When should the rates for Fall of 2007 come out? DH and I are planning on hitting the Food and Wine Festival next year.

Also, any word on if the DDP will still be around?

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, I believe that Disney released all the rates for 2006 in July or August of 2005—they released the whole year at once. I’m assuming then that the 2007 rates would come out in summer of this year.

since they made minor changes to this years DDP, I doubt it wouldnt last through next summer. Its probably here to stay. Keeping guests onsite who may possibly have been torn about the issue, and then, once staying onsite, I bet a majority of ppl dont leave until they go home. Spending ALL of their food $$$ on property. Maybe I am wrong about that

Does anyone know if the AAA rates are released at the same time?
I'm planning for next summer and I've never booked this far in advance but we want to stay at WL and every time I've tried in the past I've missed out on the AAA rate for a standard room...

to know when the AAA rates are released. My parents are coming with us this year and we will need 2 rooms and don't want to miss the AAA discount. Anyone know? TIA

I'm booking for summer 2007 and would love to score on the AAA rates. If anyone knows when they would be released, that would be great.

I was able to get the AAA rate about a week after Disney released its packages for 2006. When I first went to my local AAA office, I was told that the 2006 packages were not available. I had already booked a package through Disney, so I assumed that AAA would take a while to update its package pricing.

After reading about others' AAA TA experiences here on the DIS, I decided to call my regional AAA office. In about ten minutes, I had the AAA package price, saving me about $200.

My guess is that once Disney releases package pricing, AAA gets it pretty quickly. You just have to find a AAA TA who is willing to do the work to get the package info.

Can you get AAA packages with the hotel, tickets and DDP? We didn't use AAA last year, cause we were on the free dining and had to book through them. Thanks!

I was able to get a discount on the entire package. Six nights at All Star Movies (2 rooms), length of stay passes with PH and water parks, and the dining plan.

We saved just over $200 from what Disney charged for the same package.

I don't have AAA. Is it really worth getting just for a Disney discount? How much does it cost to join AAA? I'm wondering about the rates for fall 2007 also. So I'm subscribing. I'm hoping the FREE DDP is around next fall. I would LOVE to take advantage of that. Let's keep fingers crossed.

I have gotten offers in the mail to join AAA but never have. I believe it was around $75 to join including my spouse. I may be off though :)

AAA rates have to be booked thru AAA, correct? So if you want the rates, you have to be a AAA member at the time of booking? Thanks

I am not being nosey  Ok..I am. Can you please tell me the apprx. cost of your package?? That is the exact thing I want to book.. :grouphug:

I don't think you need to book thru AAA to use the AAA discount.

I have booked a room only ressie with Melissa @ Magical Journeys for January 07. As soon as the AAA room rates become available she will apply. We are not interested in the DDP which may make a difference, but I do know even tho I am using Magical Journeys I am booked directly with Disney and as soon as the package rates become available my room only ressie will be changed to a package then the discounts as they become available.

We are eagerly awaiting the 07 rates, since our trip begins 1/1/07 we will be at or near our 180 days when the rates come out.

Good Luck with nursing school. I have been a nurse for eight years and I know how tough it is. I can't imagine having children and trying to do. You go girl!

I booked through AAA. To get the AAA discount, I had to have a membership. The membership cost me $45(that's with $10 off coupon). I booked an entire package (8 day/9 nights POP with MYW park hopper and waterpark options plus DDP with 3 round trip airline tickets and the cost was $3250). I priced it through Disney, and it would have cost me around $3600. For me is was worth getting the AAA membership.
