Sounds like a lot of us around here. I think that Emily is the only one past it now. Maddie and I still have a lingering cough and runny nose and Chris is just in the beginning of it. All I can say is YUCK!!

Good Morn, er afternoon all! You guys are NUTS being awake @ 6am on a Saturday!! (This is because I'm usually awake @ 4:30am on workdays - off today  )

DW - Karen (aka:4Gus-Gus&Figaro) thanks all and one (as do I) for the warm wishes. She owns a pet sitting business :cat: and is out taking care of client critters while the humans are off w/family. She promises to catch up by Sunday night.

So much happening this week - ick. :hourglass

Happy Birthday David!!! :cake:

:thewave: :bday: :thewave:
Happy Birthday Dave!

Hey gang. chat was fun last night for what little time I was there. I was just all tuckered out from the mad cap shopping in the morning!
You'll never guess who I ran into today at JoAnn's store this moring.
If you guessed Diana you're right. Mom & I saw Diana with Bruce and the girls in tow. I also ran into the great lady who runs the crops that I go to and love so much!
I just couldn't resist using the 50% off coupon and the sale they had on paper, 6 for 96 cents. I got 36 sheets, a paper holder and a sizzlet holiday set.

Gosh, Karen, I wish you lived here. We certainly could keep you busy with our "zoo". :teeth:

Thanks for posting this over here Mary! I was happy to add some ornaments to his tree! :flower:

Good morning everyone! Slept in today and boy did that feel good. We're going to finish up the inside decorating. Hopefully we'll get the outside as well but that depends on the weather - raining now.

Gee not raining here.... lol'

We are doing outside decorations today rain or shine!! Coz the inside is almost done...

I am still adding things here and there, but this is the gist of it. This is my first year decorating the 'new' house, so things are kinda mish mashed and unfolding slower than normal.

Our Stairs, when you first walk in....

That's it so far....

You decorations are great Laura. I'd be too embarrassed to post my tree. The bottom 3 feet aren't decorated, so I have about 15-20 ornamets all crammed up top. :rotfl2: Plus the tree has a sophisticated apparatus tying it to the ceiling to the back wall. :rotfl2: :rotfl: I'm thinking the year after next I'll be able to go all out decorating again. By then Emma will be 4 and Julia will be 3 and they'll understand the tree isn't to climb in and throwing ornaments makes mommy very very mad.

So far my 2 1/2 BOY hasnt monkeyied with much. He has learned a new phrase though... NO TOUCHING!!! He says it, sticks his hands in his pockets, chin down, and pouts. My older girls, now they keep touching everything!!! Drives me nuts. I tell them these are decorations NOT TOYS, big difference.

ANd I have my expensive (some as much as $100) ones on top, and mass produced orniments on the bottom, so If one of them breaks, say la vie! ANd the kids tree is all plastic for the most part.... (all/for the most part... ugh more caffine is needed) Lots of Disney princesses and such....

Neither tree is tied down for safety... I asked DH to do it, but he didnt... lol If we had cats, for sure they would be tied (been there, done that) but I think the kids understand not to mess with the trees... I know I have yelled it 147,367 times so far..... lol

So far so good, but then again it has only been up for a couple of days!!!

Laura, your tree & house look awesome. A lot of work went into all those decorations. I bet your exhausted! :faint:

Here's a picture of our tree this year. Each year it's different. My favorite ornaments are the ones that the kids have made. I could use only them and be happy with the results. I've never been able to finagle ribbon, so we use white and red poinsettias which have been removed from the stem to accent the treee.

We haven't finished decorating yet. The Disney stocking are up but we need to finish everything else. I'll post a picture when it's done.

And, Diana, I don't see what the problem with decorating the tree with the girls around. I have many more little ankle biters around here and never seem to have a problem (of course, the tree is in my family room which they don't go in ;) ).

Off to play PlayStation2 with Walker. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: OMG, it's so hard.....I don't know how the kids can do it with ease. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Opps
Anyway, your trees are amazing.
I havent even thought about putting ours up.
Thanks for the pictures.

Hey Kids, Just popping in to wish you all good luck in getting your requests fulfilled on call in day. Sorry we won’t be making this Member cruise as we are saving the point for another adventure. Enjoy and keep those dialing fingers and redial features well till the big day.

Oh Cindy, your tree is so awesome and special! You are absolutely right, the best ornaments are the ones that are homemade with love!

My ornaments are all super expensive, so I'm afraid to hang them! I didn't realize that until I had kids....so what's the point?? This year, I just have Hallmark Disney ornaments that I've gotten through the years. All my glass Disney ones are up in the attic (the whole tree was Disney). Don't get me wrong, the girls haven't touched the tree at all, and both of them seem ok with the no touching rule. I just don't feel comfortable leaving them in the room for 1 second if there is a chance of them getting hurt with some sort of breakable ornament, so I'm being overly cautious! Big surprise from me. :rotfl: And I just HAD to put it in the family room as opposed to the living room where no one ever goes. I wanted to enjoy the tree, so I can live with only a couple of ornaments.
