We have never had anything like this happen. :sad2:

We've had our guide call us a couple of times. I think our first and second trips as members. Now we get nothing. Of course, our guide has left, so that could be part of it. :)

We've never had our guide leave us a welcome home message either. We have, however, gotten to see her at both Member Homecoming and at the DVC event in downtown Chicago. That was nice.

Wow - another UTOP! Shared with our guide Julie.

Mary, remember the guide who did the DVC stuff on the double scoop cruise? She was the one with the kinda pointy hair (for lack of a better way to describe it) I went up to her and said "we were on the January cruise with you too!!" Well, then we bumped into her at the SSR pool!

Actually, I think I've figured out that she is our new replacement guide! Now all of our stuff is coming from Joan. And that was the woman's name on the cruise! Small world!! (oops, sorry to start that up again)

Ah, still letting that little thing called work get in your way of DISing? ;)

Well, doc-less Diana just called DVC to inquire about my cruise docs. I have to say, in my 4+ years of dealing with DVC, I just spoke to the most USELESS snotball I've ever come across!! :furious:

I tell him I'm booked on the member cruise and haven't received my docs yet, I'm wondering if he could tell me when they were shipped out. He replies--Well, they were just shipping out yesterday, so you won't have them yet. So I told him 40 of my closest friends and shipmates have already received them and could he please look into when mine were shipped out because local people received them last week. You seriously would have thought I asked this guy to donate an organ for me. The attitude was insane. So he huffs and puts me on hold to call DCL. He comes back and tells me they were MAILED and heres the post office tracking number 1Z..... and go to the post office website to see where they are. THANKS A LOT FOR BEING SO HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY !!!!

Fortunately I know they are coming UPS as 1Z is a UPS tracking number. At least he could have given me correct info. :sad2: The docs are due to be delivered here tomorrow. Why are my docs a week late compared to everyone elses? I mean, sure I realize they can't all be mailed the same day, but it's been a pretty long time. :confused3

I'm again disappointed between this and the lack of communication, come on, we're almost a week out, I'm still hoping for the best, but realize it just may not compare to last year.

Well Docless Diana - I am in the same boat as you and I forgot to call today, so I will call tomorrow morning. Of course I tried to call DCL and I got the snotty rep as well - you need to call DVC.... duh ... but the docs are from DCL correct. yes bet I cant give you this info... WHATEVER....

Ahhh you and me both Mary! I can't wait for next Friday as I'll be in NY at the Rhinebeck wool festival. Have you been? What are you knitting now? Are you a one project knitter or do you have many going at once? I was challenged by a friend to make a spreadsheet. It has all current projects and the bag it's in, LOL, and all future planned projects. I have about 18 projects in process...YIKES!:scared1:
Let's see.....right now I'm working mainly on baby things. Five people that we know and are close to are having babies, four of them are in Feb. and March. I also have a sleeveless sweater that I started last summer, and I think I will wait until the weather starts to warm up again to bring it back out. And then there's the poncho that just needs fringe. I made it planning to take it on the cruise, so I'd better get busy on the fringing!!

Those baby projects are going to keep me busy from now until spring break! (insert knitting smiley here)

:surfweb: Good morning everyone,

As we begin our (seemingly) never ending odyssey towards the decks of the Disney Wonder and SSMC06 we come one day closer to our goal. To reach this goal we endeavor ourselves to fill the day with the ranting, ravings, (in some cases outright droolings for the poor employees of FedEx and Hooters). We will extol well our talents for scrap booking, our seemingly endless knowledge of cinema, and just getting through the trials and tribulations of suburbia. We share our joys and sadly our heartaches, knowing that through this portal there are other wandering tribes of mousekateers who will join together in support and cheer.

BUT WAIT, tribes people (PC) there is soft glow coming from the south east (N28o22’38.24” W81o32’10.75” for the technos, like myself). The glow brightens with each passing day, minute, hour & second (12d/8m/59h/59s) we gravitate towards it like moths to a candle, where our pocket book and wallet burst with childish bliss in the pyre. Our quest to leave reality behind for carrot cake, crème brule, begets and Mickey bars ends soon, why just in the time it taken to read this we are 3 minutes closer.

So I bid you well greetings fellow tribes people and give hopes that your trail today will be less stressful, and that a smile will cross your face and the theme song to It’s a Small World will pass your lips at least once today.

That's a new one! I've never heard us referred to as "tribes people"! Whatever it takes to get us closer to our ultimate destination is fine with me!

I did get an email from our DVC guide with a welcome home message. It is the first time I have ever received anything. I thought it was pretty kewl!

To late! :sad2:
I'm just glad that I didn't read this earlier today! All together now, It's a Small World After All! It's a Small World After All! It's a Small World After All! It's a Small World After All!

Okay, you get the picture! Thanks Curt! :confused3

Our original guide is gone now too, but we never heard from her when she was still at DVC.

And of course the new guide doesn't know us from Adam, and Ken thinks it's silly to try to maintain a relationship with her until we're ready to buy more points.

Just a little PSA:

Ladies and Gentlemen - we are 1/4 of the way to a new milestone already.

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

HOLY COW!!! :earseek: This is the first I've had a chance to get on the computer today and I see I have nearly 30 pages to catch up on again. What, don't you people have anything better to do? :rotfl2: I don't know how I'm going to get us packed and ready to leave by Saturday if I have this much to read every day!
:dancer: party: :dancer:
WE ARE DOING THE HAPPY DANCE HERE!
:dancer: party: :dancer:
:cheer2: OUR DOCS FINALLY ARRIVED! :cheer2:
I'll try to catch up later, but for now it's time for dinner...

Yippee!!! My giclee arrived today!!! This is turning out to be a great week!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

And, for those that are still waiting for it, mine arrived via the adorable, FedEx man!!!

Congratulations! I can't believe all of the different carriers used to deliver these. I wonder if they got complaints regarding USPS. Tom was calling our local post office because the mail man tried stuffing ours into the mailbox! Not very smart!

Well, I had to wait until I was almost 50 years old and the kids were nearly grown. But it was worth the wait.

Well, I'm closing in on 50 and my kids definately won't be grown by then. I guess we'll just have to plan to take them with. ::yes::

For all you scrapbookers out there (or for the newbies), check out www.twopeasinabucket.com and click on PeaNut Gallery. Then, you can do a search on "Disney Circle Journal" and you'll see several different ones that people have done.

Thanks Amy! I just saved this site to my favorites. I'll check it out after I get caught up reading 22 pages of posts! Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! Blah! :lmao:
