The strangest thing to me is that when I was younger (much younger and not married), I swore I was not going to be the "old" mother in school. I grew up with the "old" mother as a child, my Mom was 37 when I was born, which back then was like a dinosaur. All my friends in school had younger mothers, I had the Mom who was the grandmother of grandchildren close to my age.
But, somehow life didn't happen the way I thought it would and here I am, 44 with kids (at least one) young enough to be my own grandchildren. Cameron's 11 so it's a bit of a stretch for him to be my grandchild, but Walker at 5 could easily be.
Gary has been asked many times if he is the kids grandfather.

That tells me that some people just don't think before they open their mouths. I hope I never put my foot in my mouth like that -- there are just some things, IMO, that shouldn't be asked --- is that your grandchild, are you pregnant, are you married and pregnant. I'm just surprised that people comment on others lives sometimes the way they do

especially when they are strangers.
