Where did you grow up? I lived in SoCal for about 26 years, and my husband was born and raised there.
I miss it so much and I've only been away from it for 2 years. What about you? Ever miss it?
I grew up in Redondo Beach and then Torrance for awhile. I so very much miss the beach!! Though, a funny story...when my boys were 5 & 7, we combined a family trip to Disney with a family graduation. I was so excited because I was taking my kiddos to the ocean, a REAL beach for the first time. I took time looking at different beaches and deciced on Corona Del Mar, which was just beautiful! We went down there one afternoon and my boys wouldn't go beyond their ankles! GRRRRRR! They said the water was too rough, it smelled weird (the salt) and they were scared of it!
I even rented a boogie board, and they weren't having anything to do with it! I was so bummed! And they were good swimmers, too. Oh well.I miss the beach and the beach community. I like the beach during the day, but also at night, when it's quiet and you just sit and listen to the waves.
and I have 3 sons from HIS first marriage, they are 30, 27, and 23 and WE have 1 son together who is 12. There are 3 grandaughters, 1 grandson, and 2 more grandbabies on the way
To the grandkids I'm known as Mimi, because at I'm not going to be called Granny at age 37
It is never dull or boring around our house
WTH were we thinking?

. We also have a rescue dog that rounds out the crazy bunch. Oh yeah - I almost forgot . . . I have a husband, too. We are at that stage where we kind of forget about each other as actual spouses because the house is so crazy! That's what happens with a 2 year old, a 6 year old, a crazy dog, an "interesting" job, after school activities . . . you know the drill. We are trying to get better at going on "dates", but we have a long way to go. We function well, so we roll with it!
