipped yesterday and wasn't good with what I ate). I'm so glad your diet is going so well. I need to get some of that will power! You have any plans this afternoon?

I hope you manage to get motivated Veronica. I haven't got anything planned for this afternoon, and I don't think I can be bothered to do my exercise DVD today. I would love to pig out on chocolate this afternoon :)

Anything chocolate is my downfall (yesterday it was chocolate chip cookies) but you have been too good...just have one little piece!

I agree 100%. I have no desire at all to go to Alaska, or God forbid a ski vacation in Colorado ugh yuck. I love the sun and sand!!!!

My downfall is candy like licorice, swedish fish, starbursts etc. Don't get me wrong I like chocolate too, but could eat candy by the bagful!!!

My problem Suzanne, is that I love food too much, I am so looking forward to the dining plan at WDW, and trying all that wonderful food

OMG, skiing !! that would be like torture to me - I might as well stay at home if I'm going to be that cold

Mmmm, I think it's going to be a long day if I keep thinking about food - but as it's my weigh-in tomorrow, I'll try to be good

It's Mother's Day over here on Sunday, I really hope the girls have bought me a little bit of chocolate, just for a treat :thumbsup2

That sounds like my husband...he is addicted to Haribo gummi bears

Veronica when does your son have to be at school?

He doesn't go until 12pm. We have lunch at 11am. I often feel like I spend the whole morning waiting until 12! I can't wait until next year when he is full day! (Although I am sad that he is growing up so fast) Even next year school doesn''t start until 9:25 which I think is late but he doesn't get out until 3:30. What time do your kids go in?

Yes, it's this Sunday in the UK. Well I'm hoping for a nice card and the DVD 'Run Fatboy Run' and then we're all going out to lunch at my fave Chinese buffet - I can't wait - no cooking and no washing - bliss ;)

We did afternoon k-garten too and I always felt the same way. My dd in seventh grade catches the bus at 7:30 and school starts at 8:14. The two younger girls get on the bus at 8:30 and school starts at 9:15 and they get out at 3:15. Next year they will be at 3 different schools and Angelina's bus will come at 6:30 am:scared1:

I have absolutely no desire to ski either...luckily both of my kids are the same way. They love the beach and hate the cold. My son gets excited to see snow but then I bundle him up and he gets outside and wants to come back in within 5 minutes. We end up bringing in a bucket of snow into the house for him to play with:rotfl:

Hope you have a wonderful day on Sunday Mandy and get some yummy treats!

Alaska is too cold. I love candy corn too especially mixed with peanuts and chocolate chips, it tastes like a baby ruth. You are not weird:hug:

Morning Laurie

I've just got back from taking my mum shopping, I didn't buy much, just a couple of little bits for the FE exchange. I had a look around a couple of gift shops as I'm hoping to get some British souvenirs to put in the FE's

I've been doing well with my diet, I am really focussed at the moment, which is great, but I know it won't last more than another week or two

Tomorrow morning is my weigh-in, and I'll be happy if I've lost a pound or 2

Are you getting excited about your concert on Sunday ?

Have a good day at work

British souvenies are great - I am getting MORE excited about what I'll be getting then what I am buying! :lmao:

Let us know how you make out w/your weigh in tomorrow - you've been doing great, so I am sure you must be down a pound or more!! :thumbsup2

Yes, I am excited about the show... I can't wait!!! I'll be more excited after I get out of here today though.. the day will drag for me - it's the last day of work before the weekend!! :woohoo:

Now why didn't I ever think of bringing a bucket of snow indoors to play with ? Poor things, they used to drag me out into the snow and within minutes they'd be back inside with cold, raw hands (bless 'em)

Thanks, I hope I have a nice Mother's Day too :)

Any plan that doesn't include cooking is a good one ;) :rotfl:
