2008/2009 Swap Calendar updated to pg 23

I hope she is doing well. If a Surprise Swap is desired right now, I will gladly volunteer to host it. My summer has now taken a different direction (first thought I would have some free time, then was told that I have to take two courses, and now back to having free time - and lots of it!) And I love the surprise swaps. I would change it ever so slightly, but liked the way the last one was hosted.

Any thoughts? As Surina asked, are the swap goddess okay with me hosting it? If now is not a good time, I am cool with that. But I love doing the Surprise Swap and would gladly host for all - especially the newbies.

Well I just noticed a lot of people are wondering about the surprise swap. BAMB asked me about it earlier. In the beginning I had the sign up in April then decided to change it to August, because there was much more going on in april and less in August. The due date would be in November. If you all do want to do one in April please feel free too. Currently I know I do not have the "mojo" to host it. It would only be my second one to host and now I just do not have the motivation to do it. I have 2 memorial services I am working on for April and July and then just getting use to life as it is now.

If you all would like to wait till August I figure I will be ready to roll with hosting the swap. Please, with no hurt feelings from me, if you want to do it in April someone can host if they please. I love the surprise swaps and it would be a fun one to host.

Personally, I would love to go ahead and do sign ups now. I had blocked out time for it. But, that is your call. If there was some way that it could possibly do groups of 4 that would be great. But I don't know if that is doable or not. If we have the large 11 groups for the countries....I have my Norway paper that I misplaced last year

I have learned my lesson, when I buy something for a swap now, I immediately take it out of hte shpping back and place it into the Iris case for that swap and don't leave it in the shopping bag.

I've sent a pm to MickeyTeacher to make sure she's not planning to do pages with her swap. I also wanted to check that if she's not doing pages that she won't mind if I hostess a page swap at the same time as her elements one.

In the meantime, I've looked at possible groups also. I have most of what you listed Susie. For the countries, I like 3 groups of 4. My thought to get the 11 countries to 12, was to add the Outpost since it's right in the middlle of the World Showcase and has photo ops as well.

So, as of right now, I'm waiting to hear from Mickeyteacher to see what she wants to do since Epcot is her swap. I'm leaving for WDW in the morning and will be back Wednesday night so I won't be around for a bit.

Just wanted to bump this up to see what the feelings are on having a Surprise Swap in April (with a due date in June). If it's okay with the swap goddesses, I have worked out some specific group themes for this swap, and I can post that in an interest thread to see if people would join now. I don't think it would compete or eliminate NemoMom's Surprise Swap in August because the groups would be more specific themes than those swaps in the recent past. Thanks!

Personally, I don't think a surprise swap now would infringe at all with one in August.

I don't have a problem with a surprise swap now as long as it doesn't infringe on the August one.

Mickeyteacher has first dibs on the complete page Epcot stuff, but if she's just doing elements then we can look into another host for CP.

I might float back and forth a bit but my brother is coming home from Japan, Lisa and I might be going to Dallas, I'm in charge of summer food drop for our teacher with breast cancer (she just turned 30 and has 2 babies at home), I have 2 8th grade meetings, we have family reunion for the original family that built mom's house (circa 1730), our summer family reunion, etc etc etc the list is getting bigger by the day!

I will make it out to Ohio at some point though over summer!!

You can mark the PP and Flock swaps as complete. One person hasn't responded, but she was just at WDW, so I'm guessing hasn't caught up with Swap housekeeping yet.

Also, I think I am going to go ahead and decide to pull the Swapper's Choice swap this summer. I really want to do the Cruise and Resort swaps, and I won't have time to do those and host my own swap. I haven't gone through my stuff yet, like I planned, so I don't know what I would even ask for my own group. It sounds and looks like there will be plenty of swaps going on this summer, so I hope no one will be disappointed. I would do it in the fall, but that will interfere with the house hunting, so I think I am going to hold off until next year.

I am still hanging in there. It seems to be harder these past two weeks than it was the first two weeks. It just seems nothing is going together right in my life in general. One things happens, then another, and then another. That is just living life, but maybe it is tougher with what has happened. It just one of those "nothing is going right" times in life.

I have been thinking about some of the things for July. I will go through some pictures and let you know soon what I come up with.

I've already had to split my super sports over 2 packages due to the 2kg (5 lb) airmail limit. I need to be a good girl
