2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

yippeeeeeeee. Next Saturday we will be waking up in Orlando!!!!!!

Got the shopping done, but can't get the lawn mover started. So until DH gets back it's the ironing board for me. Have a great day!!!!

Well.......next Saturday, at this time, I should have already awakened from sleeping in Ft. Lauderdale in the guest bedroom at Kay's! (Thanks Kay.) But I might still be on Mountain Standard Time and thinking I'm in Salt Lake....

By this time, knowing Kay, we will be well on our way and probably have made it to Orlando. If not, I'm sure we are pretty close. (Kay is there any Disney shopping outlets from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando?)

This will be a new road trip for me. I've been from Ft. Lauderdale to Port Canveral, but not to Orlando. (Can't wait to have Kay's GPS tell us how to get there!) wrong turn...........turn around and return to the interstate!

By this time next week we will be spending our first full day at the World. We will be arriving Friday hopfuly around 1:30. So by the time we get checked in and all it will be late afternoon. I guess it sounds like a Pool time afternoon. Can't wait.
well for now Nanc and I are on our way to see our Grandsons football game.

we are taking the Turnpike which is 178 mile straight up. 4 service plazas on the way.

There is a shopping center when we get to Osceola Pkwy called "the Loop". We can stop in there - that is fine with me. I've been wanting to do that anyways and never wanted to stop alone or was always trying to get somewhere in a hurry or on time.

Have the car ready. 4 new tires and all balanced and aligned. GPS is working fine. I used my COSTCO gift cards to pay for them. Took up all of my $850 in free money. Guess I'll have to start over again.

yes there is one there:

as you go west on I-4, before you get to the DTD exit, you will see it on your left.

But you have to go all the way down and exit at the DTD exit and on 535 go away from DTD (to your left) to the Lake Bryan stop light (the first stop light) and turn left and then wind around the road and you will get to it that way. As you travel the side road, you will be looking at the traffaic on I-4.

Is that clear as mud???????

Does any one know where the Disney outlet is in Orlando? Maybe we can hit that before we go to SSR.

Maybe this is better, Joanne:

As you exit I-4 and veer to the right to go to DTD area and the back way to SSR,

don't veer to the right

but veer/turn to the left and go under the highway (I-4) and to the first red/stop light and turn left there and just follow the road around to the shopping center.

it's easy to get there

Annette and i love that Outlet mall. You can find all kinds of bargains and it is the only disney outlet i know of. Dont tell our friends and family but most of there presents come from the outlet.

4 days from right now we should be on final desent to mco. I guess i should start packing what annette told me to get around. If you cant tell annette does all of our packing because i bring the entire house.

I want to thank Linda's DH for not going on this Member cruise, as it saved me extra $$'s not to have to pay for one person in a room.

Taking a break from packing.

Small bag for the road/WDW - done!

Garment bag for the cruise - done!

Suitcase for the cruise - working on it.

Buttons are all done from Mark's side, I just have to do my part of putting them in their envelopes and packing them.

I now that Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be crazy at work so if it doesn't get done this weekend it isn't going to get done.

I'll be so glad when Thursday is here and we are on the road!

Hey there everyone!!

I know everyone is getting piles together to pack as far as clothing? Is there a weather site for the Bahamas? I don't want to pack 3 pairs of pants if I only need 1. This will be our first DVC cruise. How many suitcases should we pack? There is DH, Alexander (3) and me. I was thinking 3 with one that is nesting in the other.
We also have those cool space saver bags so those will put to good use.

Can't wait to meet everyone!! We'll be back at All Star Sports hanging at the pool. What is everyone doing for dinner that night? I'm not sure if I want to eat at Disney or not.

9 days till my Spa Treatment!!! Counting the days!!

Some packing done here too. DH hasn't done any, but i think I am ready. Dinner clothes ironed and in garment bag. Shorts & t shirts in cruise bag. Shorts & shirts in park bag for after. Snorkle stuff in suitcase.
Have to finish FE's did some this am while dh was sleeping......

Is the disney store in a mall? What's the name?

We have a Disney Oulet here in our Outlet mall. They don't have much. But some times you can find something good. I bought a men's golf jacket fro $6.00 once and a Tiger Woods golf shirt for $20.00. I check it out every so many weeks.

Well we are off to church & dinner have a good evening.

The Radisson cam seems to be down so I can't watch the magic leave today!!!

Oh, I usually hit the Disney Outlet everytime I am in Orlando. But once you have been a hundred times, it's kinda hard to find anything too exciting! But I'm willing to go!

It's the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall. If you are going West on I-4 you can see it to the left immediately before the exit to Downtown Disney. I usually put the car on auto pilot and it drives me right there since that I the first place I hit when coming into town. Here's a link to the outlet mall website:
