Okay, so I'm 21 pages behind (that's what going to work does to you) but I had to share my exciting news!! I won the trivia contest on the MouseTunes podcast!! The question was NOT Disney related, but I still was shocked to hear my name announced as I was listening to the podcast in the car this morning! My prize is a WDW Trivia book!
Congrats! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Gail those are great pages. I would really like to start scrapbooking after the cruise but I think I am going to do digital scrapbooking. I have found some sites and just have to figure it all out. Tom is getting really good using photoshop so he could help me. It just seems like there is not enough time in the day.
I've been wondering about digital scrapping too. It seems there's tons of stuff out there for PC users, but since I have a Mac, there isn't as much. Hadn't thought about PhotoShop though. Let me know how that works for you.

Well, on the ship, look for me, and I'll show you my CJ, so you can get an idea of what they look like. Heck, I'll try to bring it with me to the onboard DIS meet on Sunday.
I'll bring mine too!

Speaking of digital scrapbooking - someone asked pages and pages ago what I used. Most of what I did was in Microsoft Picture It! The older version I had I used a lot and really liked it. Then about a year and half ago I got a newer version and don't like it as well. Of course then I got into more traditional scrapbooking so it didn't matter as much.

Mark and I were just talking at Best Buy the other day that after the cruise I may look for something new.

I am finally caught up...now its off to do my job :rotfl2: Yesterday I went to Red Roin for the first time...I really love this place! I also took the girls to see Open Season...it was adorable, I had a nice relaxing day off on Monday! Then it was back to work today...Rather slow day, and I'm about ready to duck out early and go pick up the girls...So I will check back in later tonight!

Definitely!

I'm embarrassed to say I was going to post asking how you all figured out what number post each one is, when I went back to look. It's funny how after 6 years of following DIS (and it may not be that long if it was introduced with the latest software) I never noticed the post count in the upper righthand corner.

Well see that proves that this thread isn't just fluff. We learn things every day!

Oh, it was a story in itself.

Let's just start by saying I bet she never makes that mistake again. :rolleyes1

When I took the kids in August, we stayed at VWL. We had no problem coming through the guard shack, most guards looked to see we had a valid parking pass and waved us through with a smile. Then one afternoon, it was raining Mickey & Minnies (can you imagine, we have cats & dogs here ;) ) and I pulled up to the guard shack. Instead of waving us through, she came out and asked for my drivers license and/or room key. I said and pointed that I had a parking pass in my windshield but she was adament, I needed to prove we were staying there. When I finally dug it out and was soaked myself from the rain, she pointed to the other lane, telling me I could go through that lane in the future with my room key, rolled her eyes at me, turned her back on me and muttered "welcome home". :furious:

When we got into the lobby, I sent the kids to the arcade and spoke to a manager. I could understand it if it was the norm to be asked to prove I stayed at the resort, but this wasn't the case. Even the manager said they always use the parking pass unless it's late at night. I can fully understand that. I truly think that I ticked the guard off by pulling up and having her have to come out of the guard shack in the rain, and she was trying to make me pay for it.

When we got home, I also wrote a letter to guest services and had a long conversation with a cast member who took the time to call me and apologize for her actions. :thumbsup2

It was less than a perfect Disney moment.
A very different response than the guard at VWL who would come out, salute you, and then say "Welcome Home, Folks!" I haven't seen him there in a long time, but he was a class act!!!

The Fedex man came today! I love the DVC gift! It's really cute!

I went to the thrift store today.I bought one white 3/4 long sleeve shirt, one broom( black) skirt and one hot pink sash.I cut a v into the top of the shirt(looking for ribbon or sting to tie it back up),holes in the sleeves and fringed the bottom of the shirt and bottom of the sleeves.Left the black skirt as is. Sash is for my head. All of this cost just $5

I also bought my quilt fabric today. So all set on that too! It's been a good day!

I have another question about pirate night. Do they still give out the bandannas? Last year we were in Palo for pirate night and missed out.

Ohhhh I love the smell of burning leaves. Unfortunately no burning allowed here.

Its not LEGAL here either but we still have some who try EVERY year!

Yes at least they did back on the Magic in May. There weren't the red half ones that said Pirates In the Caribbean. Instead they were black and white generic ones like from Oriental Traiding.

Why?? Is that odd? Don't you do it with everything you buy?

I usually do, but last night, I had a stuffy nose so it wouldn't have worked.

It's really bad, though, when you open up the bag of flour. It tends to make a mess all over the place leave white dust all over my hair & face.

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

Thats a Kodak moment - CARE TO SHARE?

On the last cruise, Emily called that the "icky" soap. Because it's alcohol based, it stung her hand, since she had a paper cut on her finger. From that first night, we would have her wash her hands before we went into dinner because she didn't want to use the "icky" soap.

I agree with Emily. I have a non-contagious rash on my hands and therefore my hands are always cracked. That 'icky' soap makes me see stars. I even pack my own soap for my hotel room when I travel. I wash before I leave the room on teh ship and then don't touch anything before dinner.
