2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Well, I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel here at work. I just need to tie up a bunch of loose ends which will take me a couple of days and then I am ready to vacation. Just about right now, 3 days from now, my flight will be taking off from Salt Lake and headed towards Florida.

I can't wait to be on vacation!

P.S. I even went on line and put a vacation hold on my mail and newspaper, cuz DD and DH don't ever empty the mailbox or pick up the paper, so might as well have them stopped! Make sure you do this if you haven't already!

:cool1:

I just wanted to drop everyone a line to say thanks for the kind and generous outpouring from the DisBoards community and the DVCer's especially. This was the first cruise I had booked without Cruise insurance, but of course, it was Disney. Without any issue, they stepped and refunded both of of our cabins without question.

We were blessed by an angel for 18 years. We will miss him.

Have fun on the cruise and enjoy yourself's. I am very sorry we will miss it maybe next year.

Alan and Susan,

We are sorry for the loss of you son and we will keep all of you in our daily prayers.

As we get closer to cruise-time, can someone put up a "list" of what documents we will need to board? Include number and type of ID's, as well as formal paperwork required by Disney and the Bahamian Government?

This will help finalize the countdown. Thanks.....:thanks: :thanks:

you will need the docs filled out that was sent by Disney.
You will need your Passport or Birth Certificates or picture ID
If you don't check in online, you should fill out all the docs that were sent to you.
If you checked in online, print out the contract and sign it, as they will request it at check in.
The Bahamas form was in with your docs that Disney sent you and you should fill that out.

Everything that Disney sent in the package is self-explanatory

When I was in the terminal about 2 or so weeks ago, the CC line had hardly no one in it. But that changes w/every cruise and each cruise has new cruisers and CC members.

I have a feeling that the CC line will be anything but short for this cruise ;)

There have been only a few posters on this thread, as opposed to how many are going to be onboard.

I am glad there will be new cruisers but also just as happy that return cruisers will be onboard.

In all actuality, we can go in either line, whether it be new cruisers or CC returns, 'cause if one line is empty, all the CM's just keep checking in.

Jemiaule: r u going to be at the meet on Saturday????? Looking forward to meeting everyone.

As Linda stated before:

Don't forget to stop your daily paper

and your mail delivery

if you are dirving and have more than one car, lock the car that you are leaving at home

don't forget ALL your suitcases and the ones hanging on the doors - ha ha

put that pet in the vet or w/his/her keeper.
(I don't want to do this - boo hoo)

that is, unless someone is taking care of everything for you.

I don't want to be repetative but it helps at the last minute.

One more suggestion to take:

You might need an extension cord for your Stateroom.

The only receptacles will be one behind the TV and on the dresser.

That is, unless you have a suite and they have a few more.

I keep thinking of the out of ordinary things

We are going to try. We are staying at Beach Club but are going into Epcot for F&W that day. I figured, if I don't loose track of time, of heading over for the meet.

FE question.....do we need to put any kind of tag or "from" on the items or is it all supposed to be a surprise?

I got my goodies today and want to get them all put together.

Thanks again for Pauline for getting me in on the fun!

cool - please try and make it.

I have promised to meet up with some people also and hopefully I will be able to. Gonna try my best.

We shouldn't be too long at the meet. Possibly 1/2 hour or so, I would think

I would think so.

What I did was print out Avery labels with:

something like:

please enjoy or compliments of:
your DIS name and given name

and maybe put 2007 DVC Member Cruise

does that sound OK??

This is not a surprise gift, we want everyone to know who got what and from whom.

Don't you think so??

Another reminder:

I am bringing quite a few of the yellow cable extenders so that we can put them on our FE to hold them down so they won't float away. They are long enough to fit around the pewter fish next to your door.

Put a pair of scissors in your luggage to cut it loose at the end of the cruise.

Good morning Member Cruisers!

Just one more day of work and we are on vacation. We are supposed to be leaving early tomorrow but the exact time is going to depend on the weather. Nasty storms are forecast to be headed this way and hitting all day Thursday. Oh goodie!

good morning all:

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - almost upon us now.

Everyone have a great day.

Sort of rainy and gloomy here in Ft. Lauderdale. But otherwise, it is a beautiful day.

Sort of a Winnie the Pooh Blustry Windy day......... ha ha Went out to get the paper and had my nightgown on and it blew all over the place.

Going to get dressed and go to Einstein's Bagel Shop and get a bucket along with some spreads and orange juice and take to the hospital office for everyone. Should be a nice morning.
