It is finally a great day here in Eastern PA, it might get to the low 70's. I can't wait to take my pups for a walk

although it looks like they are voting on NAP!

I would like to participate in the FE, but the number of people is a little daunting if you want to spend more than a $1-2. I don't really want to buy total junk so if we could all be assigned groups to buy for that might work out. Not sure how to deal with the people that have already made purchases and how to include new people so that it is relatively balanced. I was planning oon trying to either buy something for the family or kids/ rest of the group, but haven't really figured it out yet, I'm more a last minute kind of gal, Summer time will be a little easier for me for shopping without the kids in school.

I love the magnets! I wish I was that creative! Did you make them with magnetic printer paper?

Just ran inside from playing with the kids on this beautiful day. Bryan and I were able to watch the Wonder sail past! Todays been a great day..free dining reservations, my FE hanger came (I'll try to post a picture tonight), and then we got to watch the Wonder sail by. Not to mention the fact that I finished all my PTA photocopy stuff and got to be outside on such a nice day!

Danielle - I've stayed at Pop twice. Once we were in the 80's and I have to agree with Jen - it was far but the pool was very big and empty. The last time we stayed in the 50's and it was very convenient.

Woohoo..... I am all set for my free dining staying at POR after the cruise.

The fil thing is long and complicated..the short version is our house is titled to them , our uncle and us and we were supposed to buy them out now that uncle nick has died. We have been paying the mortgage and taxes on this house for the last 10 years and paying to fix it up. But now the inlaws have decided they won't sell out and take their names off the title they are going to put it into a trust for JEFF and his brother gets their house(which is worth twice the price of ours by the way).So basically we are trapped here until they die now. Our plan was to buy them out and sell the house and buy a house we actually like...lol..Plus the brother gets the other house for nothing he invested nothing...it's crap and i am fuming. i told jeff i am going to see a lawyer. We are not speaking now..lol he wants to just leave it alone and wait till they die..No way am i waiting that long to move out of here. I am tired of them controlling our lives. They know once the house is ours we are moving so this way they can keep us here. I hate them......... So that is my story.

Oh Michelle I was hoping it was a silly funny petty story That is terrible . I can't believe you have been paying on this house for 10 years and NOW they want to control how it's going to work. Unbelievable

Hi Girls!!

I am off to bed in a few! It's been another LONG day!! Work, then after work Ant had a few friends here, then we ran to grab quick Wendy's (I was NOT good), then out for a few FE things, now here I am!

I had Idol on, but they are begging for money - so, I turned that off to watch the Mets - luckily they are winning today! (so far!) So, tomorrow will be a better day!

I am working again tomorrow - supposed to go out to dinner w/my friend Laura - not sure if we are going or not - I might be tempted to be bad again!

My sis is in from FL this Friday - We have our last CCD up north on Saturday morning, and my fav cousin's surprise party, and baseball on Sunday - then my sis goes home But, at least we'll have most of the day on Friday to go out and goof around! Oh - and my Dad is supposed to come up this weekend too!! So, that makes me happy as well.. then TUESDAY I have to go to COURT for the crap w/the other sister - why can't she be normal?? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Enough of my rambling.. Goodnight ladies!! Hey - we get to watch the Wonder pass by tomorrow, right??

I can't recall who it was that said they had conferences and their kids were still considered angels but I know what you mean. It cracks me up how my kids are so quiet and innocent during school and can wreck havoc at home.

I went in to read for parent/PTO story day today and Brennan smiled and didn't say a single word. He is very sweet and generally minds his manners, but he is usually so loud you can hear him anywhere. I don't even think he spoke the entire 30 minutes I was there! Maybe his teacher can come along on vacation--she said she's never been to Disney!

lol that was me Danielle- When they are really being naughty at home I threaten to get out the video camera and show it to their teacher and they completely freak out!!!!

Yes they suck..I wish they would just kick the bucket and be out of our lives for good....But the wish fairy hasn't come by lately.... I know that sounds horrible but u don't know what these people are like. here is a lovely example..We lived together for 2 years before we got married and when we finally decided to tie the knot we told them and the witch says to us why are u getting married is michele pregnant? Nice ...huh Anyway my fondest wish is for them to disappear from our lives. I told the witch mil that if something ever happens to jeff she will never see my kids again. They hate her almost as much as i do. She is so evil to them whenever they see her.

On a happier note I am so excited about getting my free dining. i wish we were staying at gf or ak though.But i will settle for por as long as i am there..woohoo.

I actually have gotten the video camera out--a couple of weeks ago when he refused to take his medicine and was crying and pitching a fit. Granted they were nickel sized and he had to take them 3 times a day, but he took it without a blink at school for his nurse and at home it was insane what we had to listen to in order for him to take it. I told him I was going to show the doctor the video. When he was younger his doctor would have to give him the antibiotic shots when he got strep because he'd make himself so upset he'd vomit the liquid meds up. He said he'd rather get the shots and surgery than take the medicine. No one's happier he's done with it than us!

He had his blood work today and the person in the lab had a heck of a time getting blood from him. At Hopkins they had no problem--said he had "pipelines" and great veins. The woman today said he had a lot of scar tissue on them and to use his other arm next time. Poor kid's all bruised up now. We should find out about his results by tomorrow afternoon.


Michele, I feel bad for you with your in laws. We all have our family dysfunctions--my DH's brother's been in a locked psychiatric ward in confinement all week while in a manic phase (He's bipolar). He's 31 and his mom finally said last week she was evicting him from her house but paying for an apartment for him to get him out of her house. He makes her life a nightmare. He stopped taking his medicine because he knew it would make her backpeddle on the eviction. This is an Ivy league graduate that belongs to Mensa and has made all of our lives living h*ll when he's around. He was just a bundle of fun at the funeral last week.

You'll like POR. We've stayed there a couple of times and I liked it better than the other moderates. We stayed in Alligator Bayou in building 15. It was really close to the food court and check in. Buidling 14 is very close too.

I think we ALL have some stories! I often joke that my extended family puts the FUN back in dysFUNction! lol

He had his blood work today and the person in the lab had a heck of a time getting blood from him. At Hopkins they had no problem--said he had "pipelines" and great veins. The woman today said he had a lot of scar tissue on them and to use his other arm next time. Poor kid's all bruised up now. We should find out about his results by tomorrow afternoon.

Em is a really hard stick too. When we were in Boston at children's a couple of weeks ago, se had to have 10 viles of blood taken for tests. I was amazed they got it on the 1st stick but after the 3rd syringe it stopped flowing. It took 3 more sticks before they could get a new vein and the rest of the blood.. Em has had to get it taken out of her head a few times and her femoral artery once (when she had her spinal tap). No one believes me when I tell them she is hard stick but after the fact they are like "you weren't kidding!"

The exchange is for fun, and whether you decided to buy a family gift or individual ones is really up to you. Remember, we only have to buy fun trinkets and I'm pleased that you're going to join in if the list was smaller

Yay, it's Friday ! It's nearly the weekend

I've got a quiet day today. Becky is off school as she's got a Teacher Training day, and Kerry is at college, but isn't coming home at lunch time as she's going to Pizza Hut with her friends

I've got my main grocery shopping to do this morning, and I'll do a bit of housework

I've had my weigh-in and I have put on 1lb which isn't so bad cos after my weekend away of eating and drinking in Manchester I had originally put on 3lb when I weighed myself of Tuesday
