We sail in 5 days!

DIS Meet at Beach Club 4 days from today!

YIPEE -------------- are we excited yet??

safe travels to everyone that is leaving first.

DH was required to stay 5 hours late for an inspection last night, so he wasn't home last evening to help me finish packing. So I'm on my own to finish this morning. However, this means he gets off 5 hours early today, so God and packing willing, we leave after lunch :cool1: See you all at the meets.

Good morning All
As we speak Nancy is getting the cloth we will be wearing on the ship ready for the luggage.
Just checked Accu Weather for the next 10 days and it's going to be a hot one in th World. Every day in the 90's.
I will have my shorts on when we leave Portland Fri morning.
Every body have a Magical Day

I've started an "almost live" thread on the cruise trip reports board. Mark and I have always enjoyed doing live reports from the cruise and plan to do it again this year.

Feel free to join in this thread or start your own trip report if you'd like. I know in past years we've had fun on the ship when two or more people are posting at the same time from different places on the ship. :lmao:

I just wanted to drop everyone a line to say thanks for the kind and generous outpouring from the DisBoards community and the DVCer's especially. This was the first cruise I had booked without Cruise insurance, but of course, it was Disney. Without any issue, they stepped and refunded both of of our cabins without question.

We were blessed by an angel for 18 years. We will miss him.

Have fun on the cruise and enjoy yourself's. I am very sorry we will miss it maybe next year.

You will be missed and Sam is in our prayers

Alan & Susan, You and your family will be missed and are in our prayers. You had a very special son.

My parents (68 yo and 64 yo) will be on the cruise with all of you (you are all so lucky). My father did receive in the mail paperwork last week to fill out. We were getting a little confuse with the on-line check-in - my dad kept on doing it wrong (when my dad gets confused he starts yelling - real loud - and it was pointless to continue. And mom and I are trying to keep the peace). Anyway, I just wanted to check if it is okay that they do the check-in at the port. I'm sure it is but how much longer do you think it would take them. I am sure that my mom is going to be dying to get on the ship. Also my father mentioned there will probably be a line for castaway club members. Is this so? They will both be staying before and after the trip at Disney's Old Key West.

Thank you for all your help. BTW, go on-line now and check for the nearest UPS Store to Disney. That is what my parents did. But also we have relatives that will be doing the 3 day cruise when you all finish and they may be able to bring back any large items.

since we can't get an UL package, I don't use the computer anymore onboard.
the package they have per minutes is horrid. let someone pay them their $$'s - not me.

live threads don't impress me anymore - I can let my friends know what I did when I get home.

I am too cheap to pay for internet, plus not very computer literate.

I do love reading them when I am stuck at home though.. So keep it up.....We can live through you multi cruisers.

maybe I can be categorized that way also. "cheap" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

maybe that is why I can take a few more cruises :lmao: :lmao:

don't get me wrong, I love reading cruise reports, but mostly they are posted after someone gets home.

we are going to be so busy trying to get everything in, I don't want to be sitting in the Internet Cafe during this trip.

anyways - I'll read the thread when I get home.

Linda - have you got that mini navigator done yet??? what's taking 'ya so long finishing it????????? :happytv:  :rolleyes1

:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

WORK......got home at 8:45 last night. Back at it this morning. The things I have to do to get a vacation around here!:confused3

I'll take the blame for being a "small part" for the UL access being taken away. Guess DCL decided after the inaugural Panama Canal Cruise in 2005, that the last thing they wanted was adults typing on the disboards while they were on the ship. Guess taking away the UL package has taken care of some of that. You just don't see the live threads anymore like you used to.

And, as slow as the internet access is, I have a hard time paying DCL money to sit there and watch the timer...................forever..........to get my stuff to post. That is one thing I hope that they definitely have fixed on the new ships! Faster, internet service!

Tell them not to worry they can do the check in at the port. The last time we sailed (last October) they had someone at the top of the escalator directing you to a table where cast members can check your paperwork. Ours was all filled out so we just bypassed it but they can stop there and fill everything out and get it checked. I would think it would only take a couple extra minutes. There is a separate line for Castaway Club members but they don't have to go in it. If the other line looks shorter tell them to go there.

Hope they have a great cruise!

BUT they should have the forms filled out that came in the doc package before they get to the terminal. It will make their check in so much easier and not take a long time.

The CM's will not fill it in for them, as your parents are the only ones who knows all the info to who is traveling.

Just read and fill it in and it is very simple. names, address, passport nos, credit card info and no. of people

When I was in the terminal about 2 or so weeks ago, the CC line had hardly no one in it. But that changes w/every cruise and each cruise has new cruisers and CC members.
