2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

Nicole:

to change your dining, you should try and change your time immediately when you get onboard. The sooner you get there, the more chances you have at getting it changed.

Since this is a special cruise, it might be a little hard to do.

But I sure would give it a try

Mary- I agree, seeing those pictures has gotten me to want to pack my bags tonight!!!! :cool1:

We cannot wait to meet everyone at the Beach Club on Sat. Will it still be at 3pm?

I was showing Alexander the pictures and he seems very excited to go. This will be our 4th DC but first with DVC. I can't wait to take him to Port Canaveral!!
I've got a quick question....

Alexander is going to be 3 on October 17. He has started Preschool and has a different schedule now than he did when we booked. He is going to bed at 8:30-9pm on most nights. Do you think there will be a problem switching to the early seating? I want to keep everyone sane....

Thanks!!

Nicole

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

We need a vacation NOW - we just cannot wait another minute!!! Today I spent 3 hours in the ER because my daughter, Aly (her new name - used to be Alexis), injured her right leg during a soccer game today. She had to be carried off the field. Thankfully, no broken bones - just a really bad sprain. Unfortunately, she's on crutches and has a lower leg brace. Doc says she'll be this way for at least a week and half. We leave in 13 days - wish us luck. Sad thing is, 2 years ago this happened, during a soccer game, and she ended up spending a lot of time in a wheelchair at WDW. Better believe I've been making fun of her all evening.

Looking forward to some more info from the DVC cruise site...

I'll have to take a look at those pictures from Mary that everybody has been talking about.

Hope everybody is having a great, and injury-free, weekend.
;)

Good morning Member Cruisers!
36347SS2007.gif
We sail in 3 weeks!

Glad everyone enjoyed the photos. I know I enjoyed looking back at the great memories we had and looking forward to the great memories we'll make on this cruise.

can't believe we are only 3 weeks away from sailing! I went through our toiletry bags yesterday making sure we had everything. Some (like the daily stuff - shampoo, deoderant, toothpaste, etc.) need to be in our road bag while others like sunscreen, and the "what-ifs" can be in the luggage we most likely won't open until we get on the cruise. With that set I'm going to bring our rolling rack up to the dining room and start setting out clothes for the trip. Again with two packing styles in mind. One piece of luggage just for the road trip and then two more for the cruise.

Oh yes - the pics are great to see. All of mine are on my screen saver on my computer and I see them each day.

Each one brings back memories.

When the ones with my DH pops up, I remember those very special like.

Besides the Panama Canal cruise, he loved the Member Cruise very much.

He'd be happy to know that I am going on this one with a friend.

Enough of that and back to regular scheduled programming !!!!!!

Less than three weeks to go - sounds wonderful to me.

Joannel - let me know what you found out

Does anyone have the Navigators from last year's cruise that they can post (or are they already posted?)

Thanks

Morning all,

I hit up Walmart this am. I have had success...... I have found the goodie I am going to put in every ones' FE. I hope no one else has gotten the same thing. I spent a lot of time wandering Wal mart at 7:20 am. Not very crowded on a Sunday morning. It is beautiful out. 75 and no humidity.....yippeeee fall is here.

Only 20 more days. Two more Sundays and it's us.!!!!!!!!

Have agreat Sunday.

Not posted anywhere that I know of. We didn't bother posting them to the DIS as they are for a unique cruise.

We have them but doubt we can get them all scanned an up anytime soon. Mark (who does the scanning) has been working some long hours and today is doing over the car (oil change, check breaks, clean, wax) for the road trip.

If there is something specific you are looking for I could look it up for you.

I doubt there will be much time for exercise, but did they offer any classes other than spinning?

What time do the activities start on the sea day?

Thanks Mary

What wonderful pictures!!! It is really getting me excited. My kids too.
I can hardly wait and I bet these last 3 weeks are going to go by a little slower than the rest.

did someone post a copy of the decks with the staterooms highlighted, as to where everyone was going to be????

I can't seem to find it.

Help --------------------:headache:

Does anyone know how many staterooms that are accounted for through today???

Help again -----------------:headache:

I know NOT what I do today :confused3

Looking through the navigators I don't see anything about the classes. Only about some spa treatments. Sorry.

Here's a breakdown of the highlights for each day. Those that I have highlighted in red are unique to the DVC Cruise (some like sailaway and Mickey Mania are on all cruises but were done with a DVC twist). Hope this helps all you planners. Kay if you go to the Member Gallery http://monorailgreen.info/member2007...photoindex.htm you can see a listing of everyone who has sent me info. If you click on their stateroom number it will take you to the deck plan for that deck. Hope that helps.

Note - if you see a listing without a stateroom number it is because that individual did not want it posted.

Thanks!

Linda - let us know if you will have the deck plans...it is ok if you don't I will print them off somehow. Just love the deck plans and everyones pictures right there! Great WEB PAGE.

Not a problem. I'll just add the deck plans to the mini navigator when I get the files from Mary!

Okay, worked an adult recruitment event for my job all day Friday and Saturday and when I wasn't there, I was here in the office having a meeting with our new auditors.

Today-I'm in the office working all day because today is officially the end of our fiscal year. (we changed this year from 12/31 to 9/30), so I am doing TWO audits this year.

So, the next three weeks will probably be seven day workweeks, but I just looked at my clock and realized that 3 weeks from today at this time, we will be hitting the Atlantic Ocean and sailing to Castaway Cay. Now that is something that surely made me smile for the first time today!

Okay, back to work.

I've been playing with the files some today and can't figure out a way to include the side boxes with the names and pictures. However when I did the mini nav for last years cruise I just put in the deck plans with the colored cabins and then a listing of the rooms/names separate. Linda is you want those .jpgs I'll be happy to send them to you as well as the Excel file. Not sure if you also want all the small thumbprint pictures of everyone but I can send those to you as well. I've never used them on my mini nav but I've heard you go into more detail than i have so you might want them. Just let me know.

Yikes! What a schedule. I thought I was bad when I found out one of my clients (who has been real quiet work wise lately) was sending 3 different jobs the week we leave. You've got me beat!

Mary,
I was trying to figure out what time are the guest speakers are. I would give up my Palo brunch for Marty Sklar! Thank you for posting all that info.

It's hard to believe that 3 weeks from right now we are at the first show of our trip!!

I will put the deck plans, the names, board names, and stateroom numbers on a list in the mini-navigator, but I think that the mini-nav will get too big if I start trying to add pictures (especially the time to download, copy, paste, get in the booklet, etc.), so let's forego the pics.

I think with everyone wearing the great buttons you guys make on their lanyards and the meet and greets we do on both Saturday and Sunday, we should be able to recognize most everyone. (Besides, I probably don't look anything like my picture!) :rotfl2: ----although one picture you posted today, I did see the back of my head and thought to myself "oh, that's my hair right after I got it all cut off and donated 12 inches to Locks of Love!"
