Ha, ha!!! What's that old saying, "we only tease the ones we love"?!?!?

Awwww! I do feel loved! I truly do! :teeth:

I'm glad that you had fun with The Mouse this past weekend! ::MickeyMo

Regarding the booking brou-ha-ha ~

I like the idea that several of you mentioned:

Doing a four night and a seven night. Seems like a good solution to me. And I'm sure that they'd have no problem filling both ships very quickly.

I can see both points, really. I understand from these boards how much fun everyone has had on the Member's Cruises, building lasting friendships and such. It makes perfect sense to want to book it again. However, I can also understand how frustrating it can be to want very badly to do something, but not be able to for one reason or another. I just don't know... :confused3

(See Karen, in the distance, sitting on the fence.)

What I do know, is that I wouldn't want to be in Jim Lewis' shoes. Kind of a darned-if-you-do, darned-if-you-don't situation, isn't it?

Oh well. I guess that's why he's the head of DVC, and I'm a pet sitter. :paw: :)

Ok so I'm never going to brag on the temperature here again (or at least for a bit) as on Saturday while I was out in the backyard I was bit/stung by a fire ant.

Ouch!!! Man, Julie - I sure do hope that you're feeling better! I'm sure that you'll be up practicing your wedding dance in your Blinkies any day now!

I feel your pain. I'm also allergic to most bites/stings. Deer flies and horse flies are my worst. I'll never forget the time that I was bitten by one - my foot, leg, and ankle swelled to about four times their normal size. I went to the emergency room, the doctor takes one look at it, and states, "Yep. That's a reaction to a bug bite.". Thanks sooo much! Very helpful! Grrrrrr... pirate:

GTKYFK: if we didn't get through, probably waitlist. We are on 7-day prior to this one, but took 2-week vaca this time in case we wanted to try DVCMC06 instead. Well, DH decided to keep the first and second! We got back to backs. (Our first non-Members cruise)

Lily, did I read that right, You are doing a non-member cruise, followed by the member cruise. Hey, cool! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Kind of like Chris (sanddune) did last cruise except the other way.

We're looking at staying the same days, but probably at SSR or OKW. Now if I could just make those points magically multiply... :wizard: :teeth:

Karen, if you figure out a trick, without an add on, let me know. :wizard: I'd be interested in a magical mulitiply system too. Just once, that's all I need to get caught up.....for now. ;)

I would stop ripping my hair out at the roots trying to make all of our planned trips fit with our points! :crazy2:

Seriously, we would've put ourselves on the waitlist. I'm pretty confident that it would have come through. We put ourselves on the list last year, but turned it down when they called. (We were originally booked on the East-bound Repo cruise, so we didn't think it would be such a great idea to do SSMC05, as well. Turns out, we cancelled the Repo - after coming to our financial senses - so we gave up our spot on SSMC05 for nuttin'. Rats. )

Karen

Karen, just out of curiousity, when did they call with a spot from the waitlist? Do you remember?

Good morning everyone!

Lily - that is very cool that you get to get off the Magic and then on to the Wonder! What fun!

Cindy - good question on the waitlist. I saw over on the DVC forum that at least one DISer is on it. I'm sure it will come through for them.

Morning all. Very cold here today. :cold:

Karen I wish you lived closer. We need a new pet sitter for our dalmation.

Lily you are going to have such a great time on 2 cruises. I wish we could all come with you .

Julie I hope your leg is feeling better today. I hear those ants can be really nasty.

Amy glad you had a great time at Disney. We watched the food network special the other night and it made me want to go so bad. I think we are leaving in 60 days now for our next trip.

Now that sounds like a vacation Lily! :)

Good morning everyone from the not-so-Sunshine State. It's dreary here today, no sun in sight!! I'm going to spend today busily working on handmade Christmas gifts for some of my family.

Been trying to keep up with all of the reading here and enjoy WDW at the same time - kind of tuff to do. Amy - you were here and I missed you! I've met so many DISers in the past week that I will have to look thru many pics and try to work the memory. It's been a busy but very fun trip - I have my sis and brother-in-law in tow - he just retired and is enjoying his time here but today we are going off property (don't tell my mouse!) to go up to see some car museum in Ocala for him.
I am so glad that I was one of the lucky ones to book onto the next trip and I'll try and catch up with all of you when I get back home in 2 weeks. :moped:

Mary it looks like we will miss you at WDW again. We should be getting in on Friday Dec 16 and leaving for the port on Sunday morning. We will be back at WDW on Friday Dec 23 until the 30th. We will definitely see you sometime during the weekend of Jan 6,7,8.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

OK, you are all so chatty...

I just want to say that if I hadn't gotten on the cruise I would have started a huge e-mail campaign to JL saying how suckey he was personally (NOT. Some people!)... Or, I like this option. I would have taken the 7 day and seen if Icould convince the 38 people in the chat room with us to go on the same cruise and see if we could take over deck 6!!!!.

Seriously, I would have taken DW&DS on the 7 day, or gone twice to WDW next year. It would have been really fun as well...

Oh Well, Must get to work...

:jumping2:

Ooops, I forgot to pay for my air tickets on Sunday... I guess I need to re-book....

:jumping2:

Thanks for the well wishes everyone - the leg's not as swollen today, I'm just glad I don't have plans for the beach for 2 months or I'd be looking pretty ick on the right side.

Lily - 2 cruises back to back - woo hoo that sounds like fun!

I can't believe we have less than 3 weeks till Christmas - boy is time flying now.

So much to do and so little time. :scared:

How on earth am I going to get everything done. I'm pretty set with Walker but poor Cameron only has a couple of things. I haven't a clue as to what to get him -- other than some civil war things that he wrote out that he wanted and won't tell me the site he found them on. My detective skills are not that great as he didn't even leave me item #'s or anything. Cameron might just have to settle for cash, wrapped up in several different boxes -- $1 here, $5 here, $10 here.

I think I'm going to be spending a lot of nap times doing some major wrapping as I haven't even started with that process yet. Gee, for anyone who it's not to late for, did you know that Santa doesn't always wrap every single present. ;) Somehow, Santa has always done that at our house and I'm amazed to find out that's not the case at everyones house.

One of these days, I'm going to pack up and take my family to WDW over Christmas and avoid this whole process. But not until they are a bit older and can appreciate it. Although, Walker did tell someone today that we were going to WDW tonight. :teeth: I guess it's in his blood too. :teeth:

isn't it amazing how Santa wraps at one house but not at others? I have friends who report that Santa never wrapped, but everything came preassembled for immediate play.

Just goes to show just how sneaky Santa can be. :confused3

That was my house as a kid....Santa opened all the boxes and assembled the stuff. He does that here too. Maybe it's a NY thing? :rotfl:
