2007 AKV points?

If I purchase AKV points now (with the incentive, NOT the developer's points) When would I get my first allotment of points? If I wanted a reservation for December 2007 would I need to borrow 2008 points?

I asked this same question, early on. The answer's not as simple as one would hope.

First off, the good news. The reports are that the first Use Year going on sale to the General Public is Oct '07. That means, provided you buy relatively soon, you're likely to get '07 points.

The complicated part comes if you DON'T get an '07 Use Year. If you have to borrow, it becomes an issue of whether or not your "unit" has actually been finished and added into DVC inventory. Since construction is ongoing, that becomes a crap shoot. You MIGHT be able to borrow, you might not. You'll have to talk to Member Services and monitor when your assigned unit is ready. Or at least that's the way other posters here on the DIS boards explained it to me.

Shan, since you would be purchasing as a DVC member, you would get 2007 points for the same Use Year as your master contract. You should not need to borrow unless you need more points than you'll add on.
