2007 Rack Rates and Season Dates Question

When should I expect to see the 2007 Room Rack Rates and the 2007 Season dates? I called WDW today and checked on dates for January and February of ’07 and was quoted $155 a night for a Moderate Resort during the Value Season. In 2006 that same resort for that same season was $139. I tried looking up the same night on the web reservation site but allthough it will allow 2007 on the first page it comes back saying that the first night of the reservation must start prior to 12/29/06.
:confused3

I feel your pain. I've been waiting for '07 rates for some time now. I called WDW a few days ago and was told to call back during the summer. Guess we'll just have to wait a while longer.

Did they confirm that this would be your price or that it would change when the official rates come out?

I'm in the same boat for 1/1 - 1/9/07

I did make reservations using the $155 rate so that I could secure the dates. I plan on modifying them when the new rates come out. I don’t know if they will automatically be revised by Disney or if it will be up too me to follow-up and ask for the new rate. The CM could not understand why the regular season rate or water view rate was substituted for the Value Season rate, she checked with her supervisor and the thought it was because of a pending room rate increase and that Disney did not want to “freeze” in the ’06 rate for an ’07 stay. If that is the case they should publish the rates so that reservations can be made a year in advance … not so now if you plan on going in January/February 07.

Also wishing they had the 2007 rates out. I emailed AAA for a quote and they said Disney should have the rates out in March or April.

Seems as though the rack rates increase somewhere in the area of 8 - 10% year.

Someone posted earlier than January 2007 is no longer designated as Value Season(?). Only thing I can think of going on is left-over New Years eve crowd, marathon & MLK...am I missing something?

I have not seen this, can anyone contribute to this????

I am going with Jan 1-9 for a number of reasons; no more NYE for awhile, kids will only miss 2 days of school and the weather is pleasant. The fact that it is value season is a plus. Our last 2 trips have been at peak holiday so any reduction would be welcome.

I've called the Disney number (in my guidebook) twice about 2007 rates, and both times I was told to call back late July - early August. Frustrating!

 :badpc: :furious: GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! I'm waiting for January rates too to plan for a first timer!

I would expect the rack rates (for room only reservations) to be released around June or July, and packages to follow within a month or 2.
You can book a room reservation for 2007, based on peak season for 2006, and the rates will be adjusted when the actual rates are released by WDW (CRO)

Just an FYI in case you didn't know this as well...Disney's system is limited to booking up to 500 days in advance of your trip and that INCLUDES your check out date, so you cannot book all of 2007 as of yet.

Hope this helps.
