2006: Easter vs. Spring Break (March) vs. June

We just found out our spring break for next year will not be around Easter, as it usually is, it will be the 3rd week in March (Easter 2006 is in mid-April). I've always heard that before-after Easter is always busy, so I never thought of that as an option for us, but with break being in March I'm wondering how that compares to Easter week with all of the colleges on Spring Break. Can someone compare Spring Break (3rd week of March) to the first week in June (when we went this year...the 5th-9th I think)? I know the weather will be MUCH better, but how about the crowds? I could handle similar crowds in better weather, but I wouldn't really want it to be more crowded. DH and I are both teachers so this is a great non-summer option for us. TIA for all of your input!!!

I would think March that far in front of Easter would be quite do-able. We have gone a couple of times during Spring Break (ours is always the week after Easter), and we've had a great time.... The only thing about weather is that the water parks aren't a sure thing in the spring - we've found in April it's been a little cool, but I think it depends on the week. We're going at the end of March this year, and hoping to swim at least a little. Never been in early June - we went in early May once, which is near perfect before we had kids in school!

Water parks aren't a big deal for us. I'd be happy to tour MK in a sweatshirt! :jumping1:

Spring break has long, long lines for big attractions. FP's are sometimes gone by 12 noon. It can be a madness. I have been late May/early June and not bad at all. I Would say splash mountain 60/90 minute wait and FP still available at 4 and 5 pm. We were worried about June 5 - June 13th last year and as you can see we are going back :D I will be back May 28 - June 6th. The only problem was that occasional 3 o'clock afternoon rain, and I can deal with that :flower1:

In 2003, we were at WDW during our Spring Break (always the last week of March). Easter was in mid-April. The crowds were definitely manageable, in my opinion. Actually, we are contemplating a Spring Break trip in 2006 as well.

I can tell you that many of NY school districts have their 2006 spring recess at Easter next year! So, I least we won't be there during your spring break time :flower:
