Well, my family is finally on the mend. Emily seems to be 100% again. Maddie still has a lingering cough and runny nose, but it seems to be almost gone. I'm in the same boat as Madison. Hopefully this will be done by the end of the Thanksgiving weekend.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Amy - glad to hear you and the girls are starting to feel better.

Cindy - that would be wonderful if we all get in quickly on the 3rd. At least based on the member reception I don't think we'll have too much competition in the Chicago area. :rotfl2:

So when are all your MI people going to host a meet so we can come crash!

Speaking of Michigan people, Gail good luck with the craft show this weekend. :goodvibes

Imagine how much time you'll have when it's over!! :cheer2:

I felt the same way, but changed my mine when I saw it last night.

And, talking about jinxing ourselves. I cancelled the 2006 Thanksgiving cruise we had booked in hopes of getting on the SSMC06. Our plan is now that if we can't get through, we are going to cross all our toes and fingers and pray that the waitlist comes through. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

But, we are all going to get through. Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to post at 9:05 a.m. that we are booked!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:thewave:

Like Amy, I'll put my SSMC06 logo in on 12/3 after I get booked. I'm starting to get nervous! When I cancelled the 11 night I though I was jinxing myself then, but then I thought no way could I spend 11 nights in the teeenniiieee room with my 2 kids. :rotfl2: So if, God forbid, we don't make it on SSMC06, we decided to go for the 7 night Double Scoop. And if I hit the Mega Millions....we'll do both! :rotfl2:

12/3 is certainly going to be a fun day!

Would you be referring to Our Lady of the Mount?

Hi this is Curt - 4GusGus&Figaro is my better half.

Karen finally locked me to a computer and talked me through the maze of subscribing to individual threads.

To shed light on my innocent :rotfl2: youth I grew up in the 1400 block of Harvey Ave (1409 actually) and went to St. Frances of Rome (When they still had a REAL church). Karen and I were in Chicago just a couple of weeks ago and it really depressed me to see that gothic, old chuch now just a parking lot.

As Karen stated there is A LOT going on at work, so my surfing time has been greatly curtailed. Now that I am subscribed to the thread I will at least get the e-mail alerts.

See you in September 06

Quote: He didn't seem to remember the "Svenghoolie" (sorry 'bout possible misspelling!) guy. He did mumble something about Bozo (who we also watched here in Detroit), and some guy who gave the Bears' scores in the morning...

Karen
My wife is a Bohemian -

(1) There was only ONE REAL BOZO and
(2) RAY RAYNOR on WGN (before it was a "superstation"). Cartoons in the morning and scores for Slippery Rock College

Hi Curt, Welcome to our universe. We will endeavor to keep you entertained and informed about the member's cruise.

Welcome to the group, Curt!!! We're glad that you're here. Post when you can!

Welcome Curt! I know where St. Frances of Rome is - not far from my old stomping grounds. I went to Ascension in Oak Park. Lived on the 1000 block of Clarence - not far from Rhem pool.

If you know Bozo and Ray Rayner than you also know two holiday favorites.

Suzy Snowflake and Hardrock, Coco and Joe!

Hope you pop in from time to time - we love meeting new people!

I just had an evil thought... I have this song stuck in my head... Want it???

It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friendship to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

:jumping2:

Hi Curt....welcome to the group.

You are right, there is really only one Bozo. Bob Bell it will always be. :cool1:

Hey, that song came up on our last SSMC thread. And, it's still stuck in my head from then.

Come to think of it, Mike and Lisa haven't posted as to whether they are going to try for this cruise....does anyone keep in contact with them? They were another couple from Michigan, if I remember correctly. MikeM861 or something close to that, wasn't it?
