First store I went to didn't either but Stop and Shop did..they carry it year round the other one said they only carry it at halloween time.
DD is making them now but I didn't splurge on the icing tips and they are struggling drawing the beak and legs.

I found them at the Bulk Food Store, so now I can eat the Mike N Ikes :teeth:

I bought the orange gel tube. I didn't buy the black gel tube for the eyes, I'll just use the chocolate frosting.

Did I mention how good the tube of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is??? :thumbsup2

Well nothing from DCL here today. After the last cruise it took awhile before we got our CC member# and Shore survival kits and when we did we each got one!

We received our magnet in the mail today and Tom has already put it on our fridge. Looks like we'll have to cruise again to get the puzzle. :rotfl2: Or I can just follow Chris' instructions for creating my own magnet. Thanks Chris!!

Shawn left Philadelphia around noon today. He called earlier and said traffic was at a stand-still heading toward the Tapanzee Bridge! It's raining all the way up Rt 95 and he probably won't be home til 10 or so. For those of you hitting the road for the holiday have a safe and happy holiday.

Traffic was a bear around here mid-afternoon as we were heading home from Brookfield Zoo. I guess that's two strikes against me (right Curt ;) ), as we not only went to the zoo but had a wonderful :sunny: day here in Chicago.

We went out tonight to Dave & Busters in sweatshirts. :thumbsup2 Christmas lights will go up on the house early tomorrow morning. I finally bought tickets for Medieval Times for for Thanksgiving Dinner. Yep, very non-traditional. Maybe sometime over the weekend I'll ( ) make a turkey. Better yet, maybe Gary can do it as then the kids might actually eat it. ::yes::

My kids were off of school today and won't go back until Monday. I'm closed until then as well. Gary will work on Friday as he traded that day for a day mid-December when we finally scheduled Walker to have his adnoids removed. It's been a long time coming, but I wonder now, how on earth I'm going to be able to keep him down and out for the recovery timeframe -- they say 4-5 days. I hope that's just a generous estimate and the doctor will actually say something different.

Medieval Times for Thanksgiving Dinner!?
Ok that is unusual. Who would have thought they would be open.

When is Walker going in to have his adnoids done?

Cindy,

Nick had his taken out 3 years ago(4 yrs old). Went in early on a Wednesday and was feeling pretty good after 2 days. The hardest part for him was coming out of the anestisia and not wanting the IV in his arm out. BUT THE EAR INFECTIONS STOPPED!!!!!!

Yeah, well, we're very unusual around here. It was actually the clincher to get Walker to change his mind about cooking here at home. I tell you, we're still not sure if we brought the right baby home from the hospital. Walker loves to cook (unlike us), hates to go out to dinner (unlike us) and loves to clean (unlike us). So, where this child came from, we're still not sure.

Walker's scheduled for 12/11.

Thanks, Erin. That's exactly what we're hoping for. When Cameron had them done, the recovery was rather quick but he was 3 at the time, 1/2 the age of Walker.

I think Walker has another surgery after he's healed. For the last couple of years, since the tube fell out, Walker's had a hole in his ear drum. It hasn't closed and something the doctor has talked about graphing at a future date. Maybe taking the adnoids out will help it to naturally close. It sure would be nice to not have any more ear infections. We're so use to them around here that we don't worry about water anymore, as it doesn't seem to be a huge factor, and just treat him with the drops when he starts with the ear infection. Walker is so in tune to it that he knows exactly when it's starting so we can nip it sooner rather than later.

I'm so jealous, no magnet or anything here :-( Here's for safe travels for Shawn. Michelle arrived safely last night, was up to 3am (loudly) with her friends here at the house...we have a tiny house so it felt like they were in our bedroom with us...sleep was difficult but it sure felt good to hear the "noise" again! Ahhh...kids...gotta love 'em!

Who bought this picture from shutters?

Sorry Erin - that was us. Mark has scanned it and fixed the logo. Our original plan was to print out copies and bring them to Michigan but we never got around to it. It is on the picture exchange as well as the pirate picture and the large group picture on the beach. If anyone wants them e-mailed directly just let me know.
