I am around. Sarah's field day got cancelled. I made her do 1/2 day and am picking her up at lunch. I took a personal day so I figured Miss Em and I would go home and veg....

Morning Laurie. No-one was more surprised than me at my 2lbs weight loss. I had to get off the scales and get back on again to check I hadn't read it wrong. I just hope it wasn't a fluke, and I can at least maintain it for next week

Yes I am hoping that Paul & I will hit the wine bar tonight. My weekend hasn't started properly till I've been there

I know it's quiet again today, everyone must have a life this week

Why was field day cancelled? The weather?? Dominic's is Wednesday, and it is supposed to be 97 degrees - I am supposed to go help - but, I think I MIGHT have to bail on that one! LOL

It has poured buckets all night and today.. We really needed the rain but this is extreme!

It's finally stopped raining here. That's good because Ian's school carnival is this evening. Jen I hope it stops raining there.

I'm not doing much, I'm quite bored today I'm looking forward to hitting the wine bar with Paul tonight - we always catch up on all the news from home/work on a Friday night

It's the boys first day off of school and they are loving every minute of it.

We had to take Keegan to the doctor's yesterday after he came home with his big toe red and sore. He ended up having an ingrown toe nail and his doctor had to give him a shot and cut it all out. Yuck. It looks better today and is no longer painful for him. At least we had a night off of baseball! Tonight he has a game, tomorrow he has a game and then all star practice. I just hope it doesn't rain because it's very overcast and I'm tired of make up games turning into double headers.

We had horrible weather 2 days ago. My brother lives in Maryland and they had a tornado touch down in his area. He lost lots of trees, some siding and shingles. Luckily no one was hurt in his neighborhood. He's had a rough week--he broke his foot while on a canoe trip with a bunch of friends when he slipped on rocks while fishing. Everyone else had been drinking all day including my SIL so he had to drive himself to the hospital.

I just rebooked our flights down in August on Southwest through a ding rate that popped up. I saved $40. I sure wish they'd have a ding rate for the 9/1 flight.

Yes, the boys have off of school until August 26th. They may pass a state bill to go back Sept 2nd. I was told before we booked the cruise the 1st day would be 9/2/08 by a school staff member, but then when the schedule came out it said 9/26. They'll miss 4 days but they never do much of anything the first week back anyways. They'll get to meet their teachers at orientation in mid August and know where their class/desks will be. They will be in the same school so I'm ok with them missing those days. If they were changing schools (to middle, etc.) we'd have switched to an earlier cruise.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Keegan's toe. I just hope he's ok to run at baseball tonight. He's been wearing flip flops all day to air it out.

It's hotter than blazes here today. I cut the grass and sweated so bad I could barely see (and I was lazy and rode the lawn tractor!) I guess it's preparing me for Orlando because I know when we were at SWW last year we had a constant sweat going. I've almost slipped a couple times and told Brennan about the trip but I've caught myself.
