Finally caught up. We got our docs last night. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I can't believe that in two weeks from now we will be at Fantasmic. :goodvibes

The girls have their first real meet tomorrow. We have to be up at 5 AM to get there on time. I think I am going to be very tired tomorrow. Should be fun for them once they are really awake. I spent two hours today cleaning the inside of my car. I have no idea what was under the girls seats but it was really gross. :confused3

If you'll be driving on 94 we might pass each other. We have to leave at 4:30 am to take dd to the airport. She's flying out to Arizona for a school interview. She gets back into Detroit on Tuesday at 5 am. I tried to give her the money to park her car at the airport, but I got the "Don't you want to drive me to the airport" along with the pouty face and since I don't have a backbone (according to John) when it comes to saying no to the kids, I gave in and said I'd drive her.

Good luck to the girls on their meet.

We survived Cameron's party. :crazy2:

It was certainly an eye opening experience. :rolleyes1

5 boys and myself. We started with lunch which cost me almost $140 -- they had a special which included a $10 game card with each meal. The sad thing was that most of the meals went right into the garbage. One of the boys left an entire cheeseburger, untouched except for the huge glob of ketchup he put all over it -- he said his mother fed him lunch before he came. :sad2: Another boy ordered a shrimp platter and didn't eat anything but a couple of french fries. :sad2: Another boy ate about 1/2 of his cheeseburger but managed to drink down several sodas. :sad2: Another ate a couple of bites of chicken fingers. :sad2: Cameron & I were hungry so we finished the burger Cameron had and the salad I had. It still was hard to swallow the bill in the end, knowing that it went right in the garbage. Then the waiter asked if anyone wanted dessert and a couple of boys moaned and groaned when I said we were going to pass. :headache:

They did enjoy the games -- but again, one of the boys went through his $10 game card in about 2 minutes. :confused3 I guess when your 10, there isn't any thought into making it last, although the other boys didn't have a problem.

I recharged each card for another $10. Cameron had a great time, which is what I have to focus on. I also know this is the last birthday party he's having. Last year we went to WDW for the long weekend, I'm wishing we did the same this weekend.

A couple boys in the group were loud and obnoxious. No matter how many times I asked them to respect the others in the restaurant or to lower their voices or to stay in their seats, they continued to act like little morons. I'm so glad that Cameron is not like that -- if I ever hear that he acts like that with a group of friends, we're going to have a long discussion.

One of the boys was invited to sleep over tonight -- Cameron's choice, thankfully (I really should thank him for that decision ;) ). Then all of the sudden driving home, it turns out that all the boys are thinking they are going home to pack their gear and head back over. Nicely, but firmly, i squashed that idea rather quickly -- as I'm not prepared to have several boys sleep over tonight. Or at least that was my excuse.

Cameron just asked if we could go see Open Season. I'm not sure if I have it in me anymore tonight -- I can just see me sleeping through the entire thing. Maybe I'm just use to little kids -- like my daycare who cooperate and have nice manners in public.

I haven't decided if we're going off to the show tonight or not. But, if the other boys decide to take it upon themselves to show up at the door for a sleepover, you can bet we'll be out the door in a flash. :)

Glad to see you survived the party! Run and hide and don't answer the door if the boys come knocking :rotfl2:

I have to take a minute to brag on my daughter's high school band. Today was their first competition of the year and they received all 1's across the board! They were so excited! This is only the second year our school has been open so we only have freshman-junior students. They work hard and it really paid off today! We'll find out on Monday if they were voted one of the top 5 bands of the day. We compete again next Saturday, then again on the Wednesday we are on the cruise. I hated that they scheduled the UIL competition that day, I guess someone forgot to call to check with me first

Karen the kids look like they did a great job. It must have been all that coaching. That must have been so much fun for all.

Cindy I think I would have taken the boys home early. I really hate it when they have no respect. Brooke has one friend that is really bad and she always wants to come over. She constantly invites herself over and I have told her a million times that she needs to wait for Brooke to ask her over. Brooke does not want anything to do with her but she doesn't give up. I have heard from other parents that she does the same thing with them.

Tigers and U of M win on the same day. It is a great day to be in MI. :cheer2:

I just checked the weather and it is calling for SNOW on Thursday night and
Friday. Highs on Friday 41 to 45. This is way to early in the year to have snow. Today it was 70 and sunny. :sunny: I think it is time to move.

That is very impressive. Congratulations. :cheer2: I can't believe that they didn't check with you first. I bet if you call they would change it. :rotfl2:

Yeah, right. Its only the entire north Texas region that will be competing that day. Maybe I should call the head of UIL here in Texas and say "Hey! I'm on a cruise that day so I can't see my kid march in your competition. I think you should change the date just so I can be there." That would go over like a lead balloon!

Ilene - did they box it up really well? At this rate I think mine might be spending a week at the POST OFFICE while we are cruising.
Don't feel bad, Erin!! No giclee for me today either!!! :confused3

At least you didn't chicken out. When we went on our DCL cruise out of LA last year I did. I had a posted a bit but mainly lurked like I do here. I walked past the meeting DIS group at least six times and never worked up the courage to go up and introduce myself. I hope to do better this trip.
Oh Rose, please don't just walk by!!! You have to come up and introduce yourself!!!

6:30am! I wish mine let us sleep that long. The don't get B-fast till 5am but sometimes they start at 4am trying to wake us up. One of the two has theis thing for playing with my lamp on my nightstand and I've been rudely awaked when I all of a sudden have a lamp on my head! (and no alcohol in my system :lmao: )

Stacy and Annmarie,
Our puppies sleep with us. DH gets up to take them out at 5:30 then they come back to bed until I get up to take a shower at 7am when they get breakfast. They would love it if I caved and gave them breakfast at 6 but I make them wait!

They got every thing on their list. Actually, they way it was timed out in our heads it worked out perfectly. Nick got to his potential stopping point right at 45 seconds. KT did have about 6 seconds left once she got everything she wanted, so she just grabbed some more of the shirts and skirts. :) The BAB people were really sweet. Took polaroids and also printed us out about 10 digital pictures in 5x7! The kids got T-shirts too!! Of course, walking through Easton with THREE wardrobes, THREE stuffed bears and an overfull bag made them look like spoiled brats. You wouldn't believe the looks we got!!! :earseek:
Wow, what a great haul!!! I love the pumpkin bears!!!

Great Pictures!!!
I can only imagine trying to carry all that stuff out to the car!
The heck with what some people thought. The kids t-shirts should have said it all.

WOW! Looks like they had a great time and got some great stuff. I am a bear collector so you KNOW it looks great to me. I love the halloween bear..to cute! I have "dimples" the bear on my bed but I own at least 200 or so bears of different sizes and shapes. Quite a few are the Ty bears and a few are "cottage collectibles" and Boyd. I also have disneys Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House. I just love bears.
