Gary, I think I'll work up an exercise regime for Cindy so that next time she'll walk all over the competition!! :cheer2:

Sounds like a plan Stacy ::yes::

You got that right Gary!
I challenged Squid & any one else who wanted to a Creme Brulee eating contest so unrolling some toilet paper is a piece of cake!

Hold on now Stacy and back up - what's the deal with the Creme Brulee :goodvibes ?

Some how on the SSMC05 thread people started talking about how they LOVED the Creme Brulee and one thing led to another and I threw down the gaintlet that I could out eat any challengers. Well people were all talk on the thread but no one challenged me while on the ship.
(I think I scared everyone away when I mentioned the jello eating contest I won at Cub Scout camp this past summer) :rotfl:

Yes but did you manage to get it delivered to your table every night? We did with the help of the shy boys (John, Steve and Dale). :)

I'll admit I did have Creme Brulee but I did try some other desserts on the ship. And might I add they were all FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's hope the next one is in Michigan - that's close enough to drive especially to go see friends :)

There do seem to be a fair amount of Michigan people... Who knew? I've been trying to keep up with everybody, even started taking notes (which I think Laura suggested), but I'm still a bit overwhelmed. So... Who all is a Michigander??? :cold:

Would you be referring to Our Lady of the Mount?

Honestly, I'm not sure of the name of the school. I'll ask him when he wakes up. I told him about all of the posts concerning his hometown, and suggested he read them. I don't think that he did, though. He's not anti-social, we're just going through a great deal right now. Not a whole-lot of happy here, I'm afraid... :sad2: He didn't seem to remember the "Svenghoolie" (sorry 'bout possible misspelling!) guy. He did mumble something about Bozo (who we also watched here in Detroit), and some guy who gave the Bears' scores in the morning... :confused3

Sorry things are messy by you right now.

That some guy would be Ray Rayner, was kind of a lead in to the old Bozo show. He spent a lot of time being chased by a duck. And you did good on spelling- it's Svengoolie, I think.

OMG, the 2006 cruise logo just turned green. :cool1: :cool1:

I was holding out adding it to my signature until I was definately booked. I think I've changed my mind. :teeth: :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks. I wanted to make the logo unique to the Dis and that seemed the easiest way. I am going to go thru and clean up the member2005 stuff and fiddle with that logo to match.

HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING DAY.

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep. I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The turkey beckoned -- the dark meat and white, but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees "Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please!"

May your stuffing be tasty, May your turkey be plump; May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump;

May your yams be delicious, May your pies take the prize; May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Umm, Stacy, you might have met your match. I'll let Gary tell you what his nickname was before I met him and why. :rotfl2:

Karen, whatever your going through, I hope it gets better. :goodvibes

Here's something to tell your DH from personal experience. It may not seem like it now, but my DH Garfield, very rarely posted before the cruise. Look at him now, he's posting almost as much as me. :cheer2:

Our weather has taken a turn towards winter around here. Snow on the ground again today. I think I'm going to have to wear something other than my Crocs today. The holes are perfect size for snow to get inside of them (can you tell I'm speaking from experience?).

Yoohoo, Diana!! I thought you were going to keep that snow in your neck of the woods. :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: I'm all for sharing, but somethings are a bit much. ;)

Ahh, Ray Rayner. Not a happy memory for me. We lived in the same town as him until I was in 3rd grade. We ran into him at a store and being kids, we got all excited. I'll never forget the lack of acknowledgement on his part. Never even looked at us or gave us any type of recognition. I tell you, after that, I never looked at him in the same light. :guilty: :guilty:

Chelveston was the duck. :)

So... Who all is a Michigander???

You are right, there are quite a few people from MI. We live in Marysville. I'm not sure why we live here in the cold. The snow is on its way today. :cold:

I am holding out on putting the 2006 logo until we are officially in. I sure hope so. :cool1:

I'm the same way!! I don't want to jinx myself by putting the new logo in my signature. But, you can guarantee that it will be there as soon as I'm done with MS on 12/3.

Well, my family is finally on the mend. Emily seems to be 100% again. Maddie still has a lingering cough and runny nose, but it seems to be almost gone. I'm in the same boat as Madison. Hopefully this will be done by the end of the Thanksgiving weekend.

I felt the same way, but changed my mine when I saw it last night.

And, talking about jinxing ourselves. I cancelled the 2006 Thanksgiving cruise we had booked in hopes of getting on the SSMC06. Our plan is now that if we can't get through, we are going to cross all our toes and fingers and pray that the waitlist comes through. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

But, we are all going to get through. Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to post at 9:05 a.m. that we are booked!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
