On my old phone it was Ode to Joy which is what I walked up the aisle at my wedding to. Just got a new phone and haven't done a custom ring tone yet.

My ringtone is Ode to Joy for when my DH is calling. I have different ring tones for different people. Does it cost anything to download the Disney ringtones?

Hey sister--I have a pre-paid phone to! I'm not a big phone talker but I feel safer having a phone. I've been doing prepaid for 8 years now. I started with a Tracfone and bought the 1 year plan for $99 that gave me 300 minutes I never even came close to using them all, so after like 6 years I still ended up with a balance of a few hundred minutes left. I switched to T-mobile almost 2 years ago and I love it. It's $100 for 1000 minutes and 1 year of service. But what I like best is that they are anywhere minutes. On Tracfone roaming was 2 minutes for 1 minute. AND I can download fun ringtones and wallpapers on my tmobile phone. My wallpaper is cinderella castle

I think that it was you that convinced me (and Chris) that I could get a cell phone without paying a fortune on monthly fees. I just never used my phone enough to justify the cost of $40/month. I would maybe use it for 30 minutes a month, which mean that it was over $1/minute or more at times. That was ridiculous. Anyway, you'll have to clue me in on how to get fancy ringtones on my t-mobile phone.

Okay....so I couldn't get Be Our Guest for this new phone, so I settled for The Magnificent Seven (hey! VWL is our home!) and The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything (just for fun!). If I can figure out whether or not I can program certain rings for certain people, the Pirates song will be for DD.

Mine is Zip a Dee Do Da and my Voice Mail ring is Yo Ho Yo Ho a Pirate's life for me!

I'm very boring. I have no ringtone and voice mail has never been set up.

One would think that a mail carrier wouldn't have to be reminded that!

In my development, a lot of the street names are similar. Many have "wood" at the end, but mine doesn't. All the house numbers on each street in the development go from 1-40. So on each street there's a #20. And I know every person's business at each #20 and they know mine. I know who is a member or AARP. Who shops at Coldwater Creek. Who orders parts for their Jeep. I'm sure they all know I'm a Disney fan.

I did file a complaint with USPS about the smoking and the butts that the dummy throws on my lawn. Bruce thinks I should mail myself a package and hide in the window with the video camera and tape him walking up my driveway smoking and chucking his butt on my lawn. Then I'll send it to the news stations.

Sounds like a good idea to me!! Chris would FREAK out if our mail started coming smelling like smoke. He can't stand it. He'd be complaining on the first day!!

I got it from the post office. They mailed it to me on a little postcard.

Maybe we should invent something like a recording that is activated when the mailbox door is opened. Something to the effect of "HEY, THIS IS 9244 RED***, STUPID!"

Hi all, When RRBB calls me "It's a Small World" blasts from my phone.

I too personalize ringtones and have been plying with the default. Right now it is "Fusion" (A bunch came on my phone).

For Most of my crazy friends I have "Mad Moo"
My Parents get "Hello Moto"
I keep threatening to put the Monorail "Please Stand Clear Of the door" on for my TAGLIARCHY friends... Hmm, I have a few minutes now... I wonder if it will be loud enough...

Mine WOULD be "Beautiful One" but I'm too cheap to spend the $1.99 to get it!!

(it's a contemporary Christian one we sing at church. I love the song. I also must admit I'm stalling b/c I'm afraid I'll just keep letting the phone ring and ring and won't answer the phone!!)

I went to Women of Faith in Philadelphia last weekend. I saw the group Avalon perform, they were great. The one girl was VERY pregnant, in fact it was her last performance and she is due Oct 22nd, hmmm I wonder why I remember that date??
We also were entertained my Nicole C. Mullin. Wow, she was a great performer too.
Anyway, I just thought I would share.

Well I just caught up and we are on page #1149!

When Cameron was in kindergarten, we received his Disney stock proxy. In the sealed envelope, right behind his, was one for one of his classmates who lived several blocks away.

It wasn't a USPS error, but let's just say, her Mom was rather surprised when we brought their mail to school for them.


Not long ago, I was leafing through some junk mail and came across a bill that someone had mailed. The stamp had never been cancelled. It was a bill of some type. I was unsure as to what to do with it, so I caught our regular mail carrier, who just shook his head and took the envelope with him. I'm sure that person was rather upset to find out their check hadn't arrived at the destination.

Makes you wonder where all that mail does go.

I know I'm guilty of sending things out without enough postage. I did it sending something to Diana not long ago. IIRC, it arrived at her house (probably stinking of smoke ) with no postage due. It did make me wonder for a moment why we ever bother buying the $.02 stamps when there is a postage increase.

This wasn't a USPS error, but once we got an envelope with those "credit card convenience checks" in them.....I think it was from the AOL VISA we used to have.....well, in the SAME envelope as mine were SOMEONE ELSE'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. There were 3 or 4 checks based on MY account and 3 or 4 based on SOMEONE ELSE'S!!!

The envelope was sealed when it got here, so it was definitely an AOL VISA error!!!!

Julie, I love seeing all the things you are gathering for your big event! Besides Elmo, are you still missing anything? Seems like you've acquired a lot.

I ask because as I am training for my long distance event there is a time just very close to the actual day that we must go into "taper mode." That time is quite stressful, many will go do a lot of shopping and such to relieve stress. I'd hate to see what happens when you go into the taper mode.


Boring ringtones here. Just use what came with the phone. Different rings for different folks, just boring.

LOL Lily - I did do some shopping today for some things to keep the kids busy at dinner, however, a very good friend of mine mentioned that she did the same thing and the kids didn't touch them so I think I am taking it back.

We did get our welcome bags today - but they are wrong and I am very sad. I must call the company tomorrow. The bags look great, but we paid for zippered bags and received regular non zippered totes. NOT what I paid for and I am NOT happy. Do not mess with the bride 5 weeks from her wedding!

Oh, here's another one I got. I usually flip all my mail upside down and zip it all open before I even LOOK at who it's to or from. I zipped all the mail then pulled something out of an envelope and it was an ORDER FORM for Longaberger baskets. Some consultant had had a party and was mailing in the order form with the check (like $300)!!! Her number was on the form so I called to tell her that I was going to stick it BACK in the mail and send it onto Longaberger myself....but I wanted her to know so that if she wondered why it took so long, that was the reason. She thanked me profuesly b/c it had been missing over a week!!! She kept hounding Longaberger!!

She ended up sending me a hardback Longaberger Cookbook for my troubles!! WOW!
