Greetings..... My wife and I are now wondering what the shipboard options are during the Member Cruise. What about breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffets, brunches? Is there a dress code for any/all of the meals. We have late dining. What does that mean? Is it too late to make a reservation at Palo's? If not, should we? Thanks in advance......
For breakfast and lunch you have two options. The buffet up on deck 9 at Beach Blanket or sit down in Triton's. Both of them are open seating means you can go whenever (in the time frame they are open) and are not assigned seats. If you opt for the sit-down they may seat you at a table with others which is a great way to meet new people. Also you have the option of Goofy's galley up on deck 9 which has fruit and pastries in the morning and sandwiches in the afternoon. Pluto's which has hot dogs, burgers, fries, etc. and Pinochhio's which offers pizza.
For dinner you will be assigned a table and dining time. Late dining means you'll be in the later of the two rotations (usually around 8 pm). If you want to go to the main shows you will do that before dining (while early seating goes to the shows after dining).
As for brunch it will be offered up in Palo on our sea day only. Palo brunch is wonderful and fills up fast! Palo is also available for dinner by reservation only. This is every night of the cruise so you have a better chance of booking it.
Dress for dinner is cruise casual which usually translates to dockers/polo shirts for men and sundresses, capris, or nice pant sets for women. For Palo dinner it is a bit dressier. Nice dress or fancy pant set for women, dress pants and a dress shirt for men (many also add a jacket and tie). For beach blanket, Goofy's, Pluto's, and Pinochhio's you are fine in a bathing suit and cover up as they are by the pools. For Triton's for breakfast and lunch you will be fine in shorts and tops much as you would at WDW.
Reservations for Palo can be made at 105 days out for those people in cats 2 and 3 (the ones are not occupied during this cruise). 90 days out for
castaway club members (those who have sailed before) and 75 days out for new cruisers.
Some people will say that Palo is a must. While I love Palo we didn't do it until our 4th cruise and I don't regret it.
I hope this helps and I'm sure others will chime in with their opinions.
