Not a sore spot at this point, just don't want any misunderstandings about why we really organize the dismeets. And the fact that we're moderators changes nothing in the way we do things or what we expect from others. No apology needed, glad to take a minute and clear that up now instead of later on :)

Now, another thing I should clear up about the website; I just manage it and most of the pages are my handiwork. The photo gallery is entirely Mary's effort. She actually does a bit better using Frontpage than I do hardcoding the rest in raw html :)

OK, Now, Back to the insurance questions...
I called Travelguard, Here is how they compute the cost..
Take the number of points, multiply it by $5 a point. Take 5.15% of this value and that is the basic premium. For the Medical, add $3.65 per person per day.

So, for example a cat 5 room for 2 is 400 points. The insured value is $2000. The premium would be like $103. without the medical...

:jumping2:

Between this and the point chart, you've done a lot of the legwork on info; I'm going to add them to the website properly! :)

Garsh, I apreciate it...

Actually, I am just not afraid to call and ask them... They really don't mind, and when I pass on the info to all of you it makes their job a little easier (except for travelguard, I got the impression that they didn't want me to figure out their formula... I just peppered her with questions until I figured it out and she sheepishly confirmed it.... I am not sure how valuable the Travelguard policy is: I had an issue where there were some fires at DL when I had a trip planned. I wanted to know what my options were. I was told that I had to fly to CA., get diagnosed as having a health risk causing a threat to my life, and then the insurance would kick in... Also, I figure the $5 a point value is a little low.

JMHO,
:jumping2:

And to fully answer your question about the deck 9 drink station. It is no longer just that little island with coffee, milk, tea and a tray of muffins. It is now the equal of the beverage stations at any of the WDW food courts, serves Coke products, coffee, tea, milk, water, Lemonade, Fruit Punch. There are additional stations along the wall outside the entrance to the aft lifts/buffet, and at the end of the buffet lines.

A very good cruise tip is to go to a sports store and get some of those wider mouth sport bottles and fill them with ice and top up with water from the drink station instead of schlepping on your own bottled waters.

Hey, didn't I read that in the Passporter somewhere? ;) :teeth:

One more question for the mommies... When do I need to make Ian's arrangements for Flounders, and Are we planning any Dis-Baby Meets.....

For Castaway Club members, we were able to reserve 8 hours of Flouders per child 90 days out online. I'm guessing it will be the same this time around. Once you are onboard, you can book additional time. That's what we did. We had early dinner, and booked 8-10 every night online. When we got onboard, I went to Flounders and changed it to 11pm. :rolleyes1 There were literally only a handful of under 3 kids on SSMC05.

That's our plan again this year too. It will only be Madison in Flounder's, since Emily is in the Club. But, we're hoping to get at least each night and then maybe brunch at Palo, since we missed it last time. And, this time, I'm hoping that Madison doesn't get sick, where we had to cancel the rest of our Flounder's ressies.

Yeah especially since your private pediatrician won't be sailing with us.

I know, what am I going to do now?!?!?!? I need my private pediatrician, and they're not going!! :sad2:

Oh my goodness!
Everyone was a chatty cathy today!
I had like 5 pages to read to get caught up!

I agree that there are no bosses, we all seem to use the boards as a collective pool of questions and answers. (and a little chit chat on the side)
As a newbie on the SSMC05 I found the boards invaluable.

Quite the comedian, aren't you?? Only about 11,000 posts worth of chit-chat. :rotfl2:

I wonder where this thread will lead? :teeth:

I would love to get in on this!!! With 3 kids 6 and under, I could us a 24/7 ped at my fingertips! :rotfl2:

Oh Brunch at Palo sounds awesome - is this traditionally only the day at Sea? We liked Palo yet felt we missed out at dinner that night so we'll prob not go at night but try for brunch.

Palos brunch is the BEST!

DH and I have decided that if we can get a cabin on the member cruise then we are going! :goodvibes We will use points for 2 adults and pay cash for DD. We just used points for the Disneyland Hotel and will be going back to California for my birthday. We will use points for the Grand Californian in January. DH wants to use points to stay Conciege at the Sonoma Mission Inn this summer. We added on but have so many travel plans that we will still need to use some cash for the Member cruise.

:sunny: Which decks are the most desirable?

That's too broad a question to give you a good answer for - The decks tend to go by the category of stateroom. What categories were you looking at?

:sunny: Is there internet access in the staterooms?
Not at this time. They have three fixed points with machines to use, One in a general area lounge, one in a teen only area and one in an adults only area. They also have Wifi for your own personal device that is expensive, separate from the machines to use and in limited public areas.

:sunny: Which decks are the most desirable? Depends on what Catagory. The highest catagories are all on deck 8.... 1 deck down from the pool deck.... Deck 5 and 6 are near the kids clubs....
:sunny: Is there internet access in the staterooms?
NO
