2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

I notice it looks like Sunday and Monday will be stormy in Nassau, hope that won't affect us to much.

Hubby is already packed. My goal this weekend was to pack for the kids and for me - the things we won't need here but lucky me I am still trying to catch up on homework and have come down with a cold.

We are busy packing too. I have closed picked out way ahead of time. Finally got Dawn to go thru hers.

We are also trying to do a Cruise bag, and a Disney (for after the cruise bag).

Sat. night we are eating at Coral Reef in Epcot at 4:30 so we will leave the 3:00 pm dismeet around 3:45 or so.

By the way, do we get towels for Castaway Cay from the boat or on Castaway Cay?

Joannel, Im staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas checking in on friday mourning.I have never stayed or visited AKL/AKV so im excited in staying here.I was going to get a Boma reservation but my daughter likes the rainforest so we are going to eat at the Animal kingdom location on friday.Saturday is the pre cruise meet so we are going over to Epcot for the food and wine.We enjoy eating different things and it's alot of fun.

During the week my wife will finish packing up her and my daughter.Im only packing 5 or 6 pairs of shorts,some shirts,shoes and my suit.
As for the weather on monday the 22nd it looks okay to me with a temp of 86 and a 30% chance of a t-storm.

Buttons are done!

Here they are:

As you can see they are in individual envelopes and are organized by room numbers. After a few years of doing this I think we finally got a pretty good system down. So when you come to the meet (either one) I'll probably ask you your room number. I'll do this even if you are someone I know and have cruised with before. Then I'll look in the bag and pull out the envelope for your room. If you miss both meets we'll get the buttons to you at some point either Sunday night or sometime on Monday. Hopefully everyone can come to one of the two meets to pick them up.

We've found that they pin nicely onto the lanyard they are going to give us so you don't have to keep pinning and unpinning them to your clothes. Wearing them around the ship is a great way to spot other DISers and for them to spot you. Plus we've found the crew and DVC staff love seeing an organized group.

By the way, do we get towels for Castaway Cay from the boat or on Castaway Cay?

As you walk off the ship there will be a few trolleys full of towels and some cast members passing them out. On your way back to the ship you'll find some bins to put your used towels in. Very easy.

I just got reservations for O'hana at the PR for 5pm. I hope Alexander likes the Luau. I've never been to one. I guess I'm starting my island time early

I'll have to post pictures of Alexander's birthday party. We're having it at preschool on Weds so I don't have to worry about cleaning my house. It's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Themed.

Anybody watch Ace of Cakes on Food Network? We have a bakery here in Greensboro that does the same thing. I showed the chef of the MMC and told him to run with it. Can't wait to see what he comes up with!!

Mary .. the pins look great! . I cannot wait to go.. I started packing today & have a bit of a pile to iron. DH is packing tomorrow. It is cool & Fall -like here in Buffalo. Tomorrow, we are going to Corning Glass to make glass pumpkins with the Corning worker's help. We will stop at the Finger Lakes wineries on the way. It is harvest time for the grape crop.
I will be so glad when this next work week is over & we can take off for some fun! Have a good night everyone. I am off to dream about sand, the gentle breezes & sunshine!!

WE are off for a bike ride on the beach this morning and then to w afriends house to watch the Patriots & Dallas.

Have a great day. Fall at the beach is the best time. Tourists are gone and the weather is perfect.

I can't believe that we're almost there!!
I have SO MUCH to do. I also have the extra step of getting the Halloween stuff ready for the kids for the MNSSHP on the 26th - This is going to be one big trip!!

Enjoy your bike ride. DH and I used to ride all the time. He love it.

Then very recently since he passed, someone stole his bike out of one of my sheds in the backyard. But mine is still there. I'm grateful for that anyways.

Do you ride on the beach?? that would be very tough.

Hi Kay , No not on the sand that would be way too much work, but Navarre has a real nice bike bath. It still has not been repaired since Ivan, but there is enough to get a good ride. My favorite ride is on 30A through Seaside. But on football Sundays we have to be back by noon and Navarre is only 5 minutes away. That's a shame about Harry's bike.


Have you even done the bikes on CC? We are going to give that a try this time.

haven't done the bikes on CC yet but the last couple of time I went, I stopped by and said "I should do that now that I am able to".

Real soon I will - Actually Nov. 25th would be a good trip for me to ride the bikes. I'll be alone and can take my time and not talk someone into going with me that really doesn't want to do it.

On 11/15 I'll have Kaitlyn and she is too young to ride that long. Would never do that to her little body.
