I am sitting here budgeting out each of my paychecks between now and vacation. I want to be sure to have enough $. It is looking really tight since I have to work in DH and DS trip too. My shutters budget isn't looking promising. We want to try to do the Atlantis Aquaventure excursion that will be quite pricey. Maybe some relatives will help out with that one as DD's b-day gift. Anyone else going to try that one?

atlantis aquadventure is that when you have access to the pools and such/ Then yes we re doing that.

Yep, it's the one with the water slides and everything. It's a new one. I would love to do the one with the dolphin swim too but it's $300 more - definitely not in the budget.

No we wont be doing it, as Nassau day is laze in the sun and do absolutely nothing day (except getting the attention of the waiter to bring me a Bahama Mama)

LOL Michele, my two are exactly the same. They'll probably come down to the beach for a couple of hours and then they will return to the air conditioning of the ship. If there's one thing my two aren't - is active

What has everyone got planned for today ? I am planning on DISing in my dressing gown all morning. Then I'll get changed, visit Paul's elderly aunt and then chill in front of the TV - ahh bliss

Keegan saw the cancer/asthma specialist at the pediatrician's earlier. He said that though he can't rule out cancer, it was good that he was having chest pain and a fever which is unlikely in cancer. He had a ppd test done to rule out TB, though the doctor is 99.9% sure it's not TB. He has to have the ppd site checked Monday and then a CT scan Tuesday morning. The doctor did hear slight wheezing today too which they did not hear yesterday and helps point toward pnuemonia. He's quite pale and tired, but that's probably because I had him come in to bed with us last night. He hasn't slept in our bed in years and years. Luckily it's a king size bed, but he's a kicker and a tosser and I don't think he, dh or I slept too well because we woke each other up a lot. I just wanted to be sure he was ok and kept my hand on his back half of the night to make sure he was breathing fine.

I'm having him take a quick bath and get back in his bed to rest up. I think I'm going to go take a nap myself. It's been a draining day.

I can't remember for sure whose birthday it is (Sydney?) but wanted to wish her a happy one.

I hope Emily is feeling better fast too.

I am glad you have gotten in to see the specialist. Try to see it as a positive. We have been in search of a diagnosis for Em for almost a year and it has taken this long to get to a major children's hospital. People at my school are freaking out, but for me it is relief and comfort. To me a bigger place means more of a chance that some Dr. has seen a child with Em's symptoms... We have been through some pretty scary "It could be's.." that it turned out not to be. What I learned is however hard it may seem try not to give in to "what it could be" until they tell you "It's ....".. It is really hard. I know..

I am thinking of you a lot and saying extra prayers!

I'm chuffed to bits with it. At first I was worried that it was going to be huge, but it isn't, it's really cute

Yesterday I bought a few more things for our FE Exchange, it's great fun looking for ideas - I guess I just love shopping

Good morning girls!!

I am up and functioning - I really wanted to sleep in today - and of course, I guess I did, getting up at 6:45 instead of 5am, is sleeping in, right??

No big plans here today - Ant was supposed to have his last basketball game and party afterwards, but, both have been cancelled because of the school closing yesterday, which screws me up! I was supposed to meet my old friend from grammar school and her children up at the Rainforest Cafe next Saturday, and of course, that is when they want to reschedule - I THOUGHT my schedule was clear for that day! We have been planning to get together for a while, but because of basketball, we haven't been able to swing it!! UGH!

Nothing planned for her tomorrow either - I like to have a lazy weekend!

WOW - you did great w/the reservations - are you a DVC member? We are doing Vero before the cruise - and now, we are possibly staying till the 29th - DH finally called AMEX about airfare, and we can't get a good flight out on the 28th, so, I am hoping to call DVC today and try to get a room for a night after the cruise - my kids would be THRILLED!! We weren't planning on going to Disney this year at all - August is hot - and we have NO passes left - so, I'll have to buy something - but, I am thinking a one day ticket to MK is good enough! Or if I am lucky enough that the Pirate and Princess Party is that night, it would be great!! But, we'll see - I have to call DVC this morning to make sure there is a room for us - THEN I have to finalize the airline w/Amex - but, we had to buy an additional 3000 'miles' (for a big $88), and that will take 72 hours to kick in - so, we are on track to book by Monday, and according to the rep on the phone, there was plenty of availability for both dates of travel - so, we should be good.. And get this one - if you book over the phone - they would've held our flights for us, BUT they charge $30 per ticket - if you do it yourself online, it is only $10 per ticket, so, all 4 tickets will cost us about $208 TOTAL~!!! What stinks is we have a layover both ways, but I don't care - it's only about 55 mins between flights - and now we are going down on the 19th instead of the 20th! So, we are going to stay in a hotel near the airport for the night, and head to Vero first thing in the morning!! I can't wait!!

I think someone said this yesterday or the day before but, when you are dealing w/the airfare - you can tell it's getting closer - WOO HOO! I am getting excited over here!!

Sorry to ramble on, but, honestly, you guys are probably the only people who care about this kinda stuff! To tell someone else, they'd be like - 'that's nice' - act like they care - ya know?!?!?!

Nope.. We aren't DVC members but I am an independent travel consultant and am a graduate of Disney's College of Knowledge so I can get pretty great rates on rooms. That is my on the side "job" and I do book mainly Disney for people at school.

Where do you think you spend your last night? I too was hoping for a pirate and princess party, but we'll see.. If not there is more than enough for us to do!

I totally get it. With our dining done now I have to wait for our return air to release which probably isn't until sometime in April.

I bought my MIL, AuntIL, and Tori's friend DCL passporters. None of them have ever been on a Disney cruise two of them have never cruised.
Hopefully the books will get them excited.

WOW - I would love to do something like that - book Disney - I have something 'in the works' w/a friend - not too many details yet - but, if it blossoms, I'll let ya know!!

If you hear of any dates for P&PP, let me know - but, if it doesn't fall during that time, I am SURE we can keep ourselves busy! We actually have some days left on old passes for waterparks, so, we could actually do that during the day, and head to the MK in the evening... or something...

OH - I didn't tell you what I GOT through DVC this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a lot of choices, I could've had Beach Club, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom OR Wilderness Lodge, and the kids decided on Wilderness - which was fine w/me! We never stayed there before, and they have the boat over to MK - so, why not!

AND... I booked a character breakfast for Saturday 8/23 - at Vero Beach! So, that'll be fun!!

Great!!! This is so cool that we are all having our 'dreams' come true w/reservations and dining - am I corny or what? LOL I am not sure if we are going to make any ADRs for our big ONE night at Wilderness.. I'll have to check w/DH and see.. maybe I'll see if we can get something for Ohana on the morning that we leave, being we are leaving later that day...

I am getting excited here... 6 months till the cruise! WOO HOO!!! Maybe I should get back on the treadmill!! Actually, our trip itself starts a few days before.... maybe I need another ticker??
