It is decision time.....
I still do not know what to do.... I am great at talking myself out of anything I want.

I have printed out the deck maps to look at rooms..... I have options written down; BUT UUUGGGHHHH.... I still can't say 100% yes to this. The only real con I can come up with is the $$$$$ due all at once. I will have 3 bonuses paid out by the time the cruise rolls around and this would cover the costs of this trip. BUT they are bonuses and not guaranteed.

This stinks!

as soon as I make my trek home I have to put pen to paper..... AGAIN.

I have not caught up on the last 20 pages yet. Did anyone find out if gratuities were included this year?

Yes, there was someone today who said they confirmed with DVC that tips are included.

I had a couple of questions about the Member Cruise that were answered by LaWanda:

MS will ask all your contact information before checking for room status:
Names
Addresses
phone numbers
member number
CC number (etc. etc.)

They will ask for 3 choices and will go in order when asking DCL for a room assignment

The $75 fee is waved

The gratuities will be included again for this Member Cruise

She did not know if you put the cruise on your Disney Visa if you got 0% interest for 6 months. I am assuming yes because at the end of August we put a DCL deposit down on another cruise date and when our Visa bill arrived it showed the 6 months we have to pay @ 0% interest. I think I will call Disney Visa to find out for sure. I will post again when I get an answer.

Sounds like the CM are prepared. LaWanda told me to make sure I was calling @ 9:00 am EST because the cruise will probably be sold out within a couple of hours.

What restrictions are you getting? I haven't found any restrictions, but I also can't log off this name! Maybe that's my restriction?

No, Andy cancelled the Repo Cruise. It was for a good reason but for the life of me can't remember!

He cancelled the trip because he was helping his Mother with living expenses.

This is the one that hit me the most. Besides my two children, I know for a fact of one person who wouldn't be here today had they not reached out to me when they were at their lowest point in life. Lower than anyone could ever be -- on the verge of suicide. I personally helped this person through her darkest hour and moved on with my life. Fortunately, she moved on with her own -- getting the help that she so desperately needed.

Up until this moment, I knew I helped her through that time, but I never realized the impact that had. WOW!

In that case I doubt it. My Visa Bill shows DCL Cruise Reservations and then it goes under "Qualifying Promotional Financing" on the bill.

I just called MS and she said the credit card will show DVC and not DCL. So, I called back Disney Visa and the man I talked to said the 0% financing could be a possibility depending on how the charge comes through their system. IE. depends on what the explanation is for the charge. He noticed our last deposit for our add-on through DVC went into the 0% for 6 months. He said that was a good sign. He told me to call on Monday to see how the charge came through and if it would qualify for the 0% for 6 months. The Disney Visa folks might be able to word it so the charge would qualify for the 0% for 6 months. I think I will try it just to see what happens. We are only paying cash for DD, so the $645 is no big deal. I thought it might help other DVCers who are paying ALL CASH. Paying for a cruise up front right around the holidays is tough!

I think I chimed in on this a long while back. We are paying DVC, NOT DCL. DVC is doing the cruise as a charter, that means they simply buy out the whole ship then sell the cabins to us.

Unfortunately, I don't think DCL discounts/benefits of any kind will apply.

Thanks for the reply... .YES it is crazy for dalmatians. I have used this signon for years. I have 1 ten year old damnation who still thinks she is 6 months old. Of course she has not been returned from my FIL since our May trip to Disney. I'd say she was a hostage but when e go over there to visit she shows no signs of wanting to leave...... LOL.....

For SSMC05 we paid in full with our Disney Visa - it showed up on our statement as DVC. We also are not entitled to the $50 onboard credit promotion that Disney Visa/DCL are always running. I understand that we are booking through DVC - but aren't they in essence our TA?

Between Christmas, paying the final payment for our cruise in 2 weeks, a weeks stay at WDW after the cruise and booking the Member Cruise - that is going to be one smokin' Visa

Castaway Club Number (if you have cruised with DCL before)


I also have listed our Disney Visa number (don't forget expiration date)

What each of our choices will cost in points and cash (we are doing one of each).

What our current point totals are and which we want to use first (we have both Vero and Boardwalk points)

Getting everything down in writing now has helped me get organized for tomorrow.

Oh, God! It was terrible last cruise!!! *SEVERAL* of the dishes caused me to break out in a dead sleep! Then I noticed extreme swelling in the belly area!
