Alright, I just read through this thread and another thread with FAQ's. I think I could definitely do some swaps here, but I need to wait until after the holidays when I screw my head back on straight. I'll look for sign up info when I get back from Myrtle Beach (should be around 1/2).

I think I'd like to do the first one (AK/MK element), but might not be home in time to sign up, so I need to sign up before I leave this Thursday!

Don't panic..
No sign up threads are up yet.. they will open on those dates... if you are gonna be out of town and really want in one... you might PM the host and get your name on the list... I know I will post a sign up thread reminder the day before with a time sign ups will open!!! I believe KatDisney opens hers later in the day because she is on Mountain time I believe..so closer to noon our time... I'm on EST so I usually open mine around 9-10am...

here's the definition of a swap
- What is a "swap"?
A - A scrap swap is when a group of people exchange scrapping elements. Typically, you make a set # of elements, one set for each person in your group. You send them all to the hostess, who swaps them out, and sends back to you. Example: there are 5 people in your group. You make 5 pieces of the same thing. You send them in and will get back 5 different pieces, 1 from each person in your group. It's a great way to build your stash of different elements without having to make individual ones of every piece! A swap can involve handmade items, store-bought items, or just about anything! Scrappers of ANY level are welcome on the DisBoards swaps, unless otherwise noted. We welcome newbies and would love to help you out with your first swaps. Please don't be afraid to ask questions!

Hey Buffy I noticed we don't have a host for the MK swaps in May- I'll do that. I will have to look at my school calander wehen I return to work on Wednesday to make sure the singup day is good- it may have to move 1 or 2 days do to our last days in school.

As I looked through my pictures and our swaps for the year I notice that we haven't done a swap for other areas around Disney- Disneyquest, Downtown Disney, the water parks- If people are interested I would like to host and element swap for these areas with sign-ups in July and about a 6 week turn around time. I have to check on the dates I am going to be in Atlanta that month before I have a specific date.

I'd be interested in that! We always have DQ and DD pictures and we're visiting a water park for the first time next trip.

Part of me said, "Oh, we're visiting in April and the swap won't be till the summer." Who am I kidding? Obviously I won't be finished scrapping that trip. The question is will I even have begun before the swap opens?

It could be Disney-themed (using Disney characters, not specific to holidays AT Disney) or it could just be holiday-themed. I was thinking sign-ups at the last of September, first of October with a right-before-Thanksgiving or right after due date? That way, we'd get them in and get them out before the major Christmas rush hits!

Sept 28 to Nov 9th??? How does that sound. And personally I would like a non Disney themed holiday. Gasp the horror I know! LOL
