If I'm in the wrong place--my apologies...

Who wants to join me in a rate watch for 2006. Haven't seen them posted, yet...but I do see a few countdowns out there. Have you picked your cruise already and are just waiting to book!

Can't wait to add my countdown to our first DCL Cruise!

I must be a big ol' dork--or everyone is going in 2005.

I guess I will keep watch on my own. If anyone has any idea when they will be released, please feel free to post.

I'm guessing they can post 2006 rates any time between now and May 2005 :earseek:

I've got a cruise coming up in Nov 2004, and then the Aug 2005 repo cruise, so I'm not all that sure that I'll be able to afford a 2006 cruise (but here's to hoping :hyper: )

Lisa...I'm with you...

I have a "hypothetical" cruise planned for late 2006. I've started saving already...and have a good 20 or 30 bucks so far! I definitely want one of the SPH's.

We were going to eat at Grills this afternoon and watched the ships leave port. Carnival Glory was leaving. So we just lingered in the parking lot and saved the money. I will be transferring it to the new cruise fund account and have about the same as you clh2! I'm keeping my expectations low though :hyper: Category 11--and if I can get more $$$, I'll bump up a category or 2. Hoping with a GTY and Early booking--I can get one of those nice upgrades people on the DIS boards talk about.

Happy sails to those sailing in 2004 or 2005.

We want the September 16, 2006, 7 night cruise UNLESS the prices go up a lot; then we will want the September 17, 2006, 4 night cruise.

I am not expecting prices to be out for a long time though.

LisaPooh -- If you're a big ol' dork for planning so far in advance, then I am too. We're planning to cruise Disney again October 2006 -- that's a long way away!

clh2 -- I'm saving too. I have my downpayment ready, but I fear that westjones is right to say that the prices may not be posted for some time. With Disney putting out feelers towards the West Coast, and with hints about a new ship, I think they'll keep us waiting a bit until they've decided what's best for their bottom line.

MrsPete - I actually was savings $150 in travellers checks from our trip last fall, and decided we needed to use them for part of a small landscaping project that I insisted get done. I may start to try some e-baying of DD's clothes.

We currently have a cruise booked for Oct. 2005 that we booked on the ship. I'm hoping to get it rebooked for October 2006. I too am waiting for 2006 rates!

Hi MrsPete--we'll be dorks together :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'll just keep my hopes up that Wonder will be on the East coast in 10/06....just had a thought though--my dd will be 6. Don't want her to grow up so fast--but then again, maybe it will speed up my wait time.

I was hoping to do a 7 night cruise in summer of 2005 but can't due to the fact that it is moving out west. So, now I have to wait until summer of 2006. Seems like a loooong way off.:(

It stated on that website that the system will be down from 5/26-5/29 for upgrading and such...Perhaps they will have the prices for 2006 by then.

Good luck!!

Well, we were just talking with friends of ours last night and it looks like we will be cruising DCL in 2006 too! It will have to be during the summer months, though .... although we don't mind taking the kids out of school for the trip, i am a teacher and can't get the time off :teeth: So now we will 'patiently' wait til rates come out!

Since we got bumped out of joining the DVC, thanks to our heating/air conditioning system dieing right after we returned from the May 8th western cruise, we will absolutely be on the May ?, 2006 eastern cruise. So put us in the pool of big ol' dorks.

By the way, does anyone know how I can remove my countdown since our cruise is now just a bunch of magical memories?

Can't you just delete the text for the countdown clock in your signature. I'm not too computer savvy--but if the text code isn't there anymore--then the clock is gone.

The pricing usually comes out approx. a year out.

We are still waiting on some nice brochures to
give out for the repositioning cruises that have
been booked for 2005. Got the Mexican Riveira
brochures for the special sailings but not the
repositioning ones.

You can always keep in touch with DCL direct
at 800-511-1333.

We are always willing to help, so feel free to
email anytime :)

Dana...do you work for DCL?

If I call DCL directly at this point--what would the outcome be? Do they waitlist people this soon?

I think I can wait for the rates--just a little excited...

I don't know much about computers either, but I think you just click on the blue icon at the top of the page that says:

USER CP

Then click on Edit Profile.

Go through your profile information and delete the part that have the timer information (I ususally just go in and change my date, but it would be easy to delete also----NOW, I have no idea how to get it back once it is deleted though, I just use the same one over and over with a new date in it).

Thanks for the help guys, now I will have to figure how to turn the countdown back on when DW and I determine the official date of next trip.

We're anxiously awaiting the release to book our January 2006 Western cruise. Have already looked ahead to figure out which days it will probably be sailing on by looking at December 2005. Magic here we come!pirate: :boat:
