2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

I will put the deck plans, the names, board names, and stateroom numbers on a list in the mini-navigator, but I think that the mini-nav will get too big if I start trying to add pictures (especially the time to download, copy, paste, get in the booklet, etc.), so let's forego the pics.

I think with everyone wearing the great buttons you guys make on their lanyards and the meet and greets we do on both Saturday and Sunday, we should be able to recognize most everyone. (Besides, I probably don't look anything like my picture!) ----although one picture you posted today, I did see the back of my head and thought to myself "oh, that's my hair right after I got it all cut off and donated 12 inches to Locks of Love!"

that is a nice question, Annette: sometimes we do wonder, don't we???

the KR is my initials - and when I worked, my boss said I could work from M-T and be off every Friday. And I loved that job.

and I was always disneybound

For about 4 years I would leave on Friday mornings early and head to WDW - sometimes alone and sometimes with my hubby - when he felt like it - and I would head to WDW for the weekend.

I would stay with friends - many of them are CM's - or with other friends and just have a wonderful weekend.

And then that stopped when I got very sick on 10/1/03.

OMG - it is 4 years today. I just now realized that. And the last 4 years is when my life turned totally up side down and changed forever.

But today I am well on the way of being well and I don't have nurses at my house every day and not in the hospital every week.

Since my DH passed this year, I knew I had to either join him or do it alone or keep going.

So I cruise and do what comes each day and try to start planning some things.

OK - ENOUGH OF THAT - !!!!!!

This is going to be a wonderful cruise

BTW - I will be bringing some yellow straps for everyone to secure their FE's to the outside of their doors - so they will not "float" away.

If you think of it, put a pair of scissors in your suitcase so that you can cut the strap off at the end of the cruise.

I sure hope so! We found last year that it was nice to be able to really talk to people without the rush you find on the first day onboard the ship. Of course the onboard meet is great too because it can include everyone.

Just a reminder for the Saturday meet:

Saturday, October 20th 3PM Eastern time
The Solarium in the Beach Club

The On Board DIS Meet:


On the Wonder Sunday, October 21st
by 3 pm BEFORE the Lifeboat Drill, which usually happens at 4pm
Deck 10, Midship(above the Goofy Pool, on the dock side)


Backup meet point if the weather isn't co-operating will be Deck 9 mid-ship on the dock side.

And this is probably going to be the more common DIS meet. Everyone should be able to get to this one ok. We can try for some kind of group shot if everyone is game. We can also meetup there after the lifeboat drill for the sailaway party. The reason for the main meet to be before, is the sailaway party will be mobbed and VERY loud! Not the best time for everyone to get to know each other. ​

I am so excited!!! I can't believe it's this month!! i have my son next to me saying "Mickey Boat, Disney Boat." So, I have to go watch the Podcast again!!

Well, my board name is the name we have for our boat, a 25' cabin cruiser and it is called Sea-U-Later. Thus, the board name.

Funny thing is, this guy I know named John (from the disboards and his wife Gail), kept seeing me on the member cruise and kept calling me Sea Slaughter. Gail and I couldn't figure out what he was doing. Finally we asked why are you calling me Sea Slaughter? He said "cuz that is your disboard name". Explained to him it was SEA U LATER, not Sea Slaughter. We had a good laugh about it and ever since he always says Sea Slaughter.

I can see that after this cruise and Disney stay I will have to stop eating for a while.Betwwen all that food on the cruise and seeing the menu's for the food and Wine im in trouble.It's scary when you start to look foward to eating at Epcot.Im sure im not the only one.This trip im going in the worst shape I have ever been in.A few injuries that slowed me down and boredom fueled my eating habit.I cant wait for 2007 to be OVER.Since the ball dropped it has been one thing after another without taking a breath.I felt like a Peg Leg pirate with a bad case of termites and new peg legs on back order from a wood carvers mutiny.

Hello everyone, boy it's been a looong weekend. We had our International Festival at our church and I was in charge of selling Raffle tickets and bingo but I spent the whole day running around putting out fires. We had a moon bounce deflate while there where kids bouncing in it(generator ran out of gas-vendor's fault), we didn't expect such a great turn out we ran out of food, drinks, prizes, and cotton candy. I am very happy it is over and was a success. I am turning over all of my stuff and will concentrate on packing for our cruise. I just feel really guilty cuz the boys missed both football games and I really didn't get to spend any quality time with the kids at the festival and to top it off the DH is out of the country till Sunday. I hope everybody else is having a great week and I can't wait to meet you all very very soon!!!!
