Regarding *My* Detroit Tigers:
For those that feel that the boys will go down meekly, without a fight ~
(That's for Chris...

)
Now, in all seriousness ~
Yes, I realize that we may not make it past the first round. I may be a fanatic, but I'm not a fool. But, you know what? I honestly don't care. I rooted for the Tigers when they lost 119 games in 2003, and I've rooted for them throughout their 95 wins this season. My team will
ALWAYS be the Detroit Tigers - no matter what. This season has been a gift for those of us who never lost faith in them (all we were hoping for this season was .500 ball!!!). I have never been embarrassed to wear the Olde English D, but I have never been more proud. They are a wonderful group of guys - and I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting a number of them - who truly embody the spirit of this amazing game. No one can take this magical season from us - win or lose. We deserve to be one of the eight playoff teams. As Nate Robertson (tonight's starting pitcher) said in yesterday's press conference, "We'll walk out on the field with our heads held high, and we'll walk off the field with our heads held high".
Now, it's time to go follow my 163rd game of the season (not counting Spring training, of course...

).
Play Ball!!!
(And Go Tigers!!!)
