2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

please have a safe trip down.

Safe travels for everyone going out tonight and tomorrow (and the rest of the week).

My family heads out Friday afternoon for a LOOOOONG 20 hour drive - 1st time we are taking it in one shot instead of 2.

I can't get out of school early Friday so hubby and I are splitting the drive to get to the hotel by port for Saturday for resting :)

I have one son packed and I have to pack myself and my other son. So much to do . . . .

I am so ready for the sail away drink.............

OK - tonight is your night - I am sitting in the bed doing my puzzle and eating an orange. Waiting for Kid Nation to come on

Joannel: I am right ther w/'ya, my friend - as I am sure others are also

Work is finally done. Clients all notified. Out of office messages set. Car is packed and we are ready to go tomorrow morning. Going to get up early and check the status of the storms headed this way and will hopefully be on the road early tomorrow.

Safe travels to everyone!

See those of you who can make it Saturday at the Beach Club and everyone on board on Sunday. It is time to party!

Just finished printing the mini-navigators! :cool1:

Now I'm headed home to fold and staple while watching tv tonight! :happytv:

Stuff in envelopes, put in suitcase (after I get the suitcase out) and they are all ready to go! :woohoo:

Okay, I can check something off my list now!

Safe travels Mark and Mary and everyone else headed out. Still two more work days for me.

See you Saturday. :hippie:

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Does anyone remember this from staying onsite. There used to be a channel called the tip of the day. I had made these up for past cruises and almost forgot to do this tip myself until just now. So I thought I would share it with everyone as a last minute tip.

Your printer and a set of address labels can save you lots of time on the cruise itself.

Many people before they go on vacation will type up address labels to apply to their postcards. That way you and your family have the addresses at hand and you just peel and stick onto the postcard, write your private message and then send.

Here's the tip - and credit goes to Karen (ohiominnie) since she shared it with us on the 10 day and it worked great. At the end of the cruise you will get color coded luggage tags to put on your luggage. Information needed is:
* Number of pieces of luggage (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
* Stateroom number
* Name
* Address (including city, state and zip code)
Make those up in advance on your address labels. Then when you have to pack it will make it a little quicker. Plus by being printed it is easier for the porters who unload the ship to help keep your pieces together. Tag measures 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall to help you figure out which size label to use.

An extra tip for scrapbookers. The front of these tags feature different characters. Tags of all colors are available at a table by guest services. So stop on by and you can pick up some cute tags for your scrapbook.

done that already - have been doing it for years - even for airline travel also.

In addition to tags on my luggage I have my name and/or telephone number or Stateroom number printed on a white piece of paper in big black bold majic marker and slip it inside one of those FedEx clear mailers and put it on either one or both sides of the suitcases.

When I went to Hawaii, it was perfect. You can get them at the PO or at FedEx. As you might remember, the backs are stickey and stick on the suitcases but do not harm them and I just change them each trip.

OK - off to bed - after tonight there are two more sleeps before leaving

Safe travels to all that are leaving tomorrow and especially to those that are driving. Drive safely and we'll be thinking of you. Don't get too tired and stop and get something to eat for energy popcorn:: :coffee:

Okay it's 10:24 PM and we are all spent from getting everything packed and together for our flight on fri at 6:30 AM.Im still cleaning clothes and my wife is started to fall a sleep.The kids are no help at all but then they are never any help.if they don't have anything to wear then it's not my problem.I think the hardest part other then the few days of work before is getting everything packed.I know on my job they have been making it hard with long hours and when I get back they will have 10 days of work for me to do in just a few days.my boss don't believe in vacations.Well enough of the rambling i think it's time to get some shut eye.

Yay Linda - you rock!

Buh-bye everyone! We are all packed and ready to head out to the airport at 4:30am :scared1: tomorrow morning to catch our 6:40am flight. Flying from the west coast is always a day long excursion so we won't be getting in to Orlando until 5:30pm eastern.

Is anyone going to MNSSHP on the 25th? If so please post. We do not fly home until late afternoon on the 26th and are thinking of going.

We are going to MNSSHP on the 25th. We go from cruise, to Wonderland tea at GF for the kids (while some of us hopefully unpack if we can get our room at Boardwalk Villas), to MNSSHP! Gonna be a long day!

Ooooh, but a good day - that sounds like fun!

Today is my long day. I have to finish up some straggling work bits and probably won't be done until midnight. Like a fool I have decided if I got to bed then there id no way I will be able to get up at 3:30am to shower and get ready for the plane.

So I decided to pull an all-nighter. Told ya.."like a fool" :rotfl:

Good morning Member Cruisers!
