We are going to as well. One question though. Tom was thinking of wearing sandals rather than packing shoes. Would sandals be allowed in the dining room? What do the "experts" think?

We are having the pirate boot issue in this family as well. I ended up purchasing DH some boot covers from Fred Meyer for $8.00. That will have to do. DD and I will be wearing non-pirate shoes (the boots I bought hurt my feet). I thought about going around barefoot (wouldn't that be nice). I am not going to worry too much about the feet because I try to pack light and bringing lots of shoes along just isn't my idea of packing light.

Wow, I'm gone for the day and I had like 15 pages to catch up on!!

Thanks to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers, and . We do appreciate them so much. Bruce took Penny a little while ago. I'm really not sure what Emma understands, she had tears in her eyes when we said say goodbye and she wasn't coming back, but I was crying too, so who knows. I'm sure she'll ask for Penny a million times. I have some cleaning to do, get rid of the beds and bowls and toys. I just need it all gone right now.

Diana, I'm so sorry. I can see where it's time to put it all past you.

OMG, you guys! I am gone 3 1/2 hours and I have 7 new pages to read! If you talk this much on the cruise, we won't get to do anything else!

I know what you mean! These people talk SO much! I left here this morning at 10:39AM - page 1,430 and post 21,446. Then I came back at 6:17PM - page 1,446 and post 21,688! You people chat, chat, chat, chat, chat!

What's funny is that I heard the UPS truck and went to our front bay window and he was delivering something across the street and I was SO sad because he was on the other side of the street and he always delivers to our side first.

Anyway, Madison and I were just leaving the house to go get Emily from school and I saw the package by the door. I never even heard him come up to our house.

It's an 11 x 14 mat board with a 5 x 7 opening. I was planning on putting a picture of John & I in there but all of Shutter's 6x8 photos of us were taken landscape rather than portrait, so we opted for a stock Mickey & Minnie photo.

What a great idea Gail and it looks awesome!

Do you have a local shelter near by? We donated all of the stuff we had for Princess to our local shelter. They really appreciated it and it made me feel a little better knowing someone could use the bed, toys, food, etc.

Tom's costume is complete. He tried it on and can't wait for night! ARGH!! We'll need to get a group picture!

I did a little pirate shopping tonight as well.

I bought Walker a kids costume, came home and he was all excited to try it on. The only problem was as soon as he opened the package, it smelling like gasoline. So, it's going back tomorrow.

OH MY, 15pgs since this afternoon! I'm not caught up but thought I'd post first. We spent the night costume hunting. DH will be wearing a WOMENS frilly shirt as part of his pirate costume. He said "well after all these years you finally got me in womens clothes". I will make a red vest and he will wear black pants and it should be fine. I'm another story ...I was tossing up whether to go wenchy or more casual pirate with a fun saying shirt. So DH convinced me to go wenchy and I bought a skirt, heels, fishnet stockings, and a blouse. Only when I got home it all looked awful together :-( So back to square one. I got a shirt that says Good Girl Gone Bad that would work as casual pirate type. Or I can go shirt hunting again for a shirt that will work with the skirt..that seemed to be the major problem...too much black. OY!

One thing I think I should mention about the mailed docs.

Yes, they are nice to have as a physical confirmation in front of you. Also if you didn't do the online thing, it'll save you some time to get checked in. Also the luggage tags in advance will make it easier dealing with the luggage.

But you can still get on the ship showing up with nothing other than your identification. Although you should do at least the online checkin.

With no docs, it'll just take you a bit longer to get your luggage properly checked and your party checked in. But they have everything you'd need right there in the terminal, just to cover people that may have missed or lost the mailing. It isn't anything to get very stressed over. Just take a deep breath and realise you're going on the cruise.

We are not doing anything fancy for pirate night.

Walker will have the package outfit (if I can find one without the gasoline on it ). Gary, Cameron & I are wearing pirate tshirts with some accessories.

I just don't want anyone to get spooked and feel like they have to dress up. Last year, it was a mixed bag. Some had very nice costumes, some didn't dress up at all. Whatever you decide to do will be fine with everyone!!

I do have to say I did some extra shopping tonight. Gifts for my entire daycare are done for the holidays!! Forget that TMX Elmo I was trying to find for all the daycare kids. I went with the Fisher Price line anyway, just all that Little People stuff. Much, much easier and will spark some imagination play as well.
