Well we have been pretty much on the go since CP. Now we get to slow down a bit. Jeff doesn't have to travel for work again for another two weeks which is nice after almost 2 weeks of being gone. We did the Renaissance Fest in Sterling NY this past weekend. It was ok. Not really worth a special trip in my opinion but now I can say we have done it. We went for the weekend with 2 other families but it was NOTHING like traveling with you guys. We were in our room by 10pm!!!:scared1: No alcohol or conversation in the hallway and ny security man saying he can't believe we are still awake at 2am. Yea just not the same.

I'm surprised that the security guy at the CP hotel never said anything to us about sitting and drinking in the hallway. Pretty cool!

This will be a pretty quiet weekend for me - John's leaving for North Carolina tomorrow morning. Hey, didn't we just get back from there???

Mary - love the picture of Allison! What a sweet baby.

Erin are you thinking of buying into Fairfield - let us know how it goes. I love Myrtle Beach.

Stacy, I'm glad things are settling down a bit. It sounds like a couple of really rough and busy weeks. I'm glad that's all over for now.

We are going to Myrtle Beach next weekend to stay in a Fairfield Timeshare for our trial membership with them.... I am doing nothing but sit my BUTT on the beach.

SO here is why we have been MIA lately... Rich got rooked into coaching soccer for the year which then makes me the team manaager. :confused3

We have 4 practices in the next week because we are out of town the week before the first game. This should be interesting.

Enjoy Myrtle Beach, Erin. Your going to need to relax with that upcoming soccer season. :beach:

I love how you say that Rich "volunteered" for the coaching job. :rolleyes1 And, why does that automatically make you the team manager? Shouldn't someone else have a chance at that job?

Gary's not involved in soccer or football :cheer2: , other than to be a parent on the sidelines. I'm going to sponsor their football team, so that's my contribution. I don't envy either of you with the work ahead. Good luck with all of that.

Mary - I love the picture of Allison - isn't it nice to start the little ones off with dreams of Mickey!!!

Belated wishes for your birthday John - hope it was a great one!

Seems like everyone's been very busy this summer - hope you can all enjoy what's left of it - boy, it's going by fast.

Leaving in a week for the airport for my flight over to Barcelona so I won't be around for a while on the boards - not sure if I'll post from the ship this time - the wireless internet sure was messed up last time - but if I get a chance to pop on and say hello, rest assured that I will.

Gail,

I will let you know about Wyndham/Fairfield. We are also staying at Bonnet Creek the week of Thanksgiving and are booked for Destin, FL at Spring Break right now.... The trial plan we got was 189,000 points

MB 4 nights
BC 3 nights
FL 3 nights

One thing with them is that you have x # of housekeeping credits for the your points Rich said we had to buy 35 bucks worth of credits for Destin.
Rich is looking all the time for a cheap resale contract..... Like in Branson, MO they are really cheap and have low maintenance fees..... then go where ever. Rich has been pleased with the reservatioin system as well.

Happy Sunday! :surfweb:

Cindy,

Congratulations on your purchase of the football team.

I wish it was a professional team, not a 7 year old flag football team. I'd take all of you on a cruise if I had that kind of money. Sadly, my financial contribution is only $150, right in my price range, so we'll just have to meet up another time when everyone is on their own. :hippie:

We survived our garage sale. The people came in spurts and we didn't end up closing until later in the afternoon. People even came after the signs were out of the ground, not sure how they found us, but they did. We made about $400, not bad, but I'm not sure it's something I hope to get into again, as they are a lot of work. My van is packed to the gills, the resale shop opens at 12 and Gary will be up there donating all the extras. Profits go to battered woman and children, so it's a good cause!

The two "highlights" of the day? We had our two rabbits out there for sale. Cameron's white one sold just about right away. Walker's little brown one was still waiting for a new home (and still is) when a family came up and said to him "we'd love to cook this for dinner". :headache: :sad2: :scared:  :confused3 :crazy2:  I didn't hear the comment, but from that point on, Walker was saying "I don't want to sell my rabbit". So, we have the rabbit here still, which doesn't solve our problem of needing a pet sitter next time we go on vacation. I didn't hear that comment, or I would have decked that family for sure. The other rabbit went to a family with 2 pre-teen girls who were so excited to get him, calling him by name before they even loaded him in the car. :thumbsup2

The other "highlight" was about the same rabbit. I came inside for just a minute, during which a lady said to Gary & Cameron that she paid me for the rabbits. Good thing that Gary was explaining to her how to feed it and care for it because he stalled this lady long enough so that she couldn't load the rabbit and take off. I come out of the house and Cameron says "the lady is taking the rabbit". I'm like, she paid you for it, Cameron says "no, she said she paid you". Nope, she didn't pay me, I asked Gary, did she pay you? Nope. Walker, did she pay you, Nope! As soon as she saw me, ironically, she got in her car and drove away. I can't believe someone was going to rip off my kids and our rabbit like that. I tell you, it takes all kinds!

Today I'm finishing my cards so they can get in the mail to Amy! Gary has to work on his PTA stuff, so he's anxious to get my scrapbooking stuff back out so he can make a poster for Information Night tomorrow. Yep, Gary is the chairman of a committee for our Reflections Projects this year. He's already wondering if he's taken on a little more than he should have. At least he's not the "Secretary" as they were recruiting him for just before elections as something tells me that would have been even a bigger job.

Enjoy your day. I hope the :sunny: comes out. It's rather overcast and dreary around here today.

Oh! How could I have forgotten to add.

We now have a new addition to the family. Again, I'm not sure how this happened, but Walker is now the proud owner of a corn snake. :scared1: Mommy mentioned that if both rabbit sold, he could get one. Somehow or another, Walker missed the "BOTH" part and took Gary shopping yesterday afternoon.

I won't be around for feeding time! :scared:

Glad to hear the garage sale went ok. I can't believe that lady was going to "steal" the rabbit. Are you that desperate you need to try to steal one from a garage sale!?:confused3
Not sure what a corn snake looks like but I'm glad it's not in my house. Our two cats are needy enough without having any type of other animal in the house.

Our weekend so far has been kind of quiet. We went to a birthday party yesterday for my friend's daughter who turned 2. Now I need to shop for a birthday present for next weekend for another birthday party we are going to, you all may know the birthday girl, the lovely Emma Craig. Nick will probably be the oldest kid there.:rotfl:

I know her! princess: princess: princess: princess:

We also got an invite, but we can't make it. :( If I could get really cheap airfare, it would be a cool weekend trip, but I can't imagine driving that far on Friday night and coming back on Sunday night.

Urggg! I didn't get an invite?!?!?!? :confused3

Maybe next year?!?!?!?!? :rotfl2:

Well, someone's mailman is a slacker. (I'm gonna guess mine) Check your mail tomorrow, it was sent out last week!!

And don't worry, it's just you and me and the girls for J's bday, so we'll do some good celebrating all on our own!!

I'm impressed. :cool1: :cool1:

Who knew there were all those different kinds of peppers :confused3

Me neither! Guess that's part of why you and I don't cook.

My families on their way for dinner. How far of a drive is it? :dance3:
