I've had an idea How about a "heritage" recipe swap, where you do a recipe for something that's traditional in your family, or your area (where you live or where you originally came from) or your nationality (current or ancestor)? I bet we'd get some really interesting recipes - you could either do it as a Christmas one or a general one.

after all, we all like a recipe swap

As for the Heritage Swap, I would post asking if there is an interest on the general board. People don't always look here. I, personally, don't care for my heritage food......Ireland, now do you understand why? Now, if I was French or Italian, I would be interested.

I'm right there with you. When I was over visiting family, I had mutton and cabbage for a WEEK!! OMG!!! paaa-tooooie...

Anyway, I used an old family recipe in one of the CJ's. I actually have a few that I could use in a holiday or family favorites book, but they aren't heritage ones....did I say paaa-tooie yet?

Which general board? I'm looking for more swaps (haven't done a recipe but I'm greek so I may be able to find something fun.....) but don't know where else to look besides this fabulous calendar board.

I'm happy to host but I don't want the postage to put people off.
