I'm just a Bill, Yes I'm only a Bill;
and I'm sitting here on Capital Hill,
hoping that one day it's off to the White House
where I'll stand in a line (Bill waving);
with a lot of other bills for the president to sign,
and then I BE A LAW...

Thats from memory....

I loved watching that little rolled up piece of paper sing!

Talking about shyness, last year we stayed at POR pre-cruise. We were running late for the DIS meet and Bon Voyage party, the boat was taking forever so I was in high gear, all stressed about being late....we get to DTD, I high tailed it over to where we were meeting and then all of a sudden I froze in my tracks--I've never met these people. I'm really shy. I started to panic.....I'm now literally feet away from the huge group about to hyperventilate. :rotfl2: Surely, me the shyest person in all the world can't walk up to this giant group of people!! We were like 30 minutes late. Then all of a sudden Julie is right in front of me talking like she's known me forever! I was ok after that. But for a bried moment that inner voice was saying "RUN!! No one has seen you yet!! You can run and they won't even know you were here!" I almost chickened out of the DIS meet! :lmao: I'm really glad I didn't! :goodvibes

At least you didn't chicken out. When we went on our DCL cruise out of LA last year I did. I had a posted a bit but mainly lurked like I do here. I walked past the meeting DIS group at least six times and never worked up the courage to go up and introduce myself. I hope to do better this trip.

Erin,
Yes, they boxed it up very well. The documents on the outside of the box on mine got kinda scrunched up and even a corner of the box, so I'm swearing as I open it, but the inside was perfect.

NOTE TO ALL:
There is now a room change fee, if you change your room after arrival at a resort so make sure you make all your "requests" at time of reservation.

Mine does the same thing. If I'm not out of bed by 6:30 she is pushing me with her head to wake me so that I'll feed her and give her fresh water. She doesn't bother Tom!

6:30am! I wish mine let us sleep that long. The don't get B-fast till 5am but sometimes they start at 4am trying to wake us up. One of the two has theis thing for playing with my lamp on my nightstand and I've been rudely awaked when I all of a sudden have a lamp on my head! (and no alcohol in my system :lmao: )

Great Pic!!!
Those are some serious Pirate outfits!

No matter what John says I had no intention of dressing for pirate night on the Member Cruise - nor the 11 night cruise. Over Labor Day weekend Carol & Joe were here and we were looking at a costume catalog I had received. Carol's dh (the least likely of all to want to dress up) was all gung ho on getting costumes. So we ordered them - 1 1/2 weeks before we left for the 11 night. Since the 4 of us were wearing costumes our friends (who were even more adament about not dressing up) decided to shop for costumes. So that's the real pirate costume story.

Ok, whew. Long day (seems like I say that everyday) No way I'll catch up with today's posts. Congrats to the milestone snaggers. Oops, sorry, Mary, I thought you were talking the THREAD'S 20,000 mark!! :) My bad.

Here's some pictures from the day.

Here's Nick's action shot:

Here's KT's action shot:
IMG_3711.jpg

Here's a picture of the two of them with their boxes stuffed (look at KT's box...so stuffed it's bursting open!)
IMG_3713.jpg

Here's them with all of their stuff nicely packaged. Yes, all three wardrobes are filled as is the big bag!! They each got a bear and they helped me with a bit of my Christmas shopping...the bear in the middle is for my great nephew! Thanks, kids! :)
IMG_3716.jpg

They got every thing on their list. Actually, they way it was timed out in our heads it worked out perfectly. Nick got to his potential stopping point right at 45 seconds. KT did have about 6 seconds left once she got everything she wanted, so she just grabbed some more of the shirts and skirts. :) The BAB people were really sweet. Took polaroids and also printed us out about 10 digital pictures in 5x7! The kids got T-shirts too!! Of course, walking through Easton with THREE wardrobes, THREE stuffed bears and an overfull bag made them look like spoiled brats. You wouldn't believe the looks we got!!! :earseek:

School House Rock was good. For high schoolers they did a great job. Could have been a little louder, luckily I already knew all the words (our local children's theater did it last year and we saw it twice, watched the DVD's endlessly, and have it on the iPod)

Here's the rundown of songs they did:
Verb: That's What's Happening
A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing
Three is a Magic Number
Mother Necessity
Sufferin' Till SUffrage
Lolly, Lolly, Lolly
Unpack your Adjectives
Just a Bill
The Preamble
Ready or Not, Here I Come
Circulation
Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla
Figure 8
Zero, My Hero
Conjunction Junction
Melting Pot
Elbow Room
Interplanet Janet
Interjections
The Tale of Mr. Morton

(in Interplanet Janet I was wondering how they'd handle Pluto's demotion to a dwarf planet.....after the sung line of "And Pluto, little Pluto is the smallest planet of them all" they said "well, not anymore!!!" :lmao: )

Congrats to Stacy on post #21000!

Congrats to Amy on reply #21000!

And we were wondering if we would make it to 20,000 by cruise time. Anyone care to bet on the total when we do leave???

Congrats !

I'm so Excited!

Thanks to a fellow Dis'r who unfortunately had to cancel out on the Med Repo but was kind enough to contact me to see if I wanted her cabin!?!

Well it looks like a done deal!

The only reason why I booked was to get a Murphey Bed in the Living Room for DD but wasn't lucky enough, until now to get one!

Now I can go off tonight to see WICKED!

j

Yea for you!!!!
I can't imagine what that cruise will be like!

I was out most of the day today. I was able to snag a last minute Accupuncture appt. and I'm feeling so much better already. Some people it works for and some people it doesn't, I hope it doesn't stop working for me, since it's been the only thing that's really helped my fibromyalgia. Next on the list was Xmas tree shops for river rocks for a vase I have. No luck (and $20 spent on stuff I didn't need, LOL) but Michaels happens to be next door so I tried there..VOILA. The only problem is I had to go past the lady demoing the Cricut. WOW! I resisted though so she showed me the Sizzix next and I resisted that too, I'm so proud of myself. I only bought the river rocks..YAY! Those machines are really nice though if you can afford them. OH BTW, I got another scrapbook at Xmas tree for $5, it has a beach themed cover and sissors and glue and some paper and stickers in it..couldn't resist for the $5. I think it will be my circle journal if I decide I can do it.

Great Deal!!
You know you want to do the CJ after this cruise!
It just takes an hour or two once a month just so you can have a special momento!!!

Cool Beans!!
I didn't even notice because I'm just trying to get caught up!!!

Karen, KT & Nick looked like they had a blast at BAB. I can't believe how much stuff they snagged in 45 seconds. What a pretty cool day for them!

Great Pictures!!!
I can only imagine trying to carry all that stuff out to the car!
The heck with what some people thought. The kids t-shirts should have said it all.

Except they were clutching their bears to their chests and ppl couldn't read the shirts. :lmao:

It wasn't too bad getting it to the car. I carried two wardrobes. Mike carried a wardrobe and the bag. The kids carried bears. :)

U TOP with un-spoiled rotten kids and Stitch#1 :)

J, Your going to see Wicked? You are soooo lucky! Sold out too fast here, and now my dd is going to see it in London in December. I'm going to see it sometime, the book was very good.

Hey guys, my glicee came today. They spent a pretty penny sending those babies out. I can't wait to put it up....but WHERE!

Karen has seen Wicked four times. She's traveled to Chicago to see it three times and once here in Detroit. I've seen it twice and it really is a classic Broadway musical. We both highly recommend it for anyone who is considering seeing it.

You better -- because I remember you from the last member cruise. And, I hope I don't have to point you out to the crowd. :)
