We had a family day at Cedar Point yesterday. Great weather.
The park was not as busy as I thought it would have been. Most people were in the back part of the park waiting 3+ hours for MAVERICK - the new roller coaster. It looks really great. I was not willing to spend 3 hours in line for even the free t-shirt they were giving out.

I am not big on TALL coasters but Nick did get me on the Magnum. There is now way anyone will ever get me on Millineum Force. NOPE no WAY. Rich tried out Sky Hawk ( A really big swing) and Max air ( a really big swing that spins as well). Nick will be going back in 3 weeks with camp.

When we got back last night I was worn out and went straight to bed.
Nick has 7 days of school left and then a summer playing at YMCA camp.

OH and I finally completed that first add on today. Calling tomorrow for that 1st ressie at AKV.

Sounds like fun, Erin!!! And, welcome to the AKV group!!

Hello everyone!

Gail & Carol - You were in my thoughts today.

Cindy - It sounds so odd hearing that Cameron is crossing over to Jr High. I guess I'm used to how things are done here in NY. Jr High is 6th thru 8th grade at his school so Nick crossedover last year.
The last day of school isn't until June 21st here (but we also start after Labor day). Nick has a field trip on Thursday and I'm a chaperone. We are going to NJ to have lunch at Medevial Time and then into Manhattan to go to the Museum of Natural History and the Rose Planetarium. I can't wait!

Mary - Welcome back. I can't wait to hear & see more about your trip!

Julie - Don't worry I think that rain is heading our way since we are supposed to be getting it later in the week.

Tina - Sounds like you are just chugging along on those house renovations! Keep it up!

Well our weekend stared up in the Adirondack Mountains. It was a gorgeous day and we were about up there to work on an Eagle Scout project. We were clearing out a stream bed that is an overflow stream for Pyramid lake. There is a church camp that basically owns the lake and I think 750 acres of land around the lake.
We stayed overnight and had a real good time. They fed us some good food then at night we sat around the campfire and had some wine. Not to bad.
The rest of the weekend we basically relaxed and went to see POTC3!!!

Thanks again to everyone for the thoughts and prayers over the past week on the loss of my dad. It was a very rough weekend, but we managed to get through it.

Mary, I love the video clips of Christopher dancing ~ I'm sure Karen would fully approve of his tee shirt :thumbsup2

:cake: Happy Birthday, Deanna! :cake:

:cool1: :dance3: I can't believe your 13 today :dance3: :cool1:

Happy 13th Birthday Deanna!

UTOP - PDFG and all who need it!

Hi,
This is Deanna! Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I am soooo happy I'm finally a teenager!!!!! Now all I need is the cellphone I keep begging my parents for! (Which I won't be getting according to my mom and dad!)

Deanna

Good morning everyone!!! And, welcome to hurricane season. It officially started yesterday, and low and behold, we have Tropical Storm Barry giving us LOTS of rain!! Thankfully, that's really all that it's bringing is rain, some isolated tornados and not much wind. And, we REALLY needed the rain down here with all of these brush fires!! They're saying that it'll be cleared out by later this afternoon/early evening, thank goodness. I'm just hoping that we keep our power, so we can keep the girls busy since we have to stay inside all day.:scared1:
