We're back - Dawn is all settled in - well, except her mattress isn't going to be delivered until Tuesday, but she'll survive. She's renting a room from a girl who's parents purchased a 2 bdrm 2 1/2 bath townhouse condo for her to live in. It's very nice and most of their neighbors are senior citizens. That should keep the parties down. :thumbsup2

Gail, I can't imagine how hard it must be to have Dawn so far away.

I am glad she's settled in and in a place where she's going to feel comfortable. Do you think that parents of the other girl knew what they were doing when they bought the condo in a neighborhood with senior citizens as neighbors. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

We had an elderly man living across the street from us for many, many years, and I always felt like it was his mission to keep track of my comings and goings, to the point where he watched us carry in our bags of groceries and could have counted them. I wanted to wave to him as I walked in and out of the house but never had the nerve to do that. It sure seemed like he enjoyed the entertainment, so hopefully those around Dawn and her roommate will keep a watch on them. :thumbsup2

I don't like the changes to the dining plan but I do hope it means we go back to being able to obtain reservations a bit more easily at the sit down restaurants... now its so hard.

Erin, you can official welcome us to the neighborhood! :dance3:

Congratulations Cindy and Gary!!!

Congratulations Emily on the spirit stick!!!

Congratulations Tim and Tina on the add-on!!!

Congratulations to MAry and Karen for the upcoming cruises and have a great time on them!!!

That was the first thing I thought of. I'm not crazy about the changes myself, but we've only done the dining plan once as a family, and being FL residents, it's not going to be appealing to us. I really think making people pay the tip OOP and no appetizer is going to finally give some relief to getting those ADRs!!!

If it doesn't stop raining around here soon, I'm going to be tearing my hair out! :headache:

We're on day 4 of being stuck home, well, not really, we went to the mall yesterday for lunch (and I took all the kids to the new dvc preview center -- they loved being able to jump on all the bed --- just kidding :rotfl2: ). We have had no outside play all week! :sad2: It started out being over 100 degrees with the heat index and then rainstorm after rainstorm. We even threw in a tornado warning yesterday afternoon. Right now it looks clear outside, but they are predicting rain again this morning. I wonder if my neighbors would mind if we played outside at 7:30 a.m. - we couldn't be any louder than the poor dog who has to live outside 24 hours day next door. :rolleyes1

Cameron & I were talking, last summer it seems we went threw a tornado warning around this time, maybe it was September. Between that, the microburst we had earlier this summer and yesterday, I'm beginnning to wonder if we are living in the new tornado alley. I certainly hope not.

Somehow or another, I got talked into and agreed to having a garage sale. We have so much stuff out there that we don't use, enough to fill the one car side of our garage to the ceiling. I know I'll never get it all priced for Saturday, but we'll get rid of what we can. I personally hate to go to garage sales where nothing is priced, so I'm thinking of doing a box marked at say $1 and everything for $1 inside the box. Kind of a pot luck. :rotfl: Dig and you might find a surprise. Even if we get rid of a couple of the big items, it will be great. Walker is beyond himself with excitement. I hope he feels that way on Saturday. :rolleyes1

I triple dog dare you to go post that over on the DVC boards. I love seeing people get all bent out of shape over stuff like that. :lmao:

Cindy...could you send some of that rain south? My grass crunches when you walk on it, and Ken has taken to running the hose at the base of our pecan tree for fear we won't have pecans in the fall.

We're going to have a yard sale sometime soon too. We had originally planned to have it on July 28th, had it marked on the calendar and everything! Then Allison was born on the 25th, and plans changed. Good thing Ken forgot to take the add to the paper for me or people would have been showing up to an empty yard!;)

Mary, that is an awesome picture in your signature. princess:

Could you imagine!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: It would be kind of fun to watch, wouldn't it! :lmao:

Man, I would just make myself a pitcher of margaritas and sit back and watch it all night long!!

Mary, your new signature pic is absolutely adorable!!

 Happy Belated Birthday John!!!!

Cindy - sounds like you have some crazy weather. Luckily it's been pretty calm around here for a bit.

Mary - I love your new siggie pick. Dreaming of vacations to came?

Well we have been pretty much on the go since CP. Now we get to slow down a bit. Jeff doesn't have to travel for work again for another two weeks which is nice after almost 2 weeks of being gone. We did the Renaissance Fest in Sterling NY this past weekend. It was ok. Not really worth a special trip in my opinion but now I can say we have done it. We went for the weekend with 2 other families but it was NOTHING like traveling with you guys. We were in our room by 10pm!!!:scared1: No alcohol or conversation in the hallway and ny security man saying he can't believe we are still awake at 2am. Yea just not the same.

Cindy is our neighbor!

Congrats on the addon.

What can we plan for 2009... I know I will have plenty of points and vacation time available!:thumbsup2

Stacy - I know exactly what you mean. This is the first weekend in 2 months we did not have anything planned. SO I am going to finish those cards that I started in JUNE!!!!!!! So much for being ahead of the game.

We are going to Myrtle Beach next weekend to stay in a Fairfield Timeshare for our trial membership with them.... I am doing nothing but sit my BUTT on the beach.

SO here is why we have been MIA lately... Rich got rooked into coaching soccer for the year which then makes me the team manaager. :confused3

We have 4 practices in the next week because we are out of town the week before the first game. This should be interesting.
