I've learned accommodations can be made. On one of our 7-day cruises, we were at a table of 8. It was a retangular table and the couples that sat at either end would get frustrated at not being able to hear all the conversation. So we asked Sid, our matre d' if he could get us a round table. He did the next best thing and found us an oval table.

I'd be willing to bet that table of 18 was a retangular table. Sometimes I think smaller tables are more conduscive toward socialization.

You can link as many together as you desire through DCL, but the LARGEST pre-set table is the rectangular table which seats 14. It is table #23.

Once on board, accomodations most always are made or your servers or dining room managers will put tables together to accomodate.

I agree with you on socializing. When we are at the table of 14, we rotate every night so we can visit with each other. On the 11 night, they put two tables together and we ended up being a group of 12. The tables were much more narrow and it was next to impossible to carry on a conversation with the other end of the table. Also, Ivana had an extremely hard time serving us. Once the tables were squished together she couldn't get between us and the tables behind us. Good thing she was tiny. Once I sat down, I couldn't get up until after dinner when the table behind us cleared out.

(I know it is NOT because we ate too much at dinner each night)

Yea Baby! 52 oz. of your favorite beverage.
20oz - No Way! that's just a sip :rotfl: 32oz - Ha! I'm still thirsty :lmao:

I looked up the proper recipe for a rum & coke (captian's... of course :smooth: )

1½oz of rum, 5oz of coke. Mix in a highball glass 2/3 full of ice.
Now let's convert for the Bubba Keg! (insert angelic chourus)
That would be 12oz of rum and 40oz of coke.
And it's insulated so don't waste space with ice... keep your rum ice'd down.

That's MY Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah drink of the day!
Of cource packing the suitcase may be somewhat of an issue :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: I just read this to DH...Captain's fan he is! I think he is drooling just now.

WooHoo John actually hit 35. He's on a roll! He might just be able to be as talkative as the chatterboxes on this thread :chat:

With all the great things DVC is planning for us, do you think we'll be able to find time in for a little cigar and drinking party?
We could hang out (um... sit down and relax) in the Cove Cafe.

UPS will deliver on Monday.

I was checking an online order and it is scheduled for a Monday delivery.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
UPS made it to Ohio (at least this part). We got our docs today!

I'll sign too. I've made "exchange" quilts before. I bring 50 squares and exchange with 50 others (each gets one of everyone's squares all within a color theme). It's alot of fun.
Now what am I missing! Another crafty idea?

The quilt thing must be a popular thing right now. Deanna cleaned out her drawers and gave me all her old soccer tee shirts. She wants me to cut the logo off the front or back and put them together and make her a quilt. Who does this girl think she has for a mother - Martha Stewart :rotfl: Along with not being able to cook, I can't sew either!

just got home from work and our docs are here :Pinkbounc :dance3: :bounce:
Why do they have my maiden name on the doc and not my married name? is that right?? : :confused3

The docs need to have whatever name is on your drivers license or passport. If they don't match up I would call DVC ASAP and have everything straightened out. DCL will not help you because DVC is acting as your travel agent. They might need to reprint your docs. What does it say on the DCL web site when you go online? Should be the same as your docs that you received.

Cool concept. How did you find out about a place like that? I just might have to sign Walker & Gary up -- they would love to cook dinners together.

They have a few of those places around here. One of these days I'll try it out and see how I like it!

No clue about UPS holidays. :confused3

Yes, Monday afternoon is THE day for Penny so I appreciate your thoughts and prayers, especially for poor Emma who very suddenly has a huge amount of love and interest in the dog that steals her breakfast just about every morning.

P&P for you and the girls. If you need ANYTHING just call me.

And if anyone is giving a tie tying class I would happily participate as I leave my ties tied and simply loosen/tighten them when I need to wear one.

You sound like My Jeff. I can help with the tie tying, I'm pretty good at it.

I was reading about a quilt someone did for their cruise. Would you all mind signing a square of fabric? I might make me a quilt with all of us on it! It's a great way to remember all of the friends I've come to love!

That's an awesome idea. My family would love to sign a fabric square for you!!

Both online and documents have maiden name. DH says that when he booked in Dec they asked for spouses maiden name. I don't have passport, am using birth certificate, could that be reason?? I Will call to verify.
