Hmmmm....I wonder why my tickers stopped working. I love seeing the countdown every day. Well, at least now I have plenty of time to figure that out! Off to do some investigating....OH wait! My brain is on vacation!

OK. That didn't take long....the website my tickers came from is being reconstructed.

Now, on to more important topics: After the obvious DIS meet (which I probably won't get there on time for) and the sail away celebration, what is the first activity everybody plans to do onboard? For us, Tyler told me the first thing he wants to do is eat a Mickey bar and then go to Oceaneers Club. If he sticks with his plan, I plan on laying on deck somewhere watching the water go by and enjoying some true relaxation! Oh...a beer or 2 might be involved!

Or if there are any really SHORT people, we can use them on the bar stools to bring them up to the proper height!

This will be our first eastern caribbean cruise. Does anyone who's been on one before have any recommendations as far as excursions or things to see when we pull into port? Our only other cruise experience was a 4 day as part of a land and sea adventure and we only went to Nassau (and Castaway Cay of course).

I'm sure she was really thrilled to hear you're bringing your book on your WEDDING cruise! But seriously, CONGRATS! There was a couple who got married on my last cruise too. Very cool!

By the way CJM, what type of Project Management? My son's dad is a project manager for a construction company, so I always hear about how stressful it is. Handling multi-million dollar projects....YIKES!

As sick as this is going to sound, Holly I think you might have a good idea. I always tear through novels on the sea days…homework would clearly last FOREVER!!!!!

In my case it would be taxes. Maybe we can have a contest to see who can put the most people to sleep by read out loud.

All kidding aside, it was suggested yesterday that I take a laptop with me and do the company payroll from the deck. Of course I was stunned and agreed. If you see me on deck muttering about ADP you will know the higher ups actually meant it! On the plus side, I would be paid to sit in sun doing payroll, way better then my office.

ONLY 496 hours till we can board the ship.

I'm a PM for the state/provincial government here. So although I don't deal with a large building, I do deal with millions of public funds which has its own stress, like the auditor general lol.

I am positive that I can speak for all of us. We will ALL help you with your payroll if we get added to that payroll for the week we are on the cruise.

I think we would be forced to walk the plank! Oooooooooohhhh....That reminded me of my favorite treat onboard: Walk the triple layered chocolate gangplank cake. YUM! Can't wait to have that on pirate night!

This is our 8th Eastern on Disney...my recommendation for excursions is to do the Golden Eagle catamaran on St. Maarten! That is the one we have actually done more than once! St. Thomas the kids enjoyed the Dubloon excursion. If you want an overview of St. Maarten, the Under Two Flags is very low physical strain and fairly informative. We also really just enjoy meandering about and talking with the locals. The French side of St. Maarten has some wonderful restaurants and great boutiques!

I'm planning to on the first night. Even though it will be 3 days after the actual day. Kind of strange, but it just seems like a good idea. I never have time to drive out of town to celebrate it with my family, so this time I decided the cruise will be a perfect place to celebrate! I'm calling this trip my birthday present to myself.

Good for you Holly!!! Even better news there is that they got rid of the ucky pink thing they used to try to pass off as cake! The birthday cake they served at the end of July was nice! Abby and Alec, the two that had had their birthdays earlier in the summer, were bummed that we didn't plan on celebrating everyones!!!!

We are less than three weeks away!!! Anybody packing?????
