Amy you were one of the lucky ones. We got in about 9:30 I think. I was a wreck for that 1/2 hour! :)
I don't think I got on until 9:45. I still remember how I had a houseguest that weekend, and she was so understanding! She just hung out in the kitchen, drinking tea and reading the paper, while I was on the phone by the computer, talking to all of you in chat!

I just remember being almost giddy inside when we were confirmed and done.
Almost giddy??? ALMOST??? I will be doing mental backflips once our ressie is locked in!!!

For those of you who got on later.... what catagory did you book? And was that your first choice??

ALso did the phone ring and ring, or did it pick up and put you on hold with music?? Oh and did they have the recording.... "your wait time will be 2 hours 15 minutes" ??? LOL

Well, I think that I was just SO relieved to actually be on the ship that it just didn't matter. Then, I spent the next hour or 2 on chat waiting while everyone else got in.

Chat on booking morning was great fun. Especially once we got in.

In addition to Mark's update on the website I've started the photo gallery page. Now we'll be ready to go once everyone gets booked!

It did pick up and play music. I don't remember it saying your hold time will be # minutes.

When I woke up call in morning last year, we weren't coming on SSMC05. :rotfl2: :rotfl: Then I had a change of heart and started to call in. I want to say I didn't start calling in until 10am, I waited for a while, but really not that long, maybe a half hour, 45 minutes.....singing along with the music the whole time!

Mary you do realize that your houseguest was thinking "What a crackpot that Mary is?" She keeps dialing the phone over and over and typing to her "imaginary" cruise friends, :rotfl2:

That is too funny!

I am looking forward to the morning chat. I will have 3 lines going, and DH is going to help me... but he dosent know it yet... LOL

Hello all :teeth:
Well, after another day of cleaning up Wilma debris yesterday... we were rewarded with the DVC invite. Unfortunately Joe (DH) read the teeny tiny wording on the back that includes the info that the Vista Spa will not be available... he shouted "What the %&*#!" (in a not very Disney like manner...) and is NOT happy that the spa will not be available. To the point where he doesn't really even want to go now.
HELP!!!!
What can I do to convince him that he really won't miss the spa that much?? We LOVE the spa and the rainforest room and I can't imagine taking a Disney Cruise without it! But it's really only 3 days of actually missing the spa... sailaway day and debarkation day don't count because you really don't get a full day of usage. Right?? :confused3
Since he is not a true DIS person like I am... the activities etc with the DIS won't be enough to convince him..... I need ammunition!

Hi Leslie! Will the two days on CC help entice him? The new Stingray adventure, the jet skis, the cabanna massages.

Also what about the special events DVC seems to come up with. On the last one we had shows with Ducky Williams, Art Linkletter and Susan Egan. Who knows what wonderful things they will have in store for SSMC06. Oh and there are plenty of special pins - I know you guys like pins!

Hey Leslie what about using the spa services at SSR the day before the cruise and on Thursday when you guys get back? Since we will be at CC for two days, you could plan something for at least one of those days. You won't be able to use the rainforest with either of these plans, but really with what DCL plans for a cruise and then the DVC extras on top of it there isn't a whole lot of extra time. When we cruised DCL (not Member's Cruise) we did find time to use the spa, but on both Member's Cruises we didn't have time to fit spa activities in.

With call day just weeks away when will prices be released? Surely they will with days to spare?

I know what you mean.
I know someone called M.S. and got the info but I want to see it on the DVC site to make it official.

Hey all, I know, it is a tough waiting game... I am curious, are any of you planning any all night Crops? RRBB loves scrap booking, and might leave me one night with the baby. It would actually be better a few days before the cruise, that way you can mail all of your materials back home...

:jumping2:

Several questions:

When we book on Dec 3 we pay all at that time right?

Then sometime after they will release the point values and we can convert to points and receive a cc refund?

If at the time of converting to a points payment it is 2006, then we can use 2006 points as well as borrowing from 2007?

How close up until the cruise do we have to convert to a points payment?

Thanks so much for any responses.

We got our "invite" in the mail yesterday.

We've been agonizing over this decision, mostly because we're already booked on a Double Dip on September 16th, 2006. When we got the invite, I started bouncing around (a real treat for the neighbors, since I was outside raking leaves...). My DH calmly asks, "Which one do you want to go on?". I answer, "Boowwthhh...". And he answers, "Okay!". Okay??? OKAY ??? In other words... Member Cruise, here we come!!! pirate:

We can't afford the cash right now, so we'll be doing points. We need to cut a day off of a couple of our planned trips to free up enough points, but I think that it'll be worth it. ::yes::

I'd like to join the "Member Cruise Play Group", if I may... :flower3:

Yes, whether you book on points or cash, you pay all on Dec 3rd.

I have listed the points/cash chart below that someone got from MS. You will need to decide on Dec 3rd how you're paying.

There is no converting of cash to points, if you're going to pay points, you can bank/borrow as needed on Dec 3rd.

See above answer, conversion not needed.

No, the points info isn't up on the website yet, but I believe it was ohanafamily that called member services and was able to get the points/cash info.

Here's the info from their post WAY back:

OOOOOOhhh, I called Member services... to ask your question. They have the point info...
As of 11/15, MS has said that NO point/cash chart is accurate until posted on the DVC website.

Karen - welcome aboard. The more people coming the better. We had a great group on the 2005 thread and one group of us really got to know each other. Some people will post once or twice. Some people will post now and then. Some people will post all the time. All are welcome but I've found with past threads that the more people post and get ot know each other the better time they will have on the actual cruise.
