Yes, it's embellishments that you would use to make cards. We could limit it to Bazzill paper, so that we know we can find easy matches. Or some other. We could also limit the size to no items larger than 4x5.25 inches so that you can make a half 8.5x11 card that fits correctly into a standard envelope.

Based on what I'm hearing in my interest thread for the Outside the Parks swap, it's too busy right now to get involved in it, but that many would like to do it in the fall. So, BAMB, would you please change the sign-up and end dates for this swap.

Sign-ups for the Outside the Parks swap is currently May 1 and I'd like to change it to October 2.

The end date is currently July 1 and I'd like to change it to December 4.

Just moving this up for BAMB to see. Thanks!!!

morgansmom2000, those are so cute, & such a great idea. Though, I would find it hard to put them in cards. But I would certainly use them as embellies for my pages. So they would NEVER go to waist. I love it!

Does anyone have any information on the recipe swap? It doesn't have a definite date, just says end of May. And then there's another one in August. Anyone know anything?

Not much- VickiV and Pretty in Tink have run the last few but they haven't been on in a few months. I know the one in May is supposed to be Disney recipes and I think have a group for crockpot recipes. The recipes are 5.5 by 8.5 - half of an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper- we have been doing them a couple of years. We all got these folders from staples that are 9by6 with sheet procors that are 8.5 by5.5 to use to put them in.

If we don't her from them soon we may need someone to hostess it instead. I can do it starting in July or August but not in late May with the other swaps I have due in Agust.

pretty in tink and I are still planning on doing the recipe swaps. We can do either the Disney Recipe Swap in May, or we can do a seasonal swap, or maybe a combo. We will probably start it the last week in May. We were just talking about it over the week end.

Hi, I think this is where I would ask this so I'll try.
I am planning on hosting the Disney Lyric swap in August. I was wondering if in addition to this, and you all tell me if this is too much, I depend on all of our pros to tell/guise me, if there would be any interest in address cards.
Sort of like the rolodex cards from last year only just the addy cards.

We know that I am notorious for losing addys and I cant tell you how many times I refer back to the addy cards I do have and I get fustrated when I dont have one that I do need.

Just wondering if there would be any interest in that.

I just recently found the scrapping section of the DIS & am loving it so far .... although all I've really done is lurk I think I posted a cpl pics on one thread, that's it. In following along with a cpl of the challenges, I heard about the swaps!!! (I had NO IDEA such a thing existed!)

Sooooo .... I've lurked around the swap board for a few days & absolutely LOVE the work y'all have done & the general idea behind it!!! It doesn't really look like there are any "open" swaps to join at this very moment, so I'll keep following along until one shows up ...

In the meantime, what's a recipe swap? Like, literally a recipe on some sort of embellished index card, etc.? I think the idea of a cool recipe book (Disney or otherwise) is really nice, but I'd love to know more .....

Also, what is a "Disney Lyric" swap??? What do you do with that???

Sorry to be a pain, but this is really new & intriguing to me!!! I'd happily create stuff to share with other people .... especially if it would help me get my own books done!!! (yeah, I'm almost finished with our 2005 trip!) I *think* I do nice work ..... I've never really shared it with anyone, so I don't have a lot of basis for comparisson .... I just made a whole Princess album for my friend's daughter. I can post pics of that so y'all can see my work and determine if I'm worthy to join the "club" .......

So far, everyone here seems to be SOOO NICE & I'm really liking finding new "scrappy friends" that also have a slight Disney obsession like me .....

Hi! I'm new too, and I jumped in feet first, as I'm sure people will attest to.

I can't tell you what the two swaps you asked about are, I'll let someone else take that, but I can tell you that everyone of all levels is welcome - as long as you follow instructions, you're good! Albeit some people are going to make things that you don't think you can ever match level-wise, once you put them all into a book, you'll realize that yours fits in just fine.

First ZTH, I never said welcome to you because altho I have been here almost a year I honestly though you had just come "back" you were so natural for lack of a better word!

I will be hosting the Lyric swap in August with Rebecca overseeing me as it will be my first time hosting!
This is what I think its going to be like:
5 x 7 size, embellished once or twice. You will pick an area from the "songbook" and scrap the lyrics., lets say "Colors of the Wind". I will probably have groups of 4 so you would make 4 of these and then send them to me and I will swap them out for you. I may see if I can put them into books.
I hope that makes sense and I'm still working this out. I will be contacting my swap guru's soon for how to run this.

The recipe swap has been done on half an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper - 8.5 by 5.5 has been the past size- they fit in an album available from Staples in page protectors. Disney part of it is the use of Disney recipes. We have groups for other recipes at times-We started these a few years ago.

The last time we did lyrics it was Christmas songs and we did them in the same size as the recipes- it allowed them to be large enough to make an album to be used for caroling. There hasn't been discussion if these are for use on pages (5 by7) would work better or as an album (the larger size would work better).

The recipes have done in groups of 6 or 8 in the past- it allows a larger number of recipes with less groups.

Both of these swaps sound cool to me ..... I might have to try them out! Can I have "It's a Small World" for the lyrics???

I think the thing I like the most about the swaps is being able to make use of other people's talent & creativity. I mean, we all tend to have a certain "style" ............ so, sometimes I feel like I'm kinda stuck in a rut when making my layouts. It would be really cool to be able to exchange with other people to add variety! I especially like the idea of elements, titles, etc. And the ABC books sound sooooo cool!!!

I can't wait to try a swap! Somebody host one soon so I can join!!!

And we seem to have alot of newbies could we do a small newbie swap.either WDW or characters just to get everyone up to day and in the flow.

And a side not I LOVED the Disney Recipe Swap it was one of my FAVS!!!
