Hey Stranger!



Last day of school today -- 2 hours and the kids will be here under my feet all summer. Sleeping until noon, staying up until well past midnight, throwing my routine off, begging to go here and there, and of course, that all comes with a pricetag as well. Something tells me it's going to be a LONG summer around here. And, then come August, I'll be saying just how quiet and lonely it truly is with them back in school.

You won't believe this - well, at least, I still don't believe this! Karen and I decided to book the return of the Magic from the Med last night. We had so much fun on our last trip that, yup, you're reading that we are doing it again - we are bring the Magic home from the Med in August!!! Am I nuts or what???

Last day of school today -- 2 hours and the kids will be here under my feet all summer. We just booked AKV for a Sunday and Monday night in November after our Thanksgiving cruise.

All that was available was standard view so I booked that and went on a wait list for Savanna View.

Hey, that's not such a bad idea, especially since I think we'll still be hanging around FL that Sunday night as well. Airfare for our return trip is still WAY more than I'm willing to pay.

I just might have to call for myself. Care for some company or do you think you'll be tired of us by then?


I called once already today - with wishful thinking that I might be able to book Columbus Day weekend, but no such luck. There will be another time, I have no doubt. I know my kids would love to have a Savannah view.

Right now, we don't have any plans for a family trip to WDW, I just might have to get working on that.

Book it - I'm sure we won't be tired of you guys!!!! All of our AP's will have expired by then so I'm not sure if we will be doing any parks. I think it will be fun to hang at the resort for the day & a half we'll be there.

The crazy airfare prices are why we booked to go down on a Thursday and come back on a Tuesday. I so hate it when we have to extend our vacations

We only have our flight down booked at this time. The Sunday after our cruise is still WAY high! Like $342/each! There is NO way I'm paying that, we'll drive home first. I'm hoping when Southwest opens up flights for late November the end of this month, we'll be able to snag one. Worse case, we can't get an affordable flight home Monday and have to stay even longer.

So much for our plan to have the kids miss very little school.

I waitlisted for AKV but in the meantime, I was able to book a 1 bedroom over at BCV. It gives us a headstart on and Walker has only been to Stormalong Bay when he was a non-Walker.

Hey, I have a better idea, you guys come up to my house after your cruise and stay and help get my Christmas decorations up. You can each do a tree and the guys can help with the outside lights!!!

We have to go till Friday, 1 hr Friday morning!!! I think that is nuts! But Krystina is going to summer school starting Monday, so she doesnt really get a break. Its only for 3 weeks, then she has the whole month of July off, and then goes 3 weeks in August, and then school starts! So we will be busy with that, and all the daycare activities that the girls go on...I am having trouble booking anything with what is planned already! Good Luck to ya Cindy!

We had the same problem last year...Wanted to fly home on Saturday or Sunday, couldnt get a flight for under 300...So we opted fly home on Friday with a stop in Louisville...It was a nightmare!!! The plane was sitting at the gate for 2 hours waiting for some passengers that SW rerouted because flights were not full. I was so angry, the kids were getting tired, and anxious, and I just wanted home! I will never fly on the day after a holiday again!
