It hopefully will be just me and John. Yeah, I've read that the crowd seems to be older on Princess and Celebrity. We've cruised with RCL twice (3rd time this November) and have been very happy with them. Once they get back to me about what ship will be making the voyage during that time, we'll make our decision. Celebrity does the one way cruises - leaving from Hawaii and ending in Ensenda or reversed. We really enjoy the time on the ship so that's whay we were looking at the RT cruises. It's still all up in the air at this point.

I am looking to get a group booking together for an Alaska Cruise for Summer of 2008. Most of the cruiselines I have spoken with should have the rest of their 2008 schedule out by April or May. Have fun planning!

DH and I decided we wanted to stay on one island this time instead of a cruise. So, we will be in Maui for a week this summer. Should be fun!

Robin: when are you coming again?

My moving issues should be settled this week.( Yay Finally!)

If anyone is planning a meet Todd and I would probably come. Just post or send a PM.

Robin: when are you coming again?
Unfortunately - at least I think so - not until the night of Saturday, October 27. That just seems so far away, though we'll have a very full "schedule" come mid-May. Plus we've done NOTHING to prepare for Squirt's arrival so I know we'll be quite busy until it's time to get on the plane.

I sure hope y'all are available to get together some time the week we're there, though. It would be so nice to see you - and anyone else that may be around WDW - again.

Welcome back Mary and Mark!!!

Stacy - Nick looks great with the braces. Sory about the spelling bee. It's real tough to be in front of the whole school with that kind of pressure on you. He should be proud of how well he did to get to that point.

Congrats to Brooke and Jessica!!!

Congrats to Madison on her 1st day of school!!! She looks adorable in those pictures.

Sorry to hear about the confusing/changing thread name. Really though, it's just not that all important in the grand scheme of things.

Mary - Sorry last Thursday was so crazy and hectic.

Amy - I know I'm late with this but Boma's serves Bobotie and it's one of the best items on that buffet. Glad to hear it came out so good!

Ilene - I'm all for meeting up in April. My parent and Casey will be down for Spring Break April 22-27. The only night we have dinner plans is April 22 at Tony's.

Karen - The Red Sox game was standing room only at 10:15AM Saturday morning. I tried to get a ticket but was told this so I bought one for yesterday's Mets game instead. I'm looking forward to the Lakeland meet and am happy your trip wasn't cancelled.

Roxann - I can't wait until the Lakeland meet. Also, I may be ineterested in Alaska 2008 for both/either my parents and/or myself.

Hi everyone! Catching up on stuff around my own home - finally and decided I'm hitting the road at the end of the week.

I'll finish up the CJs I got before I take off tho. It really is getting to be fun to relive the trip thru everyone's pictures.

Karen - I may need to contact you about pet sitting since my kids and I are going on a cruise the beginning of May. I was invited to dinner by Chris but went out with my son and his wife that night - we haven't had much time together and we wanted to talk about the upcoming cruise - okay, I wanted to talk about it.
Anyway, I'm glad you're getting to go down and cheer the Tigers on to a new great season!

Gail - that sounds like it could really be a heavenly trip - cruising to Hawaii. You two would have so much fun!

Well, I'm off to run errands and still trying to catch up around here since I've been so busy with the lil' guy. It's nice to get things back in order.

Good morning everyone!!! Well, it is afternoon now, isn't it?? Oh well!!! Good afternoon everyone!!!

Jeff - it's nice to see you around a bit. I need to get Robin & Rochelle's CJs to you. Let me know your plans, or I'll just put them in the mail to you.

On Sunday, March 25 there will be a group of DISers attending the Tigers-Yankees game in Lakeland, FL. After the game there will be a group gathering for dinner at CDB’s on Memorial Boulevard. The time has not been decided yet. I’m figuring the game should be over between 3:30 and 4:00PM, yesterday’s game was over just before 3:30. After the game anyone who wants to “run the bases” can and that takes about 10 minutes because there is a line and they space it out so the little kids have a chance without getting bumped into. Because of these post game events I figure we shouldn’t meet at CDB’s until about 5PM. Also, if anyone would rather go somewhere else please say so. CDB’s is an Italian restaurant that sounds similar to what Gino’s is in Chicago. I have never been but it sounds a little nicer than Palace Pizza that’s in downtown Lakeland (a good place for pizza and Italian food but it’s counter service). It sounds like it’s a sit-down place that’s similar to Pizza hut but a lot nicer.

For those attending the game, I thought we could meet up at my place and I’ll PM or email you directions. I live about 5 minutes or less depending on the two lights between my apartment and Tigertown. Parking lot opens at 9AM and gates to go in the stadium at 11AM. Game time is 1:05PM. I was told when I picked up the tickets that it will be a zoo on Yankees day and to arrive as early as possible. Saturday for the Boston game the lot was pretty full around 10:15-10:30 and it was mostly Red Sox fans. And we are in the sunny section so lots of sunscreen will be necessary.

That is earlier than I thought. I have the rental car pick-up scheduled for 10:00 am. What time do you think we should leave WDW to get to your house?

It's earlier than I originally thought also but it is the Yankees and like them or not they do draw a crowd. I am figuring the parking lot will fill like the Red Sox game but that doesn't mean we won't find a parking if we arrive later just that we will have a further walk. I'd say leaving my apartment by 12:15 would be plenty of time to get a parking and walk in for first pitch. That's even a little conservative. So, leaving WDW would be by 11:30 the latest.

One other item of note is they have one of those blow-up bouncing houses for the kids setup in the lawn section out in left field. It's made to look like a tiger.

Jeff, I'll look forward to meeting up with you :thumbsup2

We will also be in WDW October 4-9. A little early in Oct for us but it worked out better for DD who has the Friday before Columbus Day off and will therefore have extra time to spend with us. My SIL and possibly brother will be joining us and we will be back at BCV..YAY  I always look forward to our October trips..can you say chocolate creme brulee at the FWF!:rotfl: I hope to have lost lots more weight by then!

Good morning all!!! We are working all day on priming and painting our family room and dining room. The dining room is an awful blue color (yes, I did originally pick it out, but now I hate it), and our family room is full of dark, real wood paneling that just makes the room look like a winter lodge. So, we need to prime it all first, then start the painting. The dining room is going to a light greyish, beige on top of the chair rail, and the bottom will be new wainscotting (sp?) painted in a slightly darker shade than the top of the wall. The family room will be painted a linen color, with darker brown trim. I sure hope that it all turns out ok!! But, in order to get it done, I promised Chris that I already turned my computer off and now I need to turn the laptop off, so that I don't get distracted!! ;)

How did your painting go? We were all set to prime the woodwork, and walls in Laurens room, and then the day got away with us, and next thing we knew it was 7pm. The only good thing we did was move a big screen TV from Grandmas house over to the family room at our house. I am going to try to start on the woodwork tonight depending on when I get outta work...Doesnt look like it will be that late tonight, only maybe an hour more.

Unfortunately, we didn't get ANY painting done. Chris is on call, and he got paged constantly, that the only thing that we actually got done was to clear the room. And, Chris has meetings tonight and tomorrow night, but since Madison has school tomorrow morning, I figure that I have about 2.5 hrs of solid painting time.

Isnt it always that way, when you have nothing planned, then nothing else happens, and when yoou have alot planned, you never get to it when its planned. We have had the furniture for Laurens new room for 4 months in the laundry room in boxes, and we need to finish painting, and lay the hard wood flooring. I told Tim, no more vacations until we finish it...We are scheduled to be in Disney July13-18, then fly to Oklahoma City until the 23, and then drive back with his Dad... So we need to be finished by then. Lets see!

Wow looks like a lot of people have stopped by the thread in the last 24 hours!!

Jeff - Nice to see you popping by. Sounds like the meet at the Ball games are going to be a blast!!

Robin - If the pay is good maybe I will come down and be a Nanny! :lmao: (just kidding!)

Ah Hawaii and cruises! One day I'll make it to Hawaii and as of right now I have to wait until my next cruise, oh well.

Cindy,

The little movie theater closest to the resort has wonderful popcorn. The popcorn comes plain and there is a topping bar to the side where you can put your own popcorn flavoring on. Butter, cheese, jalepeno, cinnamon, etc. We try to hit the movies at least once while we are there.

Thanks, Roxann, I remember when you mentioned that last year. :thumbsup2

We talked to our friend Scott last night. Fishing hasn't picked up yet for the year :sad1: but it looks like crabbing is a go. :cool1:

It's coming quick now. :cheer2:

I'm so excited I forgot to post but I got my Disney crocs all nice and red with a black strap. The sizing for those curious is about the same as my other crocs and I'm a happy camper! Can't wait to wear them in Disney, I think I have to save them for then...a bit hard to do. Frustrated my weight didn't move this week :-P

Cheryl,
Forgot to mention I'd love to catch up with you and Todd as well as Jeff. Sounds like Friday night dinner might work or Saturday night. Is it true that under 21 can't get into the Comedy club in DDD anymore...even with an adult?

Hi Everyone!

Dana is home for spring break, so we spent the weekend visiting her sisters. Got to see the "baby bump" and Rebecca and then went north to Muncie to visit Anna.

Tried to catch up on posts. My apologies to those I've missed:

Gail....the Hawaii cruise sounds wonderful! Ken and I talked about doing one for our 30th last year, but the $$ just wasn't there. We did SSMC06 instead. We did go to Hawaii on our honeymoon, and I know that someday we'll make it back there!

Cindy...have a great time at HH! You know who to call if you ever can't use your points there!;)

Amy....good luck getting that painting done! And have a great time on your upcoming cruise!!

Jeff...nice to see you posting here more often! Check in anytime!

Karen....have a great time at the ball game! (I know you will!) Hey....aren't the Cardinals playing while you're down there too? ;)

Off to check on the laundry.:laundy: Have a great afternoon/evening everyone!

Evening all!

I love the new time change but with it comes the "busy" season for us. It's go, go, go every night with one thing or another or even sometimes we're lucky enough to have multiple things in one night. Those of you with little kids, enjoy the time that you have as once they start getting involved in a lot of things, those days will definately be numbered. Who can tell me, does it get easier when they get to be teenagers with less running around? I've heard it's a time with more worries for their overall well being though, so I guess there are trade offs to everything. :sad2:

MaryJ, nice to see you. How is your daughter feeling these days? Do you know, or will you know, whether or not your having a granddaughter or a grandson? Enjoy the rest of your spring break with Dana.

Speaking of babies, Robin, I can't believe that you are so close to the arrival of your little one. :cool1: How are you feeling chasing a preschoolers around all day long? Tired, I bet.
