Merry Christmas Kelly:goodvibes Did Zoe find something wonderful under the tree this morning?

Well, we came home from WDW in in October to the news that Dave's plant was closing by March with no other job for him:sad2: He applied at every manufucturer within an hour's drive of home (not many . . .) but had no luck. He also spoke with everyone he knew in the greater company. One person in Germany told him to try a new division there. So Dave sent off of resume thinking it was a long shot. Then, the day before Halloween he got a call and things moved pretty fast from there (fast as these things go). So, he is working for the same parent company (which is based in Germany) but for an entirely different division. We are all so excited:banana:

Congrats Hadley!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Oh Debbie I always love your photos. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of the Osborne lights this year:goodvibes

Kelly,

Didn't you and say that you and Zoe might be in the filming for the Christmas parade. I thought you said you were up front during the live performance. I looked for you but didn't see you.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

We had a nice, mellow time. It was weird packing away the ornaments today knowing we will not have them with us in Germany for the next few years. A deifnate sense of sadness there.:sad1: We are making sure to fit our stockings and tree topper (a small felt Santa made by my great grandmother when my father was a boy) into our 8 suitcases which are crossing with us next month:goodvibes

Lynn, I hope you and Scott had a nice Christmas as well (and everyone here for that matter).

Yes, we were right up front for Jose Feliciano and in the back for the Jonas Brothers. They went over our heads several times, but they never came into the middle of the stage. All the people directly on camera were on the sides of the stage. We didn't know that until we saw it on TV, but Zoe was excited to see our hats and there were a couple of shots from the back and side where we could see ourselves singing. There were 3 of the tallest people (well over 6 feet) standing right in front of us, it never occured to them to let other people stand in front of them. They were leaning on the stage and still could have easily seen over our heads (with our hats on.) They were perfectly aware that there were 3 parents trying to hold kids up the entire hour in 94 degree temps. But that's life over 6 feet tall.... oblivious to everything below their necks. :confused3

Anyone looking for a good family film... Nim's Island was really good. Enjoy.

Good Morning Cruisers!

Hadley, you will just have to get a small tree, and more ornaments in Germany! And yes, we had a great Christmas also!

It looks like it might be a nice day here, there is a high wind warning for noon today until 8am tomorrow, but the high is supposed to be 50 degrees, and it is not too windy now. Will try to get out for walk early before wind really picks up again.

Have a great day everyone!

Sorry about the icky tall ones at the parade. Not all tall people are so obnoxious (you know I love one tall guy very much:love: ). Even Marika is slightly taller than I am now. So unfair!

Oh, YES Nim's Island is a greta film. One of our favs.

Hadley, are you selling your house right now as well as packing?

We are renting it (we would lose a fortune selling now, even here in NH where the market is better than most of the USA). We had found renters but two of the four roomates backed out. We think the other two have found two more now--signing leases tonight and getting deposites nad hten I will breath much easier. We will still loose a little bit each month, but not too much and we will build equity and we are renting to people we know htrough the theatre who we feel will not trach the place. We are renting it furnished and leaving personal belongings stored into one half of the basement.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Here's a few pic's from our annual trip to Pasadena to see the parade floats just before the judging.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone:grouphug:

Happy New Year everyone.

While watching the Rose Parade, if you noticed the gray elephant on the Rainbird float - DD Staci helped glue the gray Ming Moss on it. So as far as she was concerned - that was her elephant! :lmao:

Kelly, Thanks for the photos. Is getting in to see the floats difficult? That would be something I'd be interested in doing next year.
